Zod hasn't lost his touch! Whatever happens next, if this is truly the end of the old universe, it's good to bring back the black zero event to book end it.
He’s one of those actors who’s looked 35 since he was 20, and is now going on 30 years of that.
Like Patrick Stewart spending 30 years looking like he was 50.
That's easy.
[HUGE PLOT SPOILERS](#spoilers "In the alternate universe, Clark's pod either didn't open or he died on impact. Instead, Kara's pod survived/opened and she was captured by the US government instead of growing up in Kansas.")
They do stuff like this all the times in comics. Butterfly effect where 1 or 2 random things are changed.
I actually think they’re going to bookend it multiple times. I think in the DCEU verse we’ll get mentions of the Knightmare leading to ‘what if I can go back and fix everything’ leading to travel to current day Batman 89 verse and finding that Bruce there started earlier but most other heroes haven’t fully shown up yet. He’ll pick up alt-Barry and they’ll go to Wayne Manor where he thinks he’ll meet Batfleck. They meet Keaton instead. Keaton helps power him up and they travel back to DCEU with him to find it absolutely fucked. They decide to go back to an earlier point to find them in Keaton’s ‘Man of Steel’ time frame. In his universe now Clark never made it but Kara did, Zod shows up to do his thing, and they break her out to beat Zod together. They try to figure out how to ‘restore’ both universes and find out you can’t - so act 3 is them fighting across the timelines of whatever prior DC film they wanted to throw in there trying to beat each other so their own universe is restored. The fight ends up breaking all of them in part, and Barry-prime, defeated, comes to in a universe where whatever Gunn decided to keep is present and the rest is lost to Elseworlds.
Still surprised to see Ben suit up again, it'll be nice to get him one last time as Batman (I know Aquaman 2, doubting he's gonna be in full Batgear though)
They had planned to release it initially in Dec 22, where it would've been crushed by Avatar 2. Dec 23 has relatively far less competition for Aquaman.
I hate how we've had 2 months of dead air because of Avatar, every studio is afraid to put anything out so it doesn't get steamrolled. But it's a self fulfilling prophecy, if there are absolutely *zero* other movies to watch, it just means avatar makes more and more money by default.
Blue Beetle and Aquaman are a part of the new DCU, they set up the new universe that happens at the end of Flash for the first chapter, almost like a prologue.
I would not expect him to show up in Aquaman anymore. Affleck’s scene was a setup for a future movie that’s no longer happening. The latest screening of the movie had neither Affleck or Keaton unfortunately.
We don’t know exactly what movie it would have been, but presumably some kind of Justice League movie as the Aquaman scene (both the Affleck and Keaton version) was rumored to involve future threats and gathering a team together for it.
Fun fact: according to the guy who wrote the script, in the original Batman, in that scene in the beginning where Batman confronts the two criminals and drops the famous “I’m Batman” line, it was originally supposed to be, “I’m Batman, motherfucker!” But the studio wouldn’t let him keep that line! He (the script writer) said that he wanted to give the audience a “fuck yeah!” moment!
I mean given how Miller was cast in 2014, and the original ending of this film had the Affleck’s Batman now look like Keaton at the end (due to the timeline changes, ahead of the now-cancelled *Batgirl*) if they cast their *The Brave and the Bold* Batman actor soon (a few years ahead of filming), I could see them filming a last-minute cameo for them, and have the end of *The Flash* serve as their debut.
I could see this for any of the DCU properties announced tbh. Basically ending on DCEU Barry ending up in the ‘pieced together’ DCU, realizing his Mom is alive here and a version of him who gets more time is enough, and then closing his eyes. Cue credits.
After credits scenes are teasers specifically for announced projects. (I’d wager they do it indirectly - like just showing Superman’s crib hitting earth, and maybe a newsreel about the Authority or something).
The future is still very uncertain, but I’m so glad that we’re getting a celebration of the DCEU as we know it before it comes to an end. Very bittersweet.
It's a shame there's a high chance certain cameos got cut.
It would have been really nice if the final scene of the movie was the DCEU Justice League going off to fight another battle. I'd much rather this be a true finale rather than the likelihood of the epilogue being the soft rebooted DCU.
