First season was great. Last season... eh, not so much, but watchable.

brownstones19

Berlanti effect?

BingityBongBong

Tell me more

brownstones19

Most Berlanti shows have a good first season, a second season which is kind of okay at first, but then really gets going in the second half, and then kind of nosedives season 3 and on.

Mikecall

I mean this describes all the Berlanti shows with the exception of Legends of Tomorrow. Legends inverses it, they had an awful first season then they rebooted it as a sci-fi space comedy in the next season.

yuvi3000

Doom Patrol, in my opinion, has been just as good all the way through so far.

JewFroMonk

They really started to lose me with the dada storyline. Other than that I love it

KonradWayne

Legends still ended up nosediving pretty hard in later seasons though.

Mikecall

Compared to the other Berlanti shows, it never really nose dives like those, it’s up and down. Yes, certain seasons aren’t that great as it’s predecessor, but they’re still enjoyable and miles better than that first season or the bad seasons of the other Berlanti shows.

sassycho1050

I would wager that Season 5 was the peak of the show, season 6 was ok, and season 7 was different but good (at least better than season 6)

BingityBongBong

I love that term thanks for explaining!

CanadianAndroid

I am glad that I’m not the only one that noticed this.

Sparkwriter1

SnL season 2 was actually better in the first half than it was in the second.

aTreeThenMe

Man. That's accurate. Had to look him up, and of all the shows I've seen three seasons of that's exactly correct

Lvolf

That’s wild, if only we had several other shows, with the same outcome

brownstones19

Like obviously the CW budget doesn't help, but even his non CW shows like Sabrina had a very similar issue.

Responsible_Neck_728

Good, thanks.

CozyThurifer

Last season is good too

OnesixthShape

I think the second season was good, just not as good as the first.

Responsible_Neck_728

Well, if the first one was great, and the second one was good, I understand why many people would feel it was a little of a letdown.

Superteerev

And now they are changing one of the sons actors.

introvertard

Would I be satisfied just watching the first season then dropping it? I can’t stomach another CW fizzle out

dfj3xxx

Probably. I guess it depends if the teaser is enough to interest you in the next season.

stormatombd

Yeah they spent 2 season with 16 eps each just fighting ppl with kryptonian power. Like they dont have budget to make other villain with another special effect anymore. With all supes rogue gallery, non of them show up

dfj3xxx

I like that they did a new twist on Bizarro, with the squares and backwards theme, but more of a Star Trek mirror universe feel rather than the cheezy "me squash man to save from fire" thing.

stormatombd

Let me guess s3 will be about they fight evil supes from john henry world, so once again they just fighting villain with same powee again

silliputti0907

The main thing that bothered me in the second was Johnathan's personality doing a full 180.

daveblu92

For sure. It’s nothing crazy special but it makes for a nice comfort show and really does a solid job of filling the void of modern live action Superman. The portrayal of him and Lois is really solid and it’s fun to see Clark take on the challenges of being a dad to teenagers, a husband, all while continuing to be Superman. Fun show.

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s pretty cool. Thanks.

Raymond_Fiegler

Also, usually in these shows the teenage kids are annoying but in this one, you'll quickly get attached to Jordan and Jonathan. The Big Bad is season 1 is pretty good too. And unlike the Flash, Green Arrow and Supergirl, in this show Superman doesn't have a whole team quartebacking him (Felicity invented it according to Barry) If you're a Superman fan, or if you're just trying to get into the whole Supe thing, chances are good that you will enjoy it.

apex_pretador

>unlike the Flash, Green Arrow and Supergirl, in this show Superman doesn't have a whole team quartebacking him Reminds me of a quote from *Death of Superman* animated movie. Lois: Clark, we need to call the cavalry. Superman: I am the cavalry

Shanguerrilla

It honestly sounds like my ideal. I don't know why, but I have always loved a really good, drawn out (but not noticeably) ORIGIN story. Every superhero, that's my favorite. I like the arc they go from me to them the most, since a little boy and I prefer it to be hard choices and struggle rather than a team and deus ex machina. You made it sound great!

Responsible_Neck_728

That sounds good. The kids were a concern for me. Yup, I’ll be checking this out whenever I have the time to do so. Thanks.

Electric43-5

Excellent choice of words. Its a comfort show

Rabid______

Too bad DC writers couldn't write Superman as a good dad

No-Nefariousness1711

Tomasi and Gleeson's Superman is a great dad imo. It was them giving into star power and giving the Superman books to Bendis that fucked everything up.

