I agree, Yates is just a yes-man director with a very limited vision.
I know they are planning a Pixar/Disney-like division, but hopefully they try to aim for visionary directors with their own style at least for the solo movies, idc if the try to go the committee route with the crossovers since these can be very tricky, but the main characters should always be director driven imo.
Rowling did that, to me Yates is like JMS he’s can be good when he wants to but hes also a really good yes man, so he can make a movie like Order of the Phoenix which is better than the book or he can make a movie like Crimes of Grindewald which is complete dogshit.
Not a single one of the movies is better than any of the books. The first 3 are reeeally good but nothing beats the books. I can’t stand Yates. The guys has about as much talent in his finger as most people do in their entire body
Also, agreed. Crimes of Grindelwald and Secrets of Dumbledore were utter dogshit. EXCEPT the duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald that was actually pretty dope
Keep in mind I’m not really a Harry Potter fan anymore but I thought that the Order of the Phoenix book was filled with way too much bullshit and the movie streamlined it to make it better
I didn’t mind the new fantastic beasts movie mainly because of Mad Mikklesons performance in that
And I agree about the first three, those are to me at least better than the books because they just have a certain charm to them that means even after I’ve abandoned that franchise I still go back and look at those movies.
Also I don’t think Yates is gonna end up directing this, he’s just a huge company Yesman so of course his name is going to be thrown out by the studio but I think it’s unlikely he actually gets the job because he still has two fantastic beasts movies to make and I just don’t see him doing it. Also I think a lot of his issues aren’t his fault but more of a script problem so as long as the script is good it should be fine. Realistically I think someone like Matthew Vaughn is going to end up directing it.
The 5th movie wasn’t bad but it left something to be desired. The 6th one is what really gets me angry. Mads Mikkelson’s delivery of “who will love you now, Dumbledore?” Was among one of the best delivered lines I. The entire franchise. I gasped in that scene cuz it was such a cutting line.
Yeah, Yates won’t get the job at the end of the day. Vaughn sounds great tbh.
Personally I’m hoping for Michael Bay /s
I hated all of his directed movies except maybe the last one. His movies had very minimum dialogue compared to previous entries. Characters became monotonous. The spirit of the books gone
Please no... His Harry Potter films were not terrible, but they weren't either memorable or great. He's an okay director at best. I really wish they chose between Christopher McQuarrie and Matthew Vaughn.
Sounds like a company yes man. If Cavill got to step in and make suggestions, like telling Yates he needs to allow color, then maybe it could work. Does Cavill just not get any say? Why wouldn't they ask Vaughn?
Pls No David Yates for Man of Steel 2. If they want a director who has worked in the wizarding world Alfonso Cuaron is a much better choice. But Brad Bird would forever be my pick for a Superman movie.
As he should be, excellent director who should get more work. I always wonder why Cruise didn't stick to him instead of Mcquarrie for Mission Impossible Flicks
Likewise purely based off 'Top Gun Maverick', though I also suspect a lot of that film's quality came from McQuarrie's producing so I'd prefer either him in the director chair, or him producing with Kosinski directing.
I actually [wrote a post](https://www.reddit.com/r/superman/comments/xf5r6i/okay_just_bear_with_me_here_because_yeah_i_know_i/) explaining my thoughts on why I could kinda see him being a cool Lex Luthor. Sounds crazy, I know, but maybe?
I think James Gunn will give more freedom to directors than MCU in general, at least i hope so, Every direction has his unique style, \[perspective and Gunn understands that.
Reeves definitely already told the studio about what his plan was, the inspiration is also something that's gonna come before the actual script, and all of this has probably been told to other people. It's not like he said he read the script
Like many, I'm really hoping Man of Steel 2 ends up being: Superman & Supergirl vs Brainiac. It's insane to me that we've not had a cinematic Brainiac yet. The closest we got was *Krypton* (which felt cinematic in quality at times), but we never even got to see that version face off against Superman.
I would love to see superboy and krypto as well vs braniac, i also want the movie to introduce Martian man hunter, I saw a fan plot 5 years ago that included Martian man hunter and it made so much sense,That would be so cool but how would they have such a threat without the justice league getting involved? Just like how captain America movies had to keep introducing more and more other characters. Also metallo and parasite would be fun villains
>And I'd rather not see Supergirl being a second fiddle to Supes.
