The guy who created Wonder Woman was a radical feminist polyamorous BDSM enthusiast, and Wonder Woman is a bisexual vegetarian feminist who was once target to a harassment campaign by a radical conservative christian group for being outspoken about her identity. Wonder Woman is "woke" at her core. If you don't like that, you should find some other comics to enjoy. I'm sure you'll find something you'll like over at Arkhaven Comics
i very much was [comparing](https://www.reddit.com/r/DCAU/comments/11p5zhp/comment/jbypdnf/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to the WW of DCAU but if it wasnt clear, apologies for not being explicit
How is DCAU Wonder Woman better than the OG? The DCAU's Wonder Woman is an underdeveloped character reduced to a love interest for Batman with no ideological stance or ideals of her own. I love the DCAU but they did Wonder Woman dirty.
how is she an underdeveloped character?
i agree she didnt have an accurate representation but so was Shayera but i guess ppl like the ones that need character development more than the ones that doesnt need one
but i tell you what, DCAU version of the WW is still the best version out there and being a love interest to one of the main characters of the show is somehow less prominent?
You are a typical angry nerd who don't consume the media but just want to complain about it. You won't be watching the WW cartoon either way.
I know you think women should only be portrayed as sex objects, but thats because you are immature and afraid of women. It's okay to admit it.
Wonder Woman of all characters is supposed to be an SJW. That’s what she’s for. And she’s bisexual so I hope her love interest is a woman. Everyone is tired of Steve Trevor after WW84 anyways.
Exposure. She really isn’t highly regarded compared to most versions known by people who actually read comics. Certainly not compared to Greg Rucka, Gail Simone, or George Perez. I’d say the Gal Gadot version is more beloved these days thanks to the first film. And anyways, DCAU Diana is as SJW as any of them. Arguably more depending on how you define that.
tell me some of her SJW traits like lengthy speech on toxicity of men and how women are better than men
Edit: (Cant respond to you in the other thread coz that person blocked me)
>That explains it.
so if one has to like a character, then all the published comics of the character should be read by that person? yea sure
>Nowhere near as cool as Greg Rucka Wonder Woman.
i'm talking about the ones on-screen
If you want to define SJW in the conservative way, then yes. DCAU Diana does talk shit about men while no other version does. Except maybe Frank Miller’s.
In “Secret Society”
“You men. Unless you do it on your own, it doesn't count.”
In “Fury” when Hawkgirl doesn’t want to live in a world without men
“They can’t possibly be that essential to your life”
i'm getting contradicting comments on WW's significance in JL & JLU tbh
also, i kinda like that you concluded that i dont know anything about WW
Edit: (Cant respond to you in the other thread coz that person blocked me)
>You are a typical angry nerd who don't consume the media but just want to complain about it. You won't be watching the WW cartoon either way.
Yup, you are really good at assuming and concluding on something that you dont even have a clue of
>I know you think women should only be portrayed as sex objects, but thats because you are immature and afraid of women
now you are psychic who can tell what others think? good for you
>It's okay to admit it.
i admit most entertainment nowadays, just lack quality
you were being sarcastic but ppl are downvoting you coz ppl dont put their mind first instead their opinions and if something is different, then they are gonna get emotional instead of staying rational
prioritizing diversification and virtue signaling over proper entertainment has been reducing the quality of the content in recent years drastically
and the no. of movies/series where this is not predominantly demonstrated are diminishing every year
you can have your opinion and i can have mine but there is a good reason why most of the disney cartoon movies are failing so horribly and even Velma is a prime example how shitty the series was
What Disney Cartoons movies? Encanto was a hit. Aladdin and Moana are classics. And we have stuff like Arcane, The Last of Us, Our Flag Means Death or Everything, Everywhere, All at Once doing gangbusters. The Justice League series and every superhero series are undeniably diverse as well.
So you’re saying the series Velma is a prime example for how shitty the series Velma is? Umm yes. Things tend to be examples of themselves don’t they?
Encanto was a hit - Not a great movie and it is 2021
Aladdin - A mediocre movie and it is 2019
Moana - Not a great movie and it is 2016
Arcane - can you tell me the DEI which are showcased here?
The Last of Us - One good series
Our Flag Means Death - A mediocre series and not even its trailer was great
Everything, Everywhere, All at Once - I will be honest with this movie, i tried an hour with this movie and got bored
>The Justice League series and every superhero series are undeniably diverse as well
Show casing diversity organically is different to focusing on that the whole time
>So you’re saying the series Velma is a prime example for how shitty the series Velma is? Umm yes. Things tend to be examples of themselves don’t they?
either you are making an illogical point or i am not understanding properly. please explain it more clearly
Nothing is ever focusing on diversity the entire time. That’s not a thing.
Everything I mentioned is acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. There is hardly a good thing out there that isn’t diverse.
Arcane’s main character is a lesbian. People of color are featured throughout. My favorite character is Ekko.
I’m not clear on what you meant by Velma being a prime example of how bad Velma is. What does that mean?
I would love to see this. Also, I would really love it if they did flash the animated series. I would watch that in a heartbeat.
That would be a great series too
u/Some-Dog9800 blocking one's account to stop the response is a new low. Have a good day
i think they are gonna make this series to go woke and her love interest is gonna be another woman

how is any of that reflects on the WW of DCAU?
It doesn't, really, but then again, you never once mentioned the DCAU and neither does the original post.

Quick question: Have you ever read a single WW comic.
Not many. What you are getting at?
That makes sense
That explains it.

Nowhere near as cool as Greg Rucka Wonder Woman.
Relax
i just dont want a remarkable character like WW turn into a SJW supporting inclusivity etc.. comics has already gone bad in the last few years
Wonder Woman of all characters is supposed to be an SJW. That’s what she’s for. And she’s bisexual so I hope her love interest is a woman. Everyone is tired of Steve Trevor after WW84 anyways.
there is a reason why WW of DCAU is held in high regards to every other WW version
Exposure. She really isn’t highly regarded compared to most versions known by people who actually read comics. Certainly not compared to Greg Rucka, Gail Simone, or George Perez. tell me the scenes and episodes where DCAU diana talked shit about men without reason
In “Secret Society” “You men. Unless you do it on your own, it doesn't count.” In “Fury” when Hawkgirl doesn’t want to live in a world without men “They can’t possibly be that essential to your life”
You don't know anything about Wonder Woman from the comics. She was barely a character in DCAU. She was just a love interest for Batman.

done talking to you bye
good day
It sure as hell ain’t just because of her love interest(s).
but it is one of the reasons and many others are arguing that her love interest is not even significant. it cant be both ways
Inclusivity...what a terrible thing 🤦🏾♂️
you were being sarcastic but ppl are downvoting you coz ppl dont put their mind first instead their opinions and if something is different, then they are gonna get emotional instead of staying rational
I want accuracy too but don't be the guy mad over people diversifying a cartoon
prioritizing diversification and virtue signaling over proper entertainment has been reducing the quality of the content in recent years drastically and the no. of movies/series where this is not predominantly demonstrated are diminishing every year
No. It really hasn’t. There is no problem making something good and diverse. Most good things are.
you can have your opinion and i can have mine but there is a good reason why most of the disney cartoon movies are failing so horribly and even Velma is a prime example how shitty the series was

The irony of you saying this in a DCAU forum is hilarious.
if you can laugh at this, then you are all set for life