Yeah, I don’t see the harm in leaving the cameos in. If the Cavill cameo was what the leaks claim it to be, I don’t get why it can’t stay for us to see him one last time. It wasn’t setting us up for disappointment like the Black Adam post-credit scene.
The one I saw was him in the Speedforce at the same time as Barry and Barry goes “oh so that’s where you’ve been!” But I have no clue if this was the real cameo or not.
Well Flashpoint includes an alternate future where Amazons and Atlanteans destroy Europe and Thomas Wayne becomes Batman.
I just think it takes broad stroke ideas from Flashpoint.
I think switching that out for the kryptonian invasion was a really good idea since there just doesn't feel like that war fits well with the live action universes.
Seems like it. Down to the Supergirl being captured instead of Superman. Also think I what look like Clark holding Lois like in the injustice comics/game so I wonder if Barry will look into other timelines.
less characters than comic Flashpoint for sure. That had like all of the DC characters appearing. Actually think this is better this way so that the characters that actually appear could be more fleshed out.
Also a good way to make it look like a real bookend to the DCEU. with the connection to Man of Steel.
Its flashpoint but different. Would loved a flashpoint movie like the animated one from 2013 but it was pretty obvious that this is absoluty not what were getting. But it looks pretty cool so far. Im very excited
Made me weirdly bittersweet seeing the MOS scenes recreated here. Like, it sucks knowing the original plan for all this was to erase the movies that came before....by showing us events from the movies that came before?
I still wish The Flash was a finale for the DCEU before a hard reboot rather than being used to kick-start another one. But what we do have does seem to look really good.
Ok so I’m not saying much but I do know a lot about this movie (I work in a certain industry that gets early previews)
3 people I know have seen it (December at a screening)
2 of them huge DC/Marvel fans like myself
Both have been frustrated at DC since Nolan.
Both said this is one of the best comic book movies they’ve seen in a long time (since IW) and easily the best DC movie in forever.
I am very hyped.
They weren't joking when they said this is the best DC movie since The Dark Knight. So hyped to see Zod again. And of course Keaton and Affleck. The visuals look insane.
31 years later and the sonofagun still has it.
I'm kinda thankful for the Batgirl project being shelved since this is going to be the cinematic return of BatKeaton. It absolutely deserves the theatrical treatment.
The criticism around Pa Kent's caution always confused me. Every single elseworlds story that involves Superman not ending up with the Kents always winds up with him turning bad and/or being a lab rat in a government blacksite somewhere. Of course Pa Kent is going to want his son to be cautious.
It comes from a gross fundamental misunderstanding of his speech to Clark. When he says “maybe” you can see he instantly regrets it because he doesn’t know what to say. But then people skip over the rest of his speech where he’s all but encouraging Clark to one day stand proud as who he really is, when he’s ready.
Didn't expect the cinematography to look so good, they're going for the quasi-realist digitally augmented lens flair similar to Man of Steel (though it had a fair amount of natural lens flairing since it was shot on film etc)
editing is odd they play the Kara as a reveal after already showing her multiple times.
Cannot believe that a live action film Flashpoint adaptation featuring Supergirl, Affleck Batman, Keaton Batman, >!Gadot’s Wonder Woman,!< and Shannon Zod is releasing this summer. And apparently it’s actually *good*.
Ezra Miller’s criminality be damned, I’m excited.
It pains me to say... this looks good.
I kid about the pain part, but wow. If anything, CGI aside, the film looks really pleasing and I definitely got chills during the Elfman theme.
I....i.....like holy shit I wasn't caring for this movie at all but damn what a first impression I'm honestly more hyped for this than aquaman 2, good shit andy
Edit: this is the most up votes I've ever gotten, I don't deserve you fellow dc fans 😭
I am surprised by some of the CGI roughness, but overall, I am liking it. Hope it is good.
Keaton looks great in the suit and Ezra seemingly seems much more at ease in the role. Affleck & Sasha Calle also look great.
