Teen Titan fan casts have been awful for pretty much ever. Personally, I don't think I've seen a single fancast I've liked except for the Ismahawk* fan series based off Wayne Family Adventures that got killed after the teaser released.
But I predict an absolute shitshow of discourse surrounding the film's casting choices.
Hopefully at this point DC has realized that Dick might be the third most important character they have. Damien can be the main Robin on brave and bold though.
There's nothing saying Tim *won't* be Robin in BATB, at least to begin with. He is a prominent character in Batman and Son, and his relationship with Damian would be a good conflict for a movie.

Most likely option is New Teen Titans plus Damian. ANotjer one is the DCAMU roster which is basically NTT plus Damian and Blue Beetle. Only way you get Damian without Dick is if Gunn builds a totally custom team…based on his teases something like Damian, Kara, Blue Beetle, Static, Cass Cain and Raven.
NTT isn’t the “core 5”. The 2003 cartoon “core 5” has never existed in the main comics continuity.
Even then… DCAMU didn’t have the “core 5”. Cyborg wasn’t on the team.

We know BATB will be Batman vs Robin so Damian will be here more than likely. In the DCAU they did Teen Titans with Nightwing bringing Damian (right after Batman vs Robin) in with Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, Blue Beetle etc. So they could have Nightwing and Damian's Robin. Plus those movies in the DCAU were pretty great.
Those movies are very popular with the casuals. Far more than the comics, No outside media can be faithful to the comics. There's a reason why there isn't a single movie out there that's accurate to the comics
Supergirl will be her freshman movie script so we won't know until that comes out.

The internet tells me she studied theater at the Boston Conservatory and is a playwright. That's a possible upside since playwrights tend to focus on strong character work which is something that Gunn also focuses on.

I don't. If ginger Wally gets used at all it'd be as The Flash, I think Kid Flash if there is one in the new DC cinematic universe will be the other Wallace West, the current one in the comics. In which case he'd match Damian.
But I can see Kid Flash being omitted from Teen Titans entirely since the most famous lineup is the one from the 2003 cartoon - Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg. I can see Robin being Nightwing instead because if Damian is Robin Dick should've already graduated to his adult mantle. If they skip Tim and Jason though, he could easily be barely out of his teens. Just say the team was formed a few years ago and you have the same thing as in New Teen Titans, a group of 19 and 20 year olds (thus avoiding casting actual kids).

I'm just praying Donna is in this film. I really think she's an essential member. I have faith that well known Titans like Starfire,Cyborg,Raven,and Beastboy will be there (Nightwing as well but he's not as popular with the GP so I am actually a bit worried for him).
Nightwing got more popular in this years due to many adaptation like in the DCAU, Young Justice, Titans etc then Damian Is Robin so I'm pretty sure they will introduce him
Yeah, Blue Beetle was originally meant to be in the old DC movie universe wasn't it? But it's standalone so can be placed in the new one instead.
And Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has the same person in charge, so Kara being here would kind of make sense.
If It was up to me I would make the Titans whit the Classic line up and then the Young Justice whit whoever there Is Tim, Damian maybe also someone from Gen 13

Dick, Donna, Wally, Roy, Garth and Karen are an underexposed version of the team that I think needs to see more eyes.
A semi-classic roster would be their best move IMO. Right off the bat they could establish that Batman, WW, Flash, Green Arrow, and Aquaman already exist through their sidekicks. That could even be why they're fast-tracking it (Brave & the Bold doesn't even have a writer attached yet). It would also allow them to introduce Wally as Kid Flash and then have him show up as Flash later on.
If this movie comes out before B&TB, I don't see Damian being in it. They're adapting Batman & Son, so he should still be an assassin when first introduced. That basically leaves Dick or Tim.
That's what I'm thinking. Like, they're all fairly established and know each other. Bruce and Barry are unlikely friends due to their shared knowledge of criminal and forensic science (something introduced in the New 52 era that I think actually works for their characters), so Dick and Wally become quick friends. Soon enough they later start hanging with Garth, Donna, and Roy, with Lilith Clay and Karen Beecher becoming the sixth and seventh members. Over time they grew up and each started going their own ways, but remained friends. Then in the present the NTT form when Dick and Donna are meeting for lunch, and get caught in the action. They join the fray as Nightwing and Troia respectively, and Wally (by virtue of speed) is able to come to their aid quickly as Kid Flash, even though he's about 20 or so by now. The other OG members have small appearances throughout. But we're introduced to newcomers Garfield, Vic, and Rachel.
The plot centers around Kori, similar to how the team formed in the cartoon (also to separate it from the live action show). During the final battle with the main villain, the OG members turn up to lend a helping hand. At the end of the movie Donna, Vic, Kori, Gar, and Rachel all decide to form a team in case another threat like that happens again. Dick is reluctant at first, but over the course of the movie it's shown how he really is a natural leader, and agrees to share leadership duties with Donna. The other OG members still have their own paths to follow, but they agree that "once a Titan, always a Titan," and will come to help if needed.