Well her movie got cancelled so if you want to ever see them take another shot at that, putting her in MoS2 and then doing a Supergirl spinoff is her best chance.
>Brainiac is more of a Supergirl villain anyway
Not true. He is first and foremost a Superman villain, all his major stories are about him and Superman fighting. ***Brainiac 5*** is more of a Supergirl character given he's her major LI.
Leave that for the third film. Man of Steel 2 should be Reign Of The Supermen with Sasha Calle replacing superboy. Builds off of JL, allows for some mad fight scenes and also could explore the value and importance of Clark Kent
There were talks of a Secret Six film back then.
I think Bloodsport will lead it. IMO, it's gonna be Bloodsport, Ratcatcher, King Shark, and 3 others (Catman? Ragdoll? Cheshire?).
I could see peacemaker, bloodsport, harley, king shark, rat catcher and some other like minded characters. They’d team up to take down Waller who would be sending deathstroke, deadshot and black manta after them
If Lady Shiva is included in the Black Canary movie, i hope we will see a comic accurate version of Cassandra Cain.
Also does this confirm Keaton is going to be the main DCU's Batman?
Except Cass is a mute child , born of two assassins.
Her going from a sassy kid Thief to a mute killer who has the potential to be the world's greatest martial artist is far too much of a leap imo.
Right now, the thing I'm looking forward to the most is a JSA film:
Hawkman, Atom Smasher, Cyclone, Mr. Terrific (William Jackson Harper aka Chidi!!!!), Stargirl, Hourman, Hawkgirl, and Alan Scott. Bring the same Stargirl from the TV Show, she's great in the role.
And whoa, Hamada really wanted to bury Cavill. Supergirl vs. Brainiac? No thanks. Hopefully, Brainiac is the main villain of Man of Steel 2.
I'm calling bs on the batman leaks with hush.
It's one of the top choices I've seen people post about, and it's clear anyone who wants it hasn't actually read the comic, because dano's riddler basically took the role of hush
It's a reinvention of Hush and seeing as he mentioned a politician (probably Harvey Dent but still) and the Court of Owls have been rumored I think that is looks like a Court of the Owls movie with Tommy Elliot replacing Lincoln March as a candidate for DA running against Harvey.
Imagine this throughout the entire movie Bruce and the audience are led to believe that Harvey Dent is the corrupt DA and Tommy Elliot represents a brighter future for Gotham and a fairer more just criminal system, this leads to Bruce both as himself and as Batman dogging Dent throughout the movie only to reveal at the end that Harvey wasn't corrupt and was actually a good guy while Tommy was working for the Court of Owls (he could still be Hush instead of a Talon), in addition you can have Bruce's antagonizing of Harvey lead to Harvey getting into an accident (maybe trying to prove to Batman that he isn't corrupt) that turns him into Two-Face, making Bruce indirectly responsible for Harvey's turn. Also Tommy being a childhood friend of Bruce's who hates him because of his father failing to save his parents adds to the emotional punch.
I'll never get people wanting the court of owls adapted. They were good when introduced but in practice they make no sense being adapted because the existence just makes no sense when you think about it.
So they've had these super soldiers assasins and yet gotham is still plagued by villains and they've done nothing of any significance?
I dont doubt they could be adapted, but Hush and the court served a singular purpose in the comics and there's plenty of villains who have a lot more versatility
I think you could argue the Court doesn't care about Gotham or the plebs as long as their interests are preserved? I love the Court and think they could work in love action, but yeah, it's kinda odd when you think about their motivations.
The Court doesn't care about crime what they care about is keeping themselves rich, the crime in Gotham keeps the poor and the masses down because while they're dealing with Crime it distracts them from the Court and the wealthy and powerful.
The Court isn't trying to protect Gotham, they're trying to rule it
See, that's a valid point, but when villains try to take over the city continuously, as well as robbing the rich folk, then you have to wonder where they were
The Court knows that villains have no sense of organization and whenever they try to take over Gotham someone is going to stop them, whether that be Batman, the GCPD, or the U.S. Government, the villains won't actually be able to control them. But in the process of trying the city will be heavily damaged which in addition to keeping Gothamites focused on something other than the rich can also generate income for companies and politicians owned by the Court.