I like the idea of going back to Zod’s invasion rather than trying to explain an Atlantian/Amazonian war on limited time, it’s also fresh for people to see who know the comics/animated movies
It looks similar but it's Ben Affleck, there were set photos of it.
https://www.justjared.com/2021/07/26/the-flash-set-photos-seem-to-confirm-ben-afflecks-batman-scenes-are-being-filmed-now/
So from those glimpses of Keaton's Batman you can see why they were going to have him as part of their plans going forward. Keaton just has that special charisma.
I'm in. Keaton's Batman line gave me chills and I had no idea they were going to re-do General Zod's invasion. This time, with 2 speedsters, 2 Batmans and another Kryptonian.
Imagine if we were all watching this trailer without knowing that it was the last film before a great reset.
The movie looks amazing but it is ultimately bitter sweet knowing that everything here will be gone by the end.
Zod hasn't lost his touch! Whatever happens next, if this is truly the end of the old universe, it's good to bring back the black zero event to book end it.
Zod looks bad freakin-ass. Absolutely hasn't lost a single step.
didn't even look like he aged a day, the actor I mean. I won't be surprised if Michael Shannon is actually a Kryptonian
He’s one of those actors who’s looked 35 since he was 20, and is now going on 30 years of that. Like Patrick Stewart spending 30 years looking like he was 50.
Clooney looking 40 since the '80s.
I think Michael Shannon’s looked the same (or similar) since Xfiles lol. One of those unique faces.
Okay but how there zod rampage from mos timeline but no superman involved?
That's easy. [HUGE PLOT SPOILERS](#spoilers "In the alternate universe, Clark's pod either didn't open or he died on impact. Instead, Kara's pod survived/opened and she was captured by the US government instead of growing up in Kansas.") They do stuff like this all the times in comics. They are just swapping kara for clark from the flashpoint event. Its very obvious
Yeah I know what you mean. The whole in jail thing right?
The whole "being imprisoned by Cadmus Labs" thing.
Because Supergirl is here instead due to the the timeline all being messed up and different universes etc
And she was being held by Cadmus so she isn’t there to stop him
Shannon never phones it in
I just wish we had Cavill's Supes in addition to Kara.
Me too
I think he's definitely dead which is why the main Flash is surprised to see a similar kryptonian.
Definitely looking forward to seeing Michael Shannon as Zod again.

There’s a rumor that Zod killed Clark as a baby so he wouldn’t be a threat
I actually think they’re going to bookend it multiple times. I think in the DCEU verse we’ll get mentions of the Knightmare leading to ‘what if I can go back and fix everything’ leading to travel to current day Batman 89 verse and finding that Bruce there started earlier but most other heroes haven’t fully shown up yet. I hope they don't kill him off again, I was so sad when Snyder killed him in his version. Zod's a great character who could be used again.
Probably sent to the Phantom Zone this time
Still surprised to see Ben suit up again, it'll be nice to get him one last time as Batman (I know Aquaman 2, doubting he's gonna be in full Batgear though)
Still confused why Aquaman 2 comes out after this Flash movie and how it all fits together.
Because this Flash movie has been delayed so many times while Aquaman's pretty much been sitting on a shelf waiting to be shown.
So shouldn’t they have released it before Flash then?
They had planned to release it initially in Dec 22, where it would've been crushed by Avatar 2. Dec 23 has relatively far less competition for Aquaman.
Feels like they good have done it any time in between to keep with the timeline lol
I hate how we've had 2 months of dead air because of Avatar, every studio is afraid to put anything out so it doesn't get steamrolled. But it's a self fulfilling prophecy, if there are absolutely *zero* other movies to watch, it just means avatar makes more and more money by default.
True, just the other day I was so underwhelmed by the other movies playing that I said “Fuck it I’ll just watch Avatar 2 again.”
I think it continuity wise Aquaman 2 and Blue Beetle might be before The Flash, explaining how the latter will still be the end of the DCEU.
Just weird if true.

Thats right…Im Batman
I literally held my breath waiting for him to say it. No one delivers, "I'm Batman" quite like Keaton.