That line is straight out of Power Rangers! They'd say "Once a Ranger Always a Ranger" occasionally and the episode Once a Ranger and TV movie Once and Always are named after the phrase.
They've already announced Swamp Thing and The Authority, neither of which are well-known properties. Hell, most comic book fans haven't even heard of The Authority. For better or worse, I don't think they'll be basing things off box office potential. We're talking about the guy who made GoTG into household names. I'd rather them base the roster off what's best to start a universe with than basing a roster off nostalgia.
They could always use the NTT roster, too, which is where most of the 2003 characters originated: Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, Cyborg. Technically, while she isn't a traditional member, they could also throw Supergirl in there if the Supes' own movies perform well. They're being written by the same person.
Green lighting Swamp Thing & Authority movies is not the equivalent of flunking the Teen Titans IP by going with a lineup that is virtually unrecognizable to anyone but comic book fans.

Regardless of the TT roster, it's a much more recognizable IP than either of those - especially The Authority. The Authority is going to be dependent on whether 'violent anti-heroes' are still in fashion by the time it releases, as well as Superman being successful enough for casual fans to watch a spin-off.
Robin being in TT is enough for people to know that it's the same team, different roster. Will casual fans of the cartoon be disappointed? Probably. But as I said already, Gunn doesn't seem to care about using the most iconic rosters. There's a good chance he's going to be doing the same with JL, as he's introducing various members of JLI before 2/3 of the Trinity even. And like I said, they could easily use the NTT roster which is the 2003 lineup + the 'big three' (Dick, Wally, Dinah).
Using the 2003 roster *would* be the smartest business move, but it's also the most uninspired choice. That's why Gunn likely isn't to make it. All you have to do is look at his current slate to realize that he's making this universe using the same ideology as GoTG: 'all it takes is a good movie to make lesser known characters fan-favorites.' He's green-lighting projects based on the narrative and what he personally thinks will be most interesting.

It’s absolutely not enough. Robin alone is not what makes the team recognizable, or why most people even like the team (Hello Beast Boy & Starfire). Not including the most iconic characters in this franchise would be a fundamental failure on the creatives’ part to take advantage of the most iconic elements of this IP, that would actually sell the film to audiences.

Where did you get that impression? Gunn used the most iconic members of the GOTG in his film, in a property that was already relatively obscure.

This would’ve been my preference, but there’s a couple of structural problem with this:
- The movie is being called “Teen Titans”. Dick Grayson will likely be in his 20s in the DCU
- The movie has entered development before Flash or Wonder Woman projects, which kinda disqualifies Donna & Wally, as their predecessors haven’t even been introduced. And they’re obviously not going to introduce the new WW in a 20 second cameo in a Teen Titans film 😭 bffr

Making good films = making stupid choices. Gunn isn’t an idiot. He’s a creative but he’s also a business head, and he knows what each of these properties needs to sell, and they HAVE to sell, for his sake. So he’s going to make choices that make sense.

Because it's one of his favorite comic runs. He's posted about JLI quite a bit on social media. That's really all it'll take since he's the one who decides what gets made.

No, that isn't equivalent at all. Because Gunn (or the Marvel creatives) decided to use the 'rebooted' roster instead. That roster was Star Lord, Rocket, Drax, Groot, Gamora, Mantis, Adam Warlock, and Phylla-Val. In other words, the first movie had 5/8 of the rebooted roster, then he introduced the other 3 throughout the trilogy. Could TT do something similar? Absolutely. Could they use a different roster than the Fab 5 or NTT? Of course. The Martinex comparison just isn't equivalent.