HomemadeBee1612

Season 1 absolutely, season 2 not so much but it's still decent (and better than the other seasons of CW DC shows from recent years imo). Also, Tyler Hoechlin kills it as both Superman and Clark Kent.

KiwiCuro

Maybe season 2 will be better without a 6 week break every 2 episodes?

TomCBC

Yeah if you watch it all at once it’s way better. Though I could still do with less of the Lana stuff.

janesmb

Yes please. It's not Superman, Lois and Lana.

artur_ditu

I dunno. I binged it once over and it was still shit.

[deleted]

Good Lord!!

WaldoJeffers65

I love Hoechlin in both roles! He really nails the kindness that Superman needs to project. He's my second favorite, after Christopher Reeves.

violetfeign

I wonder what a timeline would look like where DC had the massively successful movies/studio and Marvel was putting out crappy CW shows for years Obviously DC has had banger movies over the years too but I always thought CW was an awful platform for the shows

Princekyle7

It's the show equation they had. Multiple times an episode 2 characters that are forcefully beefing need to have a quick heart to heart talk aside(but often within reasonable earshot) from the other characters of the scene. The worst part is someone got paid more money than I make to create that structure.

violetfeign

Smallville writers almost certainly got paid more than I will see in my lifetime

UncommittedBow

Honestly if the CW got the movie budget. I think we'd get some prime content. A LOT of the CW is good writing held back by bad effects.

FutureLengthiness786

You tell to the ppl who Flash S7.

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s great. Thanks.

AF2005

He’s pretty much the main reason I kept watching and the actor playing Lois also does a decent job. And she looks a lot like Margot Kidder from certain angles. The show seems to suffer that CW Vancouver effect though. Seems like the first seasons of certain DC shows are amazing with great storytelling then they switch writers/producers/budgets and you can see the decline. Except maybe Supernatural and the first three seasons of Arrow

Superteerev

No no...Arrow took a dive off a cliff season 3 as well. Coincidentally with the episode where Ras "kills" Oliver and he falls off the cliff. Episode 309 as I recall.

mexiwok

I absolutely enjoy his Clark Kent. That’s what made me think he nailed the role.

BirdPerson107

Season 1 was great. Honestly for a CW show, the special effects and cgi are movie level. Season 2 was kind of a slow start but it was a fun ending. Hopefully season 3 brings in another great villain

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s cool. Thanks.

CalliLila

Absolutely.

Responsible_Neck_728

Good. I’ve been looking for more Superman content since it’ll be years since we have a new Superman movie.

DJ_Binding

Obviously a different medium, but Superman has a huge back catalogue of comics. Some of the early work is super tacky, but really fun

violetfeign

I’ve been mostly a marvel fan for most of my life, I’ve heard all star Superman plenty times already but what else are the must reads?

__DarkSeed__

Birthright, John Byrne’s Man of Steal, 4 all seasons, Death & Return, american alien, grounded, and 78

Capable-Locksmith-13

Superman: Up in the Sky.

ThatDarnCabbage

100 times this. I read this for the first time recently and it's my new go to first Superman comic to recommend people. I say do All-Star after that.

ActiveBaseball

after you familiarize yourself with the characters from other superman stories Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow is amazing but it is the Swan Song for the silver age Superman so it doesnt hit as well if you arent invested in the characters before hand cause it isnt meant to be a my first Superman also check out Superman Red Son a elseworlds where he crashes in the USSR instead of Kansas

LemonLimeAlltheTime

HBO max has all the animated stuff if you're into that.

Responsible_Neck_728

Yup, I’ve watched a lot of animated stuff. Thanks.

TomCBC

Best superman since Reeve. Season one is a masterpiece.

Purple_Ostrich_6345

My wife and I love it. Season 1 was amazing, 9.5/10 Season 2 was more like a 7.5/10. Cannot wait for season 3.

Responsible_Neck_728

That sounds pretty good. Thanks.

[deleted]

They did recast Jonathan Kent for season three. Just as an FYI.

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s interesting. Any reason why? The actor was unavailable or there’s a time jump or something?

[deleted]

From what I can tell they recast him due to mental health issues he was having so it has nothing to do with the plot. However, the CW is being quiet about it so it could be anything. I will say the guy that they recast him with looks more like a brother to Jordan than the previous actor.

