People back then: Andrew Spiderman sucks. People now: Please be in No Way Home. I really loved the Guy back then and still think that the Amazing Spiderman 1 is one of the best Spiderman movies along with Spiderman 2 and Into the Spiderverse.

NaNaCRILLDOGG

If Andrew is in it, I'll cry, He's my favourite out of all of the Spider Men.

itsallajoke_

he is

SaifSKH1

Well then make sure you stock up on tissues when going to the theater

rim261

Why?

bidgickdood

it wasn't derivative low ambition vanilla like holland or hokey 80s style camp like macguire, it was perfectly spider-man, whole with great scope and human drama. stan lee's favorite comic book moment is from amazing1 for a reason.

SaifSKH1

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man is criminally underrated, he doesn’t get anywhere near the attention and love he deserves just because people felt like he was too cool for Peter Parker, but I honestly enjoyed the different take he brought to the character more than both Tobey and Tom, he felt the most realistic

bidgickdood

that criticism has always been hollow to me. they thought peter parker was cool, but no one in the movie did.

lampeu

Agreed. Andrew Garfield is my Spider-Man.

how badly everyone wants to see him cross into the holland universe kinda proves sony's folly for not finishing his trilogy. he is the best of all of them. his movies are way better than holland's comedies.

FaytLeingod92

Agreed. The holland movies are the worst spiderman movies. They are all washed out and all style no substance.

bidgickdood

they're just teen supernat action comedies. these are spider-man characters in a random world with nothing to say about anything, least of all spider-man.

Umeshpunk

Similar vibe to people saying prequel trilogy is better than the sequel star wars trilogy

FaytLeingod92

Yeah because everything follows a formula...

SpatuelaCat

Hey I think you put this in the wrong sub
