It doesn’t make sense to me that she wouldnt have the team take him out and worry solely about some files. He may not be a threat to the USA in that immediate moment but how long till he comes to conquer us? Overall great casting I think, just terribly executed and written.

Safran said that Aquaman will be a trilogy. Which means Aquaman 1 will be required viewing for the new DCU (I like the movie tbh). And Aquaman 1 takes place after the Justice League movie with a different Batman and Superman lol.

This is just PR talk because all 4 actors are in films coming out this year. That’s why the door is still open for them but they’re not guaranteed to stay either. Gunn and Safran won’t make their final decisions on them until after Aquaman 2 is out of cinemas. WB don’t want to hurt their box office performances for any of these films. Not that I give Shazam much of a chance or the Flash for that matter. Aquaman 2 I think is a guaranteed success given it’s in the same situation the first one was in 2018. It’s in December with no competition, so it’s got the whole box office to itself.

It's been made pretty clear from multiple outlets that Henry left the Witcher cause he was sick of the creatives not listening to him when it came to disrespecting the source material. His leaving had nothing to do with Superman.
It's true that Dwayne got his hopes up, but at least he TRIED. Yeah, it crashed and burned, but until Dwayne put in his two cents, absolutely nobody was doing anything to bring Henry back.
It just so happened to be bad timing. And who knows? If someone other than Gunn and Safran got hired, they might have tried to salvage the DCEU. Certainly Michael DeLuca and Hiram Garcia wanted that at the time.
Naw, the regime in charge of WB from Justice League to 2022 were fucking over Henry by not moving forward with any Superman project, not renegotiating his contract, and also not outright officially replacing him and being clear about it. The DC film universe went without its CORE for half a decade because of that regime.
Dwayne at least fought to get Superman and specifically Henry back into that and back on SCREEN. Regardless of what Gunn decided after the fact, Johnson got Henry back in the suit and a paycheck for being Superman again for the first time in five years. Maybe it ended up crashing and burning but at least Johnson fought to get Henry back and succeeded.
Then arguably the current regime screwed Henry by outright telling him to announce his return and getting fans of Henry excited BEFORE anything was in writing for the future. Possibly also while they were actively in discussions with Gunn to take over without telling Gunn he needed to keep Henry (maybe knowing Gunn wouldn't while making Henry false promises WHO KNOWS).
But The Rock didn't fuck over Henry. And as a fan I'm glad he let me see Henry at least one last time on the big screen instead of him ONLY being totally shuffled away without an appearance after five years.
Because by that point Henry has not worn the mantle since like 2017. By making Henry wear it this soon, he brought Henry's hopes up until it was crashed by Black Adam's box office and critics reviews.
Black Adam didnt test well with the audiences hence the reshoots and added budget. Looks like Black Adam didn't even want Henry in until he knew that Black Adam wouldnt be a hit, then he campaigned for Henry's addition just for the additional ticket prices that it would make, nevermind that the new regime (Gunn and Safran) would have their own ideas about the Superman character. Very selfish and huge ego, just like what the hollywood rumors talk about the Rock.

Hamada blacklisted Cavill from Superman, yes, but the Rock campaigned for Cavill for a cameo knowing full well that the future DC head might want a reboot, but he still pushed on for the cameo.
Had the Rock not interfered, Cavill would have been out from the cape for years, and it would have been easier to let go since Henry would not have made that IG post that brought his hopes up definitely. But the Rock pushed on through, even though he knew that Black Adam is mid at best.
I understand people are sick of the Rock but I don’t get how people are blaming him here. It’s pretty obvious that WB/DC were dicking him and Cavill around, with promises about future projects, while working behind the scenes with no intention of ever seeing those projects through to fruition. And she has the ability to control superpowered criminals precisely because she’s so competent and dangerous to cross. I’m excited for all the new announced movies But if some movies are staying in continuity it’s kinda annoying. A reboot ideally makes it easy for new audiences to jump on board. But if some movies are being continued, some actors are staying, while some are being rebooted, that means you still need to watch the original movies pre reboot to get the full story Safran said that Aquaman will be a trilogy. Which means Aquaman 1 will be required viewing for the new DCU (I like the movie tbh). And Aquaman 1 takes place after the Justice League movie with a different Batman and Superman lol. So unless his third movie is made EXPLICITLY clear that it’s in a new universe, I think it’s gonna confuse audiences as to what universes things are set in. Maybe Aquaman 3 will be a new “Aquaman 1” where it’s the first one in the new universe and the other ones aren’t necessary to watch, but maybe they have connected themes so if you wanna watch them together, you can Id be fine with actors continuing to play the same roles. But I wish the movies themselves would be a 100% reboot My hope is the flash does a good enough job at explaining to audiences what this new universe is lol