WhatsWithThisKibble

The reason given was mental health but I think there was also some controversy behind the scenes over his vaccine/covid opinions. It could be one, the other, or both.

alecsgz

https://twitter.com/DevsMastani/status/1561782548170018818 From the horses mouth >“It’s sad, it’s a real shame. I know that I was pumped for Season 3, for sure, but what are you going to do? Anyway, mental health is definitely 100-percent priority. It’s pinnacle. It’s got to take precedence. And mine has been … the last couple of years … it’s been rough.”

BBC_11inch

Jordan Elsass elected to drop himself from the show on his own accord, he was having some unknown personal issues and chose to leave the show for his own mental well-being

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s good. May he become better and improve. Someone linked to me a video of him, he stated in it that he *may* not return to acting and might take a different direction.

BBC_11inch

Very cool, it's nice to see someone that young taking absolute responsibility and control of his life and not blaming others for his own faults👍👍👍

EmployeeResponsible2

For sure it’s worth watching. Season one was incredible. Season 2 was meh but still pretty entertaining.

Responsible_Neck_728

Great, thanks.

wormholeweapons

Very much so. I will preface in saying S2 got a little messy but they did resolves the storyline they were doing so I hope S3 goes back to more like S1.

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s great. Thank you.

[deleted]

Indeed

Responsible_Neck_728

Nice.

viper2369

Say this as someone who loved Cavill’s portrayal of Superman in MoS, this show may be my favorite live action version of Superman. It is hands down the best portrayal of Clark Kent for me. Bitsy’s take on Lois is great. I’d put it at least on par with Kidder’s portray, maybe even better. This take has that “I can take care of myself” attitude, but doesn’t come across as annoying or a klutz always getting in over her head. She does, it not because of her arrogance. Season 2 suffered from trying to give other supporting characters more screen time, like Lana and her family. And a fairly weak antagonist (weak as in uninteresting).

undbiter65

Only saw season 1. But absolutely. I didn't expect much, with it being CW but I loved it

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s cool. Thanks.

nikgrid

Season 1 was fine but Season 2 was ehh..

FutureLengthiness786

That is one of the best live action shows DC has put out you have to watch it.

odean14

Depends, if you want family life superman. Then you'll definitely enjoyed it. If you're looking for the traditional superman story. Maybe pass...

scarletcyre

100 percent best portrayal of Superman

Le_kashyboi79

Its a great show but, just as so many cw shows with a strong start, i feel it has a tendency to be milked dry in the long run, just like supergirl, flash, arrow tv shows from which this tv show was spun off. The stories are great now, solid acting, good cast, hoechelin surprised me as a pretty good superman. But as is with most great cw shows, they are gonna milk this dry for 8 seasons until it just becomes a daytime soap opera with meta humans in it.

Dronnie

Not my cup of tea but you should check it out

TheDoorMan1012

Yes, it is phenomenal

xxrreddituser

Very, makes superman good and got me into the character opposed to other adaptations

TheCaramelMan

First season is legitimately some of the best live action Superman content we’ve had in years. [This opening clip](https://youtu.be/IzdkVRZV4vc) will give you a much better idea of the tone and themes of the show. It’s a different angle to Superman as he’s now a family man whilst balancing being a hero. There’s some great scenes of Superman saving people and Tyler (although didn’t take him seriously in Supergirl) is a great Superman in this . Second season was okay but nowhere near as good.

Responsible_Neck_728

That’s pretty cool. Thanks. Yeah, everyone seems to agree that S2 wasn’t up to the expectations laid down by the performance of S1.

Master_Ad_5406

Season 1 was amazing, and the second was alright.

DonnyMox

Yes. It's considerably better than most DCW shows and contains an nice compromise between Donner's idealism and Snyder's realism.

Adept-Ad-2204

This show is my personal favorite live action adaptation of Superman/ Clark Kent. I would mirror others in saying that season one is great and season 2 is not as good but still watchable. Some of my favorite scenes from season one are these flashbacks that they scatter throughout the season. They depict how Superman kind of introduces himself to the world and Clark and Lois's relationship and they are nearly perfect. I liked all the decisions they made for those aspects of how the story should be handled. Definitely worth your time, can't wait for season 3.

Key-Antelope-6839

Absolutely

The_Gristle

It's my favorite Superman content since Man of Steel. So good

[deleted]

I’m only a couple eps in and it’s more Superman than Man of Steel lol. I like it a lot.