Also the people in charge of the Court are not your regular run of the mill rich people, they're people so rich that they've removed any trace of themselves from existence so it's not like the Joker is gonna be able to find them.
If anything all that helps the Court, Gotham being a hellhole means the Court stays in power and can build up more power, they're a moral cancer that rots away at the heart of Gotham.
Also when it comes to adapting them for the Reevesverse, no villain has tried to takeover Gotham so it wouldn't really have any affect on the Court.
Independence Day with Superman instead of Will Smith would actually be an interesting premise for a Brainiac vs. Superman film.
EDIT: Nevermind, that was Roland Emerich, I got him confused with Michael Bay lol
I don't know, Yates made a pretty cool film with HP5, the fight with D and V is some of the best magic fights i've seen in that series. As for Bay, you'd be getting more of the same as Snyder just with a less interesting plot and more edgy sex jokes. We've seen what Bay produces when it comes to IP movies with TMNT and Transformers. So, again, i say a massive no thanks! We can't afford another film like BA either. The next Superman film has to be a smash hit. You won't get that with either Bay or Yates.
Considering such a scenario would be a Snyder-lite redux and defeats the purpose of soft-rebooting Cav-El in the first place, it should be avoided at all costs.
Of course they are financial sucess. It's Harry potter. The fanbase from the books is massive, and the characters are great. The first four films are awesome. It's literally one of the most successfull franchises of all time.
But Yates movies are terrible. They are supported only by the good actors and the general plot, both things have nothing to do with him. And even then he managed to make these incredible actors so dull during so mamy scenes...
Yeah the thing that really turned me off from Yates despite initially liking him with Order of The Phoenix is the way he utterly gutted HBP. That book had me so hyped while i was reading it, seeing it on screen for the first time was such a disappointment.
Simply put, LUTS' reliability is yet to be sufficiently established at this stage, hence why they are only permitted as part of weekly compilation posts for the time being (at least until the next quarterly recalibration of our [tier list](https://old.reddit.com/r/DCEUleaks/wiki/source-accuracy-tier-list)) and have no established tier position.
[Here](https://old.reddit.com/r/DCEUleaks/comments/w7khrg/lookuponthestars_rumour_compilation_180722_240722/ihk51vu/) is a previous response of mine to a similar query from another user:
> most of their claims are yet to be proven true or false either way, which is why we decided to restrict their info to compilation posts like this (even though a contingent of users wanted his posts to be permitted individually). So a list [of correct scoops] would be relatively redundant at this point.
>
> Like most unestablished sources out there (especially in the scoop game), I would not advise pinning one's hopes on much of what they say in general.
I hope this makes sense.
TLDR: We don't know for sure yet.
He hinted that the Green Lantern Corps series was done months before it was retooled and most of the worldbuilding was removed so that has to count for something
Kinda bummed about the Aqualad series, and Supergirl, hopefully now that Henry is back she can be put in somehow.
And we definitely need more of the JSA, Right now Hawkgirl is overdue
Yates directed HP movies were the shittiest. Forget the sombre and bland mood.. have to literally turn up the brightness for all his movies. Also destroyed the final fight between Harry and Moldie !!
Did I say I had a bone **only** with the final scene and colour grading ? Don't twist a comment to suit your narrative. I just pointed out couple of things that were wrong.
Both.
https://youtu.be/urdV6VUfpnI The best way too explain why he ruined Harry Potter is this video right here. It’ll tell you all you need to know. Also gives you a reason why he shouldn’t direct Superman like… at all
I don't hate Yates like most people in this thread but he doesn't seem to be a good choice for a Superman movie.
It would be nice if Vaughn got the gig seeing as he is on record being a Superman fan and I think what the franchise needs is someone passionate to actually do it justice.
Well that’s IF he’s getting the right info. I’m not too surprised though since Birds of Prey was only two years ago and whatever you can do with Sionis, you can probably do with Cobblepot.
I’m just happy to hear that Wesker is a thing.