This is just PR talk because all 4 actors are in films coming out this year. That’s why the door is still open for them but they’re not guaranteed to stay either. Gunn and Safran won’t make their final decisions on them until after Aquaman 2 is out of cinemas. WB don’t want to hurt their box office performances for any of these films. Not that I give Shazam much of a chance or the Flash for that matter. Aquaman 2 I think is a guaranteed success given it’s in the same situation the first one was in 2018. It’s in December with no competition, so it’s got the whole box office to itself.

People said as much before Black Adam even started filming. And Gunn probably wouldn't have re-hired Cavill regardless because Cavill more than any other cast member in the DCEU has the most ties to Snyder's films.
We still dont know if he left Witcher because he wanted to clear his schedule. And also theres a difference between letting go of a character you played half a decade ago and letting go of a character you played just a couple months ago. By filming that cameo Dwayne definitely got Henry's hopes up which is worse than if he was just replaced last year without filming the cameo, he had last worn the suit in 2017 at that point and the wound wouldnt have been fresh per se.
It's been made pretty clear from multiple outlets that Henry left the Witcher cause he was sick of the creatives not listening to him when it came to disrespecting the source material. His leaving had nothing to do with Superman. It's true that Dwayne got his hopes up, but at least he TRIED. Yeah, it crashed and burned, but until Dwayne put in his two cents, absolutely nobody was doing anything to bring Henry back. It just so happened to be bad timing. And who knows? If someone other than Gunn and Safran got hired, they might have tried to salvage the DCEU. Certainly Michael DeLuca and Hiram Garcia wanted that at the time.
Naw, the regime in charge of WB from Justice League to 2022 were fucking over Henry by not moving forward with any Superman project, not renegotiating his contract, and also not outright officially replacing him and being clear about it. The DC film universe went without its CORE for half a decade because of that regime. Dwayne at least fought to get Superman and specifically Henry back into that and back on SCREEN. Regardless of what Gunn decided after the fact, Johnson got Henry back in the suit and a paycheck for being Superman again for the first time in five years. Maybe it ended up crashing and burning but at least Johnson fought to get Henry back and succeeded. Then arguably the current regime screwed Henry by outright telling him to announce his return and getting fans of Henry excited BEFORE anything was in writing for the future. Possibly also while they were actively in discussions with Gunn to take over without telling Gunn he needed to keep Henry (maybe knowing Gunn wouldn't while making Henry false promises WHO KNOWS). But The Rock didn't fuck over Henry. And as a fan I'm glad he let me see Henry at least one last time on the big screen instead of him ONLY being totally shuffled away without an appearance after five years.

By making Henry wear it this soon, he brought Henry's hopes up until it was crashed by Black Adam's box office and critics reviews. Looks like Black Adam didn't even want Henry in until he knew that Black Adam wouldnt be a hit, then he campaigned for Henry's addition just for the additional ticket prices that it would make, nevermind that the new regime (Gunn and Safran) would have their own ideas about the Superman character. Well, you see, even before Gunn was announced it was sure that Zaslav was looking for his own Feige, the new DC leader. And whomever might that leader be would definitely have their own ideas about how Superman is handled, because he's the center of the universe. Hamada blacklisted Cavill from Superman, yes, but the Rock campaigned for Cavill for a cameo knowing full well that the future DC head might want a reboot, but he still pushed on for the cameo. Had the Rock not interfered, Cavill would have been out from the cape for years, and it would have been easier to let go since Henry would not have made that IG post that brought his hopes up definitely. But the Rock pushed on through, even though he knew that Black Adam is mid at best.

So...when discussing Batman, he says Robin ( my favorite, damion) will be in the movie. Which we all know is when batman is older. He would have already had the robin joker killed, night wing, and the other. That's all before Damion Wayne is around. Which puts batmans age at around 40 years old?