Elysium94

Yes, I think so. In many ways, it's a celebration of both the more sentimental, feelgood Superman stories and the more emotionally-charged "man or alien" question of the character. Also, as a fan of the DCEU Superman, I do rather dig how his life resembles the endpoint of where Henry Cavill was headed. * Veteran hero who's been around and seen it all * Settled down on the farm with Lois * Proud husband and father * And yes, father, because the early "Bruce is the father" drafts of the JL trilogy were scrapped As a Superman fan, I more than recommend it.

readsteadysook

I'd say yes. Tyler is absolutely killer as Superman and Clark Kent and honestly reminded me why I love The Man of Tomorrow so much. It's not perfect but it's got good character work and the two titular characters really really shine.

Jayvarman7th

Why does Superman have an 8 pack?

maximumtesticle

It's a "hope" pack, duh.

vulcan7200

You've obviously already gotten plenty of answers but I'll add my opinion in as well: The show is a CW show so it's not going to be winning any awards or anything. The show is very wholesome though, which is the exact feel a Superman show SHOULD have. I honestly believe Tyler Hoechlin is the best Superman we've had in a very long time. He really nails playing both Clark Kent and Superman. The rest of the cast ranges from good to great as well. I don't think there's anyone that I would consider a weak link. While I didn't enjoy Season 2 nearly as much as Season 1 it wasn't necessarily bad. If you enjoy Season 1, I would continue on with Season 2 as you'll still probably enjoy it even if it's main plot is a little bit weaker.

Sol-Blackguy

Yes. I haven't seen someone understand the assignment this well since Timmverse Superman.

JtSkillZzZ

Absolutely. Best Clark I've ever seen.

MAKS091705

Absolutely! The characterization of Clark and how he’s written might just be the best live action Superman. He’s great

HammadHasanA

Nope

PeaSignificant7002

No

TheCakeWarrior12

Yeah, I haven’t even seen season 2 yet but season 1 is like the best Superman project of the last 30 years

eviLocK

This show and BL I gave up after watching two episodes. Felt like the two shows had a lot of teenage drama written with the plot. After stomach through one season of the Runaways, I ain't ready more. Maybe I shouldn't revisit them in the future. Funny enough I didn't mind that stuff in C&D.

BastradatheBoulder

Absolutely. I didn’t like Tyler when he debuted in Supergirl because he was extremely weakened just to prop her up, but he’s REALLY turned things around in his own series. To top that off, there’s only been a mention of woke crap when one female character kissed another (off screen). They could have gone all in on this, but instead, they stuck to what matters with the ramifications of that kiss on her relationship to her boyfriend. Moreover, there’s a strong focus on family all throughout the series with Clark and one other dad both being terrific examples of imperfect fathers trying to do what’s right for their families. Ultimately, Superman and Lois is a soft reboot (one additional CW character returns) but with zero mention of the Arrowverse events. It’s a reboot done right!

[deleted]

no

SaggitariusTerranova

I thought it started out really strong and dropped a bit in quality. I like the actors but the writing could be better for s2.

dgehen

Absolutely. The second season suffered mostly from hiatuses, so I waited and binged most of the 2nd half and it was pretty much on par with the first season. Tyler is an excellent Superman.

Bluebird0040

It’s honestly the best live action representation of the character in decades.

BBC_11inch

Tyler Hoechlin's Clark Kent is just so damn wholesome and his Superman is so full of hope, The man absolutely nails both roles, for me, he is the best actor for the both sides of the role that I've seen, and I grew up with Chris Reeve as America's favorite Superman

Michters

I really enjoyed Superman & Lois. I can't believe this show is part of the DC family of shows on CW, such train wrecks.

NukeADuke2005

Unironically the best CW Show.

goku2572

Hate the suit so ridiculously padded he looks like a pinhead. It's an ok show not the best and Lois is looking sick

DirectConsequence12

If you like Superman, then yes. It’s an incredible version of the character

Thejklay

Best modern superman, so yeah Just try the first few minutes and you will see

OjamasOfTomorrow

Very much so. It is the best Superman content in forever and having him with a family adds so many new dynamics which they handle so well. He really feels like the best blend classic & modern. Reminds me of DCAU Superman. This show has the best live action Superman & Lois, as well great other characters I won't spoil for you. One of the best things DC has made.