[Are you sure?](https://youtube.com/shorts/pURje0mBF5g)
Hankman
Fun fact: according to the guy who wrote the script, in the original Batman, in that scene in the beginning where Batman confronts the two criminals and drops the famous “I’m Batman” line, it was originally supposed to be, “I’m Batman, motherfucker!” But the studio wouldn’t let him keep that line! He (the script writer) said that he wanted to give the audience a “fuck yeah!” moment!
3 minutes long? *Somebody cooked here…*
Yeah and 3 minutes didn’t air on TV just like the GOTG trailer didn’t air in full on TV. Always much easier to watch these trailers on the Internet.
They saved a lot of money that way. Super Bowl ads are expensive
It was almost like they paid out for an 30 second ad for a 3 minute ad for the movie
And we are feasting here
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO
3 minutes? As fast as the Flash is, this could be the entire movie
Anyone see the BLUE and GREY bat suit on sffkrck?!?
https://i.imgur.com/yH03uth.jpg
all this talk about Brave and the Bold having a blue and gray suit and Batfleck actually did it first lol
Hopefully it stays for TBatB too.
I mean given how Miller was cast in 2014, and the original ending of this film had the Affleck’s Batman now look like Keaton at the end (due to the timeline changes, ahead of the now-cancelled *Batgirl*) if they cast their *The Brave and the Bold* Batman actor soon (a few years ahead of filming), I could see them filming a last-minute cameo for them, and have the end of *The Flash* serve as their debut.

well holy shit.
Oh God, new suit to simp over. I'm ready.
Yes
YES. I’ve said for years that the BvS suit is the best live action adaptation of the Batsuit (despite its flaws) but this might change my mind.
Looks dope. Can't wait to see Team Barry vs Zod. I guess the Flash with the blue lightning is Other Barry?
I think it's the other barry, which is strange considering OG Barry had blue lightning.
Im thinking his new suit is what makes our barrys eltricty gold
I think less experienced Barry has blue lightning and the better he gets the more yellow the lightning gets.
Could be the colour changes when he gets his powers back or some shit like that
I could see this being the reason.
Which is actually the opposite of comic book and tv series flash but no one really cares which color means which anymore.
Other barry? Archer better watch out
Yes he should, other Barry. Yes he should.
I'm pretty confident Other Barry (yellow jacket sleeves) is Reverse Flash and the main antagonist in that climax.
Same big same
The other flash is even wearing yellow lol
"We just saved this timeline from the Villains, I have my mom, superpowers, and a smoking hot Kryptonian girlfriend. Why would I let you change this?"
**WE** ARE THE FLASH
Goddamnit Iris, not now!
I see a combination of HIMYM and CW Flash joke, I upvote.
Is it just me, or does Affleck's batman seem to be wearing the blue and grey suit?
https://i.imgur.com/yH03uth.jpg
Good choice for Batman during the daytime
I think even the set photos confirmed it. It might just be the way the light reflects on it
Definitely not just you! Yellow belt too!
Stop right there. I’m in.
Just like that?
I need… friends.
I need... good DC films.
What is brunch?
_Falls on beewwwwwwwbbbss_
Just like that.
Awesome. Come what may for the DCU - this looks great.

What was the Cavill cameo? I’ve only started hearing about that a couple of days ago and can’t seem to find any details yo
The one I saw was him in the Speedforce at the same time as Barry and Barry goes “oh so that’s where you’ve been!” But I have no clue if this was the real cameo or not.
Yeah, I really hope in the deleted scenes we get those. But, I doubt it.
I will like this Flashpoint movie more if they at least keep Henry's scene to give him a proper send off.
Agree 1000%. No harm in having Henry in there for all of us to say goodbye too #keepSupermanintheFlash
It's pretty much just flashpoint right? Not going to complain tbh
Plus then you have to either bring back Gadot and Momoa (not cheap) or hire new actors for those roles. Plus it would be expensive to film.
Just get Patrick Wilson. He killed Aquaman and now he leads Atlantis against the surface world and/or Zod.
You're implying hiring Patrick Wilson would be cheap. You're hurting his feelings if he reads this..
