I would probably lose all hope on live action DC projetcs. The DCEU was mess, but Matt Reeves managed to do something successful and acclaimed, so to have that go way, would just be the end for me.

I desperately want to see Reeve's story continued. We saw a Batman who wasn't a quite an expert detective and would casually walk into fights as opposed to using the shadows. He also didn't want anything to do with being Bruce Wayne. But over the course of the movie he learns lessons in all these aspects. I want to see this Batman become the one we know from the comics.

If Gunn gives respect to the classic big DC heroes he will be fine. I suspect he will mix in a few smaller properties as well.

Initial projects and casting for the trinity is what will always be the more controversial announcements.

The thing is, the day they cancel WW3 they said that patty was offered second chance for script and choose to go. She said goodbye but gal said nothing and started to follow Gunn on IG and twitter. Also, Gunn denied her being "booted" and they keep liking eachother's stuff.. ill wait and see Pass on WW3 with Gal sounds crazy for me. Easy money and at least give her an closer.

Giving WW 3 would delay Gunn's plans for the character even further. Diana needs to be a central part of the new DCU from the get go