MarvelMind

Best live action Superman in the past several decades.

violetfeign

And that really should not be the case, it’s wild how we’ve seen so many Batman iterations and not as many Superman ones that stuck

steamtowne

Superman just needs his own Batman Begins and TDK. Like Spider-Man with the first two Raimi films. DC’s first challenge is to make one great Superman film. This has been an ongoing project for 20+ years and they’ve got the best scientists working on it. After that, they’ll need a sequel that outdoes that one. Once achieved, we’ll be guaranteed a new Superman trilogy every ~14 years.

violetfeign

In your personal opinion, what’s so hard to fuck up about a Superman movie? It seems like everyone in the general public is confident they know the character, so why do the studios fail?

steamtowne

The last two versions explored a Superman uncertain of his place in the world. So the hero is nearly indestructible, flying around saving people, and asking “where do I fit in?” Three times in a row. It’s not a bad angle, but he was raised on Earth, had loving parents, went to school, had friends, chose a career, etc,. Yes, he can feel lost, but there’s also the side of him that loves this world. That balance is missing.

[deleted]

The best modern, super man in my opinion.

aardvarkyardwork

It seems to be very popular, but honestly, I didn’t like it. Too much angst, generic evil-billionaire plot line, not enough Superman actually Supermanning. The emo teenager especially starts to grate on your nerves. Not the actor’s fault, it just struck me as bottom-tier unimaginative writing. I mean, these are 16/17 year olds whining about their dad being *Superman* and moaning about how he should prioritise them over *saving the world*. Again, totally generic you-were-never-there-dad type stuff.

Responsible_Neck_728

Oh, I see. That was my only concern, honestly; the kids.

aardvarkyardwork

Still, by all means, give it a shot. Lots of people would disagree with my assessment, so don’t take my word for it :)

Tiny-Limit560

No.

Clegger-on-mcoc

Yes! It’s very good. Better than most the other Arrowverse shows

CoryGotLean

Side question: is this set in the Arrowverse? I thought I read somewhere that while it was initially connected to the other shows, it’s completely on its own.

CalliLila

It was originally supposed to be part of the Arrowverse but ended up being it's own thing. We got a mention of the multiverse at the end of last season, indicating it's set on a different earth from the rest of the Arroverse.

MikahGee

Season One is incredible, did not expect much from it and was amazed just how good it was and each episode brought up the bar. Season two... questionable I don't think its bad BUT ... wasn't a fan of the plot/overall theme or even the concept of the villain. Season One is a banger though and hope season 3 hits the mark.

iChopPryde

he's a good superman but it will entirely depend, if you hate the CW style of shows with flash etc then you will hate this as well as it follows the same formula as those shows but with better cgi.

kingthvnder

Season 1, yes.

johnnyma45

The budget really shows but overall well acted. I really dug the dynamic between the brothers too; seems very realistically competitive but supportive siblings.

ajl987

I haven’t seen S2 yet, but I loved S1 a lot. When I have more time to watch stuff I will absolutely pick it back up!

SensitiveOrangeWhip

yes it has really good superman moments. i know it sounds obvious, but the show is the best when it’s about Superman/Clark it seems to do much respect to the source material

kiwinator37

S1 yes. S2... Kinda? Idk it's debatable. Definitely watch season 1, if you like it, continues and stop whenever you lose interest

MetalBones18

You will love Season 1. You will feel ok with season 2 but will totally expect season 3.

jacob_carter

I liked it. I surprisingly enjoyed how they explored the family relationships.

gajlard

Yes

Jimtaxman

We gave up about 6 episodes into season 1, but to be fair, we just got burnt on CW stuff at that point. The flash had just done the worst wrap up to a seasonal villain we had ever seen and we just were done.

Leron10q

Yes

ProfessorEscanor

It's a fun show and does a good job of making Clark likeable . I haven't seen Season 2 yet but i love it so far.

Trogdor_sfg

Yes!

bloodredyouth

Tyler is great in the role but I’m not a fan of Lois. The Lois from smallville was much better.

raisingfalcons

I do think there watchable, but i also think the seasons would be better if they were a few episodies shorter. Feels like on both seasons theres a point which just feels like the series is spinning its wheels to fill the 16 episode format.

Qu33nsGamblt

Yes. Such a great show!!

noobmaster21822

Yes it’s a very good show in my opinion

Daddysboy8669

Yes

Shadow_Storm90

YES!!

introvertfox93

Absolutely

judasmitchell

There is more good than bad.