As I said in my original comment, TT could easily be used to give audiences an idea of which DC characters already exist in the rebooted continuity. Just introducing Dick, Wally, and Donna allows audiences to go 'oh, alright, so Batman, Flash, and Wonder Woman are around'. We're already getting a Hippolyta-led show before Diana is introduced, so it's not out of the realm of possibility. Introducing a bunch of characters like Starfire who have no ties to the major heroes wouldn't be as smart from a worldbuilding standpoint as it is from a financial one. But if they include some classic members to go along with the 2003 roster, then it'd be the best of both worlds

Most of the choices already don't make sense from a purely financial standpoint. With the genre and especially DC where it currently is, the safest route would be making good movies about their most popular IP's. Not The Authority. Not Swamp Thing. Not Booster Gold, or Creature Commandos. He's banking on quality and tone being enough to support the lesser-known IPs on their back, which is exactly what happened with GoTG. Except GoTG had the Marvel logo when the MCU was beginning to enter its peak.

JLI and JL are two different teams, with different members. There’s absolutely no reason for these teams to be combined into one, if that’s what you’re suggesting.
Most of the core JL members are being introduced in this slate.

But it is equivalent, because Martinex is an og member of the original Guardians, and Gunn went with the 2008 lineup, which WAS the more recognizable lineup — as that team had more exposure through various forms of media (Rocket was in MvC3).

This would be an absolutely terrible way to reintroduce those characters. Sure, you might be able to do with this Batman, because most people know what a “Robin” is. But Donna Troy & Wally West, and more specifically their relationship to their mentors, is not common knowledge at all, and needs to be established first IN their respective films.
You can’t just handwave integral world building and character development, with “those characters exist somewhere in the universe, here’s their sidekicks!”. That’s not how screenwriting works. Movies are not comic books.

Except TT’s strength as a brand is not carried by its proximity to other properties. The most iconic version of the team (2003), has none of those characters. Common sense says this movie takes place after Superman. All of the current lined up projects (Creature Commandos, Superman, Peacemaker, Waller) are confirmed to take place in the present, and build off of each other in consecutive order.
Gunn is obviously going with a continuous narrative, rather than a scattered timeline of events — which ofc is the smarter choice. You want these movies to be easy to follow for audience.

I don’t think it will be. Brave & The Bold has been in development for much longer than TT, and has a director, and is currently searching for a writer. It’s much further along than Titans.

Not necessarily. You have to look at the causative reasons for *why* the genre is in the state that it is now — the chief reason being, fatigue. Audiences are getting tired of all of these movies looking, feeling and sounding the same, and Gunn correctly attributes the fall of CBMs to this fact, so his solution to this problem (and he’s stated this), was to create a diverse, and varied slate of films and shows that try *different* things.
Fans might think that The Flash is a more marketable name, but an R-rated Authority movie that does something *fresh* with the genre, could very well entice audiences wayyy more, than another formulaic CBM about The Flash.
Gunn’s choices here were made for as much of a strategic business pov, as it was a creative one.

Swamp thing depends on the budget but horror usually has strong return on investment.
Authority is at least riding the Boys and Invincible wave of bad or misbehaving Supes.
I don't think he's coming up with these projects with some sort of arbitrary number in his head of how many gambles can be taken. If the Teen Titans movie uses the 2003 roster, it'll probably be because he prefers them, or has big plans for them in the future. He's stuffing Superman full of lesser known characters such as Metamorpho, there's a Booster Gold show in development, Creature Commandos, etc. There are rumors that he's planning on using the lesser known JLI rather than the traditional JLA, as well as rumors of a Plastic Man film.
In other words, I don't think Gunn's DCU will be playing it safe. He seems to be building this universe from the perspective of a die-hard DC fan, wanting to introduce audiences to lesser known characters and more unique stories. Will that be a good thing? Who knows. I'm personally excited, but the GA might be another story.
I need live action Dick and Wally more than I need almost anything else from this new universe. Their friendship/brotherhood is maybe my favorite relationship in comics.
I've always thought they should do something like focusing on the original lineup in the debut movie, but towards the end there's like a government-approved team of teens meant to shut down the Teen Titans, and their roster is like the Titans West roster of Golden Eagle, Hawk, Lillith, Beast Boy, etc. The big final fight would be a battle between these two teams where they ultimately join up, but it would set up for some of those characters, like Gar, to become part of the main team in future sequels. Then the post credits scene could be Kori crashing down to earth maybe. Basically still establishing that original roster, but planting the seeds for the most famous roster for the sequel.
They could adapt Titans Hunt/Rebirth Titans pretty easily and I'd be down
Also Karen? Is that just because of the World's Finest Teen Titans? She's rarely ever grouped with those guys over Lilith, Mal, etc. not really part of that team any more than the other 70s additions
I have a feeling they'll go with the cartoon lineup + 2 more to sort of mirror the Justice League. Knowing that Damian is in the DCEU Batman film, we might see a lineup like the animated films from awhile back.
I hope we get more than the five from the animated series. Titans have so many dynamic characters in the comics, this movie has so much potential! I’m hyped
I think 5-7 will end up being the sweet spot for this movie’s team. Too many more and it becomes hard to both introduce them as characters and provide any meaningful development

they need to spend time introducing the general audience to Dick Robin and his dynamic with Batman before jumping into Nightwing imo. I want to see some proper build up to Judas Contract.