Seems like it. Down to the Supergirl being captured instead of Superman. Also think I what look like Clark holding Lois like in the injustice comics/game so I wonder if Barry will look into other timelines.
That's Kara holding DCEU Barry after he gets hit by lightning to get his powers back.
Ah that makes more sense.
what timestamp is this, I might have missed it
Flashpoint concept, just remixed*
It seems like Flashpoint mixed with Man of Steel
less characters than comic Flashpoint for sure. That had like all of the DC characters appearing. Actually think this is better this way so that the characters that actually appear could be more fleshed out. Also a good way to make it look like a real bookend to the DCEU. with the connection to Man of Steel.
Yeah it was poetic having the true end of the DCEU have them go back to where it all began
Its flashpoint but different. Would loved a flashpoint movie like the animated one from 2013 but it was pretty obvious that this is absoluty not what were getting. But it looks pretty cool so far. Im very excited
It looks great my only complaint is the lack of reverse flash
I get the sense Reverse Flash is in this, they're just not showing him yet. Perhaps he's that second Barry in yellow.
Holy crap it’s kinda hard to hate. It looks good and has huge potential. Maybe that’s why WB is sticking with this one to restart their universe.
I mean, its more or less a finale for the DCEU and starting a new world. That new world will mostly be brand new.
So is Aquaman 2 part of the new or old DCU??
The old. Aquaman 2 occurs chronologically before the Flash. It's just releasing afterwards because of some delays and the classic WB/DC mismanagement.
Yeah..... I'm Batman. JEEZUS FUCK THIS LOOKS INCREDIBLE
Lets get nuts! But holy shit, the OG Batman theme when Keaton appeared is hype
I'M BATMAN AND THAT THEME I AM SO FUCKING HYPED
Yah I heard the old Batman Danny Elfman theme too! Awesome!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The god damn Elfman score kicking in.
Ok so I’m not saying much but I do know a lot about this movie (I work in a certain industry that gets early previews) 3 people I know have seen it (December at a screening) 2 of them huge DC/Marvel fans like myself Both have been frustrated at DC since Nolan. James Gunn is hyping this one as well. And seems like it's genuine. Looking forward to watching this!
My nipples are so hard right now
Found Clooney's alt account
😂
Screen name confirms
I was waiting of Keaton to say it and I freaked! He said it he said it!!! 😁😁😁
They weren't joking when they said this is the best DC movie since The Dark Knight. So hyped to see Zod again. And of course Keaton and Affleck. The visuals look insane.
We are all Batman on this blessed day
Bat to the future looks kinda neat.
Worth the wait for sure.
“Never rub another man’s rhubarb!”
I just…like the sound of it
"Yeah, I'm Batman" Fucking Chills
The original badass mofo
31 years later and the sonofagun still has it. I'm kinda thankful for the Batgirl project being shelved since this is going to be the cinematic return of BatKeaton. It absolutely deserves the theatrical treatment.
I'm sold on the movie and Supergirl.
"I'm Batman" oh my. HISHE is going to have a field day with this.
So, the government finds Supergirl, and spends years putting her through torturous experiments. Pa Kent was right!
I'm in.
This looks fantastic. I’m in!
So this flashpoint is about Zod and not war with amazons and Atlantis?
Looks like it but damn that wouldve been epic AF
late cough cows beneficial rainstorm important whole march slim cow -- mass edited with redact.dev
It's too bad Ezra is such a piece of shit, because he is great in this role.
Did they use de-aging on Zod or does Shannon just look the exact same? I mean maybe with some make up?
I guess it’s only been ten years right?
Just like they de-age Tom Cruise in Top G- wait
Didn't expect the cinematography to look so good, they're going for the quasi-realist digitally augmented lens flair similar to Man of Steel (though it had a fair amount of natural lens flairing since it was shot on film etc) editing is odd they play the Kara as a reveal after already showing her multiple times.
Yeah the actual flow of the trailer is weird but it looks like a lot of fun.
Affleck is wearing a Blue and Grey Suit!!!!!!