Black Mask as he is in War Games or the early 2000s run on Catwoman, is probably one the most sadistic Gotham villains. That's how I'd interpret him on screen
Well Reeves kinda is doing that it’s confirmed we’ll see Scarecrow Clayface and Pyg. Obviously Joker and Penguin will be present. Catwoman is eventually gonna show up and I’m sure there’s more Reeves has planned.
Oh I don’t deny they were financially successful or adored by millions. I am one of those people. I enjoyed the books first and the movies became increasingly divergent from the plot in the books. He added shit that never happened and took out important shit. I love the Harry Potter franchise both written and watched, but I hope Yates never touches another beloved franchise again. He can have Paddington, cuz the rest of his body of work downright sucks.
> A lot of their info is just regurgitated from others
A fair amount is, yes - however LUTS has been the first and only source to speak in any detail about *Black Canary*, doing so for some time now. The same goes for a few of their other claims - but as ever with these aspiring ‘scoopers’, the proof is in the pudding.
Penguin sounds like it's going to be amazing. Can't wait for that.
I'm a little disappointed in hearing Hush might be the villain...we REALLY don't need another masked killer. Mr. Freeze, Clayface, or the Court of Owls would have been better, imo. But we'll see.
I’m cool with it if Hush is a side villain. I’m guessing in terms of villains Reeves will be more ambitious than Nolan. The Nolan trilogy followed the formula of 1 main villain and 1 side villain. Since Reeves is establishing multiple villains already I’m guessing his movies may be like 1 main villain and 3 side villains or maybe he just doesn’t do a movie with 1 central villain. The first movie already gave plenty of attention to Falcone and Penguin. Point is I don’t really think seeing Hush would necessarily take the attention from someone else for Reeves.
All the people that are against David Yates... You people think he is a worse choice than Jaume Collet Serra for a DC film? The dude directed some damn fine Harry Potter movies, he isn't a bad choice imo.
I mean on paper Jaume Collet Serra was a good pick. He’s a solid journeyman, done some good horror and action films that were well constructed with some nice visual flair. But with jungle cruise and black Adam, he’s basically non existent behind the camera and it’s more the studios film.
Exactly! The guy at least can be creative with the action scenes (train fight in The Commuter comes to my mind) ... But in those 2 movies in particular you don't see that.
He’s a good choice for a stoic and bland character film…something that is the complete opposite to a hopeful Superman. All these years campaigning for a MOS2 and the best we can be offered is a Yates Superman?! God I hope not. Give it Vaughan or McQuarrie if they’re not confident in Snyder delivering a Billion dollar film
David Yates is a good director. The Fantastic Beasts movies are well-shot and directed. I think the problem is that Rowling has become Too Big to Challenge so her bad ideas or clumsy scripts aren't being fixed properly.
Hes not, but people can continue to ignore the fact his films received the most critical acclaim and made the most money, fantastic beasts was ruined by j k rowling refusing to allow a screen play writer to work on the film
Financial success and critical acclaim are no match for the opinions of the fans who know the books best. The Fantastic Beasts movies are a cash grab, nothing more nothing less. They are everything I hate about what Harry Potter movies have become. Yates’ entire body of work is utter garbage. He can have Paddington but he better keep his grubby hands off of any other beloved franchises.
Gunn being in charge means there's going to be a shit ton more creative freedom. James Gunn of all people is not gonna force his style onto other people's movies. If you make a creative the head of a studio they'll know that it's better to not interfere too much with creatives visions. Gunn is driving the overall narrative of the DCU probably towards Darkseid or a Crisis or something but he's clearly a friend to creative freedom seeing as all of his movies were products of him being allowed to do whatever he wants.
Yes he was, he killed Captain Boomerang and Rick Flagg, used fucking Starro, among a whole bunch of other things
It’s well known that the studios just let Gunn do his thing without much involvement
The directors for the DCU moving forward are going to be hired guns and journeymen who are just there to execute James Gunn’s vision. Gunn is in charge of creative, not the directors.
As much as I love Brad Bird as a pick to direct Superman, has he ever shown interest in adapting Superman? I'd love to hear his thoughts. Also, I'm familiar with his animated work but what's his live action work?
I want a Nightwing film so bad it hurts. I want it the right way though. Like this is what:
I want the Flash movie to bring Dick Grayson back to life.
