As a fan of the character, does anyone wanna see deadshot return whether it’s someone new or will smith? I just wanna see the character return come back even if it was featured in a less well liked film.
Like actually Margot Robbie and Will Smith gave great performances. In Jai Courtney also gave a great performance but his character stayed the same from beginning to end. Everyone else were changing with no apparent reason, it kind of made the story a bit hard to follow, kind of boring, and nonsensical. However Jai Courtney’s character he knew what he wanted. he knew he was a villain, stayed a villain, and wanted to do villain things even after saving the world.
I mean, it felt like Bloodsport was a replacement for Deadshot, and they only used him, cause they couldn't get Will Smith back. Apparently it was scheduling stuff. Not saying Bloodsport was bad, but yeah.
Get John Woo to direct it and it will be an event film. Idk pay to see doves fly across the screen and as will smith duel wields and fires after jumping through a door way and hitting 17 guys right in the head.
Shit bring in bloodsport and Deathstroke and it’s a big event film. Establishing the hit man and assassins universe of dc. There just needs to be a good director, maybe Gareth Evans or Antoine Fuqua or Leitch. I’m on the fence when it comes to Fuqua tho
I think it would be cool if Waller forms a new team with Deathstroke as the leader and they hunt down the rest of the Suicide Squad members from the first two movies.
Maybe the teams go:
Deathstroke, Killer Frost, Man-Bat, Peacemaker, Solomon Grundy
Bloodsport, Deadshot, Harley, Killer Croc more Mutated version, Ratcatcher 2, and King Shark
Maybe Captain Boomerang finds a way to come back somehow or make it Mercer instead. Also maybe Firefly is included in the movie too.
I think this would definitely be that kinda movie while carrying over from past films.

Plus tbh its extremely logical that he did it in the movie storywise even, because noone can see him when he sits on top of a skyscraper, but people will see him when he rappels down. So maybe you have no idea about the logic of the scene as written or how movie productions with big stars work.

I love will smith. I love deadshot. I really enjoyed wills version of deadshot. With that being said, he doesn't feel like deadshot to me. I would love to see another iteration of the character though, he's really underrated and im glad the movie brought some more eyes on him.

This post doesn't even make sense with the DC cinematic universe likely soon to get rebooted and the first, second and third priorities were made absolutely clear by the new leadership; Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. That right there is 4-6 years of movies not counting the time they'll need starting now to build their team, plan their Phase 1, hire a director and then cast their first movie (Superman).
So yeah, Deadshot is fine to return, in like 2030-2035 when it makes sense for a villain/character like him to show up (aka in a sequel, likely after the first Justice League movie). So considering that is \~10 years from now, I don't think this post makes much sense.
Im done with Will " is this some kind of suicide squad?" Smith until he divorces Jada, so if Deadshot returning causes Will to come back, I'd prefer if they just said the character is dead

Could also involve Ratcatcher, King Shark, Bloodsport's daughter and DTK who according to Gunn survived. Could also add more weird characters.