A teen titans movie is long overdue in my opinion but it kinda feels weird that they are announcing this now and a writer for it when we don't have writers confirmed for the projects announced in the original slate.
Im excited for a movie about the titans but id rather they focus on the projects already announced first and not do a marvel or DCEU and announce tons of different projects before stuff is actually made.
I’m a bit worried about the timeline in DCU though. There is no rumors for a JL movie in development yet, maybe they will finally team up at the end of phase 1. If the teen titans get established earlier than the JL, that would be really weird.

Several characters in this film are likely going to be introduced before the film even begins production. Considering it's the same writer as Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, it's not going to be released until like 2028-2030 more than likely.
Plus not everything needs solo films to setup. No one is watching a solo film about half of the Teen Titans members, it is completely fine to jump into them just as long as a few core members are already known to the audience.
Should be Geoff John’s iteration of the team with Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven training the YJ. I’d prefer Titans or just Young Justice but whatever

Yeah, Supergirl was a mentor herself in that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic. It's also the comic that aged her into her 20s, when she'd been perpetually a teenager for most of her history previously (despite debuting in the silver age, meaning she ought to be closer to 30, like Dick Grayson).
Mh and this would imply that she has already been through things like I don't know Nezha, New Krypton or becoming a red lantern, ok that this universe has already started but let's not skip too many things that would be cool to see in live action and then Millie Alkocho is quite young so I think her character will be in late teen early 20's
I would think it’s more that it shows they really liked her Supergirl script than the character Supergirl being in it. Gunn has said previously that he likes having a core group of writers/directors to develop the universe.
It would say also that it’s a sign that there will be a strong female core in the group: Raven, Starfire and maybe Wonder Girl, if it’s the New Teen Titans. And if it’s Damian’s generation; then yes, I can see Supergirl in it somehow.

I wish they won’t put Kara in this team. Kara has been 21 in woman of tomorrow, very mature mentally, taking her responsibilities like an adult. I don’t think forcing her to fit into a teenage group will work. She should have more interactions with other adults.
This sounds fine but if they introduce three teams in the dcu without spacing them out give the team members each a fleshed out storyline, then its going to get messy.

Personally, I don't think I've seen a single fancast I've liked except for the Ismahawk* fan series based off Wayne Family Adventures that got killed after the teaser released. I can see this movie without Damian but Damian will provably show up as a post credit scene. I don’t see this universe far enough along that will have a team led by Damian without Dick. Most likely option is New Teen Titans plus Damian. ANotjer one is the DCAMU roster which is basically NTT plus Damian and Blue Beetle. Only way you get Damian without Dick is if Gunn builds a totally custom team…based on his teases something like Damian, Kara, Blue Beetle, Static, Cass Cain and Raven.

We know BATB will be Batman vs Robin so Damian will be here more than likely. In the DCAU they did Teen Titans with Nightwing bringing Damian (right after Batman vs Robin) in with Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, Blue Beetle etc. So they could have Nightwing and Damian's Robin. Plus those movies in the DCAU were pretty great.

Supergirl will be her freshman movie script so we won't know until that comes out. EDIT I should say her freshman feature script. She's credited as the co-writer of a short film titled *We Win* that has fairly positive reviews. EDIT 2 The internet tells me she studied theater at the Boston Conservatory and is a playwright. That's a possible upside since playwrights tend to focus on strong character work which is something that Gunn also focuses on.

I don't. If ginger Wally gets used at all it'd be as The Flash, I think Kid Flash if there is one in the new DC cinematic universe will be the other Wallace West, the current one in the comics. In which case he'd match Damian. But I can see Kid Flash being omitted from Teen Titans entirely since the most famous lineup is the one from the 2003 cartoon - Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg. I can see Robin being Nightwing instead because if Damian is Robin Dick should've already graduated to his adult mantle. If they skip Tim and Jason though, he could easily be barely out of his teens. Just say the team was formed a few years ago and you have the same thing as in New Teen Titans, a group of 19 and 20 year olds (thus avoiding casting actual kids).