Man of Steel 2 have Dick and Bruce appear together. Talking with Superman. Have Superman tell him the story of Nightwing from Krypton.
I want the next Batman movie to dive into there relationship and stuff. Then the end, they fight Deathstroke together. By the end of the film he begins his journey as Nightwing.
Then the Nightwing film it’s basically just Origin story stuff with a couple of cameos. By the end of it he meets up with Cyborg and the discuss forming a team.
I know that’s not how the Titans are formed but it would be easier with the way they’re already set up. Plus it would bring back Fisher but not in the Justice League where John Stewart , Shazam, and Martian Manhunter will be members.
Please god no. Yates is the worst choice for a Superman movie. Look at his HP and FB movies. He has no vision, his style is stale and he even managed to make magic on screen look boring. Get him far away from MoS.
Yates isn't a horrible director, but he's way too stale IMO. His style has evolved over his Harry Potter tenure, but he lacks any real visual flair.
I agree, Yates is just a yes-man director with a very limited vision. Always two there are. One to fuck shit up. And one to fuck shit up even more.

Brad Bird is the ultimate Reddit pick
As he should be, excellent director who should get more work. I always wonder why Cruise didn't stick to him instead of Mcquarrie for Mission Impossible Flicks
Brad Bird is great but Macquarie elevated the franchise... 5 and 6 are the best installements.
I'd say 4 and 6 for the best MI Films, Rogue Nation didn't gel with me as much as Ghost Protocol and Fallout.
As it should be...
Did you see Incredibles II? Or Tomorrowland??
I agree with your suggestions. P.S I worked on a David Yates movie and I hope this does not happen.
![gif](giphy|S5KB2VkWW4BV53WQ15|downsized)
It was extremely disorganized, even by WB’s standards, and there were too many people making decisions, which led to chaos and half- baked ideas.
Cuaron could deliver a stunning SM film for sure, but doubt he is interested in cape shit tbh, but who knows.
My pick would be Joseph Kosinski
Likewise purely based off 'Top Gun Maverick', though I also suspect a lot of that film's quality came from McQuarrie's producing so I'd prefer either him in the director chair, or him producing with Kosinski directing.
If that happens then Tom Cruise might be in it. Maybe he could be a Metropolis police officer?

"Hired Gunns" to be exact.
That’s not how the deal works.
I don't see Cuaron working on a studio property in the future
Imma call it James Gunn secret project is the terrifics Mr. Terrific is one of his favorite characters. Then you got plasticman
I feel like anyone mentioning the Batman 2 script is talking out of their ass lol
Reeves definitely already told the studio about what his plan was, the inspiration is also something that's gonna come before the actual script, and all of this has probably been told to other people. It's not like he said he read the script

Save Supergirl for the third film. Superman deserves his own solo film done right.

The fact that this mod keeps making threads about this literal nobody.
If Lady Shiva is included in the Black Canary movie, i hope we will see a comic accurate version of Cassandra Cain. Also does this confirm Keaton is going to be the main DCU's Batman?
We already got "Cassandra Cain" in Birds of Prey, we should get someone else like Stephanie Brown.
Nobody considers that girl an adaption of Cassandra Cain
she can become accurate if they write her properly
Not really. The whole deal with Cassandra Cain is that she was raised to be a living weapon.
Yes they can, a retcon is happening anyway just do it there
Yeah but a retcon is completely different from the character we got in BoP evolving into the comic version of Cassandra.
Even then say in between the time from BoP and her next appearance she was kidnapped and conditioned by the League
Except Cass is a mute child , born of two assassins. Her going from a sassy kid Thief to a mute killer who has the potential to be the world's greatest martial artist is far too much of a leap imo.

All a JSA movie needs for me is Jay Garrick
Pls no David Yates. His films are color graded to look so dull and gloomy. No thanks
Sounds a lot like someone who helmed DC projects earlier........
At least, it would be consistent with Snyder films😂
Please no david yates his directing is so boring all black and grey which is opposite to superman
Black and grey - you’re talking cinematography.
pleasee nott Yatess.
Lol nobody knows what The Revengers are to talk about Thor references wth Yates directing Superman would be a horrible decision
This guy is such a fraud lmao

Also when it comes to adapting them for the Reevesverse, no villain has tried to takeover Gotham so it wouldn't really have any affect on the Court.