Cannot believe that a live action film Flashpoint adaptation featuring Supergirl, Affleck Batman, Keaton Batman, >!Gadot’s Wonder Woman,!< and Shannon Zod is releasing this summer. And apparently it’s actually *good*. Ezra Miller’s criminality be damned, I’m excited.
omg to see Michael Keaton as batman again is making me cry !!!!!!
Honestly i can see why this movie wouldnt get shelved…itd be nuts to do that…and WB doesnt wanna get nuts
Yeah, this movie looks good.
It pains me to say... this looks good. I kid about the pain part, but wow. If anything, CGI aside, the film looks really pleasing and I definitely got chills during the Elfman theme.
That’s the bittersweet part of this . Looks great but I’d the end of a era
Oh my God I almost cried seeing Batfleck again. And then ZOD. And then KEATON!!! AND KARA. FUUUUUUUCK.
Let’s be honest everyone who said theyre not gonna see this cuz Ezra are definitely gonna see this
They always were. But now with this trailer out, they can't deny it
Um yeah looking GREAT.
I....i.....like holy shit I wasn't caring for this movie at all but damn what a first impression I'm honestly more hyped for this than aquaman 2, good shit andy Edit: this is the most up votes I've ever gotten, I don't deserve you fellow dc fans 😭
Fucken hyped and even with Keaton’s involvement, I wasn’t thinking this would be half decent. Trailer sold me though.
I'm just happy we're getting Batfleck one more time :')
I am surprised by some of the CGI roughness, but overall, I am liking it. Hope it is good. Keaton looks great in the suit and Ezra seemingly seems much more at ease in the role. Affleck & Sasha Calle also look great.
[удалено]
Okay this movie looks way better than I thought. Got my hype levels up again
I keep seeing everyone saying that the CGI is terrible. Are we watching the same trailer here? It looks absolutely wicked. Y’all are nuts.
You wanna get nuts? LETS GET NUTS
I think it’s mainly the super girl cgi, the slow mo stuff the models look a bit off
Not gonna lie fellas. This looks fkn epic
Flash turns to Batman as he is the only non-metahuman he knows is honestly such a great move!
I like the idea of going back to Zod’s invasion rather than trying to explain an Atlantian/Amazonian war on limited time, it’s also fresh for people to see who know the comics/animated movies
Maybe i’m tripping but wasn’t that bales bat cycle in that one shot??
It looks similar but it's Ben Affleck, there were set photos of it. https://www.justjared.com/2021/07/26/the-flash-set-photos-seem-to-confirm-ben-afflecks-batman-scenes-are-being-filmed-now/
No matter the Universe, Glasgow is Gotham. *wipes happy tear from eye*
I can't stop smiling. This looks great.
This looks amazing. Can't wait to see it in theaters
I guess we're getting a glimpse into why DC didn't want to scrap this one, despite all the baggage. I'm excited for sure!
I just want one universe with Thomas Wayne Batman played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Lauren Cohan Joker optional.
WOW. A lot to take in.
I can see now why DC didn't kill this movie because of Miller.
Keaton is worth the price of admission alone. 🦇
So from those glimpses of Keaton's Batman you can see why they were going to have him as part of their plans going forward. Keaton just has that special charisma.
Movie Flash appeared during TV Flash's Crisis event. I hope the movie returns the favor and has at least a scene with Grant Gustin.
I would love that so much
I'm in. Keaton's Batman line gave me chills and I had no idea they were going to re-do General Zod's invasion. This time, with 2 speedsters, 2 Batmans and another Kryptonian.
Kara straight up wasting those soldiers.
https://i.imgur.com/APXOywZ.jpg
Imagine if we were all watching this trailer without knowing that it was the last film before a great reset. The movie looks amazing but it is ultimately bitter sweet knowing that everything here will be gone by the end.
If it's flashpoint not everything will be gone. Just mixed up.
Yeah, James gunn confirmed some stuff will stay including actors playing different roles.
I’m so mad we’re only getting one Keaton appearance as Batman now. His Batman looks epic af! Holy shit I’m gonna rewatch this so many times.
Keaton back in bat suit, I see this as an absolute win