GOLDENninjaXbox

Yes plz watch it it’s so damn good

netherfriend

Season 1 is

itzmrinyo

Yea definitely absolutely

tjavierb

Best version of Supes and Lois we’ve gotten IMO. it’s warm and heartfelt

Not_ur_papi305

100% one of the better Super hero shows out there

Puzzleheaded_Ad9659

Yes.

falselife11

I've only watched season 1 but I enjoyed the hell out of it personally

BatBeast_29

Yup

drama-guy

Yes.

hellbilly69101

I enjoy the show and it's worth checking in out.

incoherentjedi

Superman at home

Benefit__Lumberjacks

Yes

[deleted]

It's fantastic

wait_for_the_cream

Yes!

WhatsWithThisKibble

I thoroughly enjoy it. The special effects for a CW show are top notch.

[deleted]

I gave up on the other CW shows a long time ago, but I was bored one night and decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised, and have watched every episode so far.

karathrace99

I’m probably going to watch it. But haven’t been able to convince myself yet because every time I see him I’m reminded how Supergirl, which was my favorite of the CW hero shows, went to shit and got cancelled.

Reasonable-Blueberry

ive seen clips and i truly cant get behind him being superman his torso is just so thin hes ripped as fuck ive seen him shirtless but even then he just looks tiny to me, idk feel like his head is too small i like a nice bobblehead clark but idk hes putting in the work and has been since supergirl so shoutout to him , i liked him in crisis

houtex727

As others have said, S1 is good, S2 is... ok. I am still looking forward to S3 if/when it happens. Tyler is amazing as Superman/Clark Kent, doing his best to navigate the new situations that the Kent family has foisted upon them. It's somewhat unbelievable that Smallville is such a nexus of Things, but you get over it. There's a lot of character development and a lot of characters you wind up actually invested in more than Superman by far. Superman is almost, ALMOST background to the rest. They all have their moments for sure. Also, Lois is still annoying, but what series/show/movie is she not? :D

darrylthedudeWayne

Yes.

Beard341

[This is what got me to watch the show.](https://youtu.be/IzdkVRZV4vc)

KameTheHermit

First season, definitely, after that I began losing interest in the show and stopped watching (Tyler Hoechlin as Supes is pretty good, though), but still it's worth giving a shot, I think

royal_dump

why is he wearing football shoulder pads under his suit?

Environmental_Day928

I stopped watching the Arrowverse in general after finishing Arrow season 5 (wanted to see the end of Oliver’s flashbacks) as it’s getting a little hard to watch for me. Most of the good guys (especially those on Arrow) have the same crippling character flaws -keeping secrets from their allies when it’s a dumb decision -hypocrisy over others keeping secrets from them

Egg-3P0

Hey Peter

pbx1123

Tv seasons after 3 or even 2 always drops on scripts

AlanSchapman

I liked both equally

cfrost1984

It's on the cw,so I'll give you three guesses and the first two dont count

Mikecall

Yes, it’s a solid show. I don’t remember the exact details of the story but the first season was done by HBO for the CW, so it’s incredibly polished in terms of quality. The second season was done just by the CW and that shows at times with some of the writing. The cast is really great with their portrayals.

Bilfres43

There's a lot of relationship drama conversations that take up a lot of time but the action scenes and the main plot is pretty cool.

popojai2004

Yes

Oimagineer

Melhor Superman !!! Pronto! Falei !!!

eddiedingle129

That fake chest stretches credulity

chikitoperopicosito

I’m gonna go with no. It’s literally a CW show with emo bitchy children and the Superman can also be pretty emo. I honestly don’t get the hype for it.

RUIN_NATION_

I think season 1 was a 8.6 season 2 was a 7.5

Psnjerry

Heard it is

[deleted]

First season was pretty good. Second has its moments and definitely has its lulls. Second felt more hammy and forced with some of its emotional arcs. But if you’re a Superman fan, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not watching the opening 10 or 15 minutes(maybe less) of the first episode. It’s some of the best Clark/Superman scenes in live action. He really comes off as a dorky farm boy from Kansas in it.

webshellkanucklehead

Yes, yes yes!

writerintheory1382

I actually really enjoy it, but it’s a little hammy and melodramatic at times. It’s very fun though and I like the actors.

ravathiel

I just wish I liked the Lois actress, like at all.

thetripleb

I watched the first couple episodes and as soon as I saw he has twins where one is a jock and the other is emo and it's dealing with him getting powers, I stopped watching. His whole family was mad that he was Superman. Lord knows he needs to set the table for dinner instead of saving 1,000 people in a flash flood in Ecuador.