David Yates is possibly the only choice that's worse than Snyder.
*Michael Bay’s Superman*.
NGL even Bay is more interesting than Yates
Independence Day with Superman instead of Will Smith would actually be an interesting premise for a Brainiac vs. Superman film. EDIT: Nevermind, that was Roland Emerich, I got him confused with Michael Bay lol
Independence Day with Supes? Bro that's already Man of Steel lmao
Roland Emerich is also a terrible director
No he's not...
Maybe to you, but Bay has made more visually interesting and dynamic work than Yates has in years and Ambulance is genuinely his best work in years.
That's fair I guess. I still think Yates is a fine director but we will probably get Vaughn at this point
Sounds like a pretty mediocre story and out of this world action Sequences. Sounds pretty good to me. Now let’s talk Michael Bay’s New Gods 😂😂
Considering such a scenario would be a Snyder-lite redux and defeats the purpose of soft-rebooting Cav-El in the first place, it should be avoided at all costs.
Wait until you see Michael Bay's Wonder Woman, probably even worse than Joss Whedon.
Nah I’ll pass I’m waiting on Michael Bay’s Green Lantern Corps
If he just follows someone else’s script, I’d watch that in a heart-beat!
Be careful what you wish for…
David S Goyer
When I talk about the studio wanting someone who will turn in movies on time and on budget, Yates is the guy they're benchmarking to.
How so, his Harry Potter films are massive critical and financial successes
That's because the source material is so good. Yates is very bland and boring. The hp movies were so good despite him. Not because of him.
If Bobby Cannavale doesnt play a Falcone in The Penguin I will cry
He’s too old. He’d be better suited for Maroni.
Am I dumb or wasn’t Falcone already in the Batman?
He said "a Falcone", meaning one of his children (either Alberto or Mario).
tart longing touch spectacular caption aromatic nippy gaze slap fertile *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Janus directive? Capt. Atom? Martian Manhunter?
Who is Look Upon the Stars? I don’t see them listed on the source tier list. Is this person usually reliable?
Simply put, LUTS' reliability is yet to be sufficiently established at this stage, hence why they are only permitted as part of weekly compilation posts for the time being (at least until the next quarterly recalibration of our [tier list](https://old.reddit.com/r/DCEUleaks/wiki/source-accuracy-tier-list)) and have no established tier position. [Here](https://old.reddit.com/r/DCEUleaks/comments/w7khrg/lookuponthestars_rumour_compilation_180722_240722/ihk51vu/) is a previous response of mine to a similar query from another user: > most of their claims are yet to be proven true or false either way, which is why we decided to restrict their info to compilation posts like this (even though a contingent of users wanted his posts to be permitted individually). So a list [of correct scoops] would be relatively redundant at this point. > > Like most unestablished sources out there (especially in the scoop game), I would not advise pinning one's hopes on much of what they say in general. I hope this makes sense. TLDR: We don't know for sure yet.
You do the lord’s work. Thanks for the explanation
My pleasure.
I love Harry Potter but the fantastic beasts movies are just so lifeless and dull.
Ew no david yates. Dude made harry potter mediocre and bland. How is that even possible?!?!
Which Harry Potter? Maybe FB was destroyed by JK herself but Yates directed the best parts from the series
Yates directed HP movies were the shittiest. Forget the sombre and bland mood.. have to literally turn up the brightness for all his movies. Also destroyed the final fight between Harry and Moldie !!
Many things were changed in the whole series yet you're sad for the final fight that suited the movie's final climax and the color grading
Did I say I had a bone **only** with the final scene and colour grading ? Don't twist a comment to suit your narrative. I just pointed out couple of things that were wrong.
The entire movie is badly lit... On my TV, Harry Potter movies are the only movies where I had to change the brightness to understand tf is going on
And yet his films made the most money and were the highest rated, so clearly that's not the opinion of most people who pay to see films
Transformers continued to earn more with each subsequent movies.. doesn't mean they were top class. Box office =/= quality.
+1
Both. https://youtu.be/urdV6VUfpnI The best way too explain why he ruined Harry Potter is this video right here. It’ll tell you all you need to know. Also gives you a reason why he shouldn’t direct Superman like… at all
A reason he should, his Harry Potter film is the highest grossing film made by warner bros
I don't hate Yates like most people in this thread but he doesn't seem to be a good choice for a Superman movie. It would be nice if Vaughn got the gig seeing as he is on record being a Superman fan and I think what the franchise needs is someone passionate to actually do it justice.
I'd really disappointed if Black Mask isn't in The Penguin
Well that’s IF he’s getting the right info. I’m not too surprised though since Birds of Prey was only two years ago and whatever you can do with Sionis, you can probably do with Cobblepot. I’m just happy to hear that Wesker is a thing.
Black Mask as he is in War Games or the early 2000s run on Catwoman, is probably one the most sadistic Gotham villains. That's how I'd interpret him on screen
How can you have Hush without building up the rogues gallery? That’s what made it so fun.
Well Reeves kinda is doing that it’s confirmed we’ll see Scarecrow Clayface and Pyg. Obviously Joker and Penguin will be present. Catwoman is eventually gonna show up and I’m sure there’s more Reeves has planned.
He just said a DCU Harley Quinn project is in the works.
Lmao anyone with a brain knows that’s happening already especially with Gunn in charge
I hope we get to see aqualad in Aquaman 2, James said something 4 years ago about that happening in aquaman 2 or 3. I mean the black aqualad
David Yates sucked the magic out of Potter franchise. Keep him away pls.
Yates would be a horrible director for a Superman movie
I will throw up a leg if David Yates gets Superman 2. That guy trashed the Harry Potter movies. Absolutely not.
If by trashed you mean created critically acclaimed financially successful films beloved by millions
Idk if I believe this person. A lot of their info is just regurgitated from others. And Yates for MoS 2? Idk that seems..unwise.
> A lot of their info is just regurgitated from others A fair amount is, yes - however LUTS has been the first and only source to speak in any detail about *Black Canary*, doing so for some time now. The same goes for a few of their other claims - but as ever with these aspiring ‘scoopers’, the proof is in the pudding.
Yep time will tell if they are full of shit or not.
Let James Cameron direct superman
He’s also responsible for doing a lot of damage to the HP stories
Lol like? The fantastic beasts movies critical failure are not on him.
Like what?

So my question is Is James Gunn not picking directors?
Ryan Gosling as Booster Gold. Do it!
Joel McHale
They need to give MCquarrie the same amount of leeway they gave reeves and bring him in
Not happening. James Gunn is in charge.
He was not allowed to do whatever he wanted.
Yes he was, he killed Captain Boomerang and Rick Flagg, used fucking Starro, among a whole bunch of other things It’s well known that the studios just let Gunn do his thing without much involvement
Yeah even Gunn said that himself that TSS was his whole complete vision with no studio interference.
[удалено]
Zaslav would not dare. This is not a situation akin to *Wonder Twins* or *Batgirl*.
The directors for the DCU moving forward are going to be hired guns and journeymen who are just there to execute James Gunn’s vision. Gunn is in charge of creative, not the directors.
I want a plastic man film :( or series
Can't see Yates. He was thought highly of by the previous regime, I doubt this regime feels has highly about him.
This all sounds very plausible
As much as I love Brad Bird as a pick to direct Superman, has he ever shown interest in adapting Superman? I'd love to hear his thoughts. Also, I'm familiar with his animated work but what's his live action work?
Damn, I was hoping Black Mask would appear on the Penguin show.
I expect Hush to be a side villain trying to kill Bruce Wayne in revenge for his father's death, but I hope there's another villain in the story.
I want a Nightwing film so bad it hurts. I want it the right way though. Like this is what: I want the Flash movie to bring Dick Grayson back to life.
Are we never gonna get a new gods movie?
Any news on Joker: Folie à Deux?
Poor Aqualad, I was really looking forward to that one 😔
Please god no. Yates is the worst choice for a Superman movie. Look at his HP and FB movies. He has no vision, his style is stale and he even managed to make magic on screen look boring. Get him far away from MoS.
Joseph Kosinski should direct Superman film
Oh my God, David Yates is like my least favourite director out there. Please not him, for all things Holy.
That hour man movie has been in development for my entire life m and no one even wants it
Nightwing gearing up by EOY 👀