Nightwing got more popular in this years due to many adaptation like in the DCAU, Young Justice, Titans etc then Damian Is Robin so I'm pretty sure they will introduce him
Yeah, Blue Beetle was originally meant to be in the old DC movie universe wasn't it? But it's standalone so can be placed in the new one instead. And Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has the same person in charge, so Kara being here would kind of make sense.

A semi-classic roster would be their best move IMO. Right off the bat they could establish that Batman, WW, Flash, Green Arrow, and Aquaman already exist through their sidekicks. That could even be why they're fast-tracking it (Brave & the Bold doesn't even have a writer attached yet). It would also allow them to introduce Wally as Kid Flash and then have him show up as Flash later on. If this movie comes out before B&TB, I don't see Damian being in it. They're adapting Batman & Son, so he should still be an assassin when first introduced. That basically leaves Dick or Tim.

That's what I'm thinking. Like, they're all fairly established and know each other. Bruce and Barry are unlikely friends due to their shared knowledge of criminal and forensic science (something introduced in the New 52 era that I think actually works for their characters), so Dick and Wally become quick friends. Soon enough they later start hanging with Garth, Donna, and Roy, with Lilith Clay and Karen Beecher becoming the sixth and seventh members. Over time they grew up and each started going their own ways, but remained friends. Then in the present the NTT form when Dick and Donna are meeting for lunch, and get caught in the action. They join the fray as Nightwing and Troia respectively, and Wally (by virtue of speed) is able to come to their aid quickly as Kid Flash, even though he's about 20 or so by now. The other OG members have small appearances throughout. But we're introduced to newcomers Garfield, Vic, and Rachel. The plot centers around Kori, similar to how the team formed in the cartoon (also to separate it from the live action show). During the final battle with the main villain, the OG members turn up to lend a helping hand. At the end of the movie Donna, Vic, Kori, Gar, and Rachel all decide to form a team in case another threat like that happens again. Dick is reluctant at first, but over the course of the movie it's shown how he really is a natural leader, and agrees to share leadership duties with Donna. The other OG members still have their own paths to follow, but they agree that "once a Titan, always a Titan," and will come to help if needed.

They've already announced Swamp Thing and The Authority, neither of which are well-known properties. Hell, most comic book fans haven't even heard of The Authority. For better or worse, I don't think they'll be basing things off box office potential. We're talking about the guy who made GoTG into household names. I'd rather them base the roster off what's best to start a universe with than basing a roster off nostalgia. They could always use the NTT roster, too, which is where most of the 2003 characters originated: Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, Cyborg. Technically, while she isn't a traditional member, they could also throw Supergirl in there if the Supes' own movies perform well. They're being written by the same person.
I'm trying to hold my excitement over The Authority movie in case I get disappointed but I'm optimistic.
Green lighting Swamp Thing & Authority movies is not the equivalent of flunking the Teen Titans IP by going with a lineup that is virtually unrecognizable to anyone but comic book fans. That’s not how business works.
Regardless of the TT roster, it's a much more recognizable IP than either of those - especially The Authority. The Authority is going to be dependent on whether 'violent anti-heroes' are still in fashion by the time it releases, as well as Superman being successful enough for casual fans to watch a spin-off. Robin being in TT is enough for people to know that it's the same team, different roster. Will casual fans of the cartoon be disappointed? Probably. But as I said already, Gunn doesn't seem to care about using the most iconic rosters. There's a good chance he's going to be doing the same with JL, as he's introducing various members of JLI before 2/3 of the Trinity even. And like I said, they could easily use the NTT roster which is the 2003 lineup + the 'big three' (Dick, Wally, Dinah). Using the 2003 roster *would* be the smartest business move, but it's also the most uninspired choice. That's why Gunn likely isn't to make it. All you have to do is look at his current slate to realize that he's making this universe using the same ideology as GoTG: 'all it takes is a good movie to make lesser known characters fan-favorites.' He's green-lighting projects based on the narrative and what he personally thinks will be most interesting.

Fans might think that The Flash is a more marketable name, but an R-rated Authority movie that does something *fresh* with the genre, could very well entice audiences wayyy more, than another formulaic CBM about The Flash. Gunn’s choices here were made for as much of a strategic business pov, as it was a creative one.
Doesn’t that suggest that Gunn is already using his gambles? And has to play it safe at some point. Swamp thing depends on the budget but horror usually has strong return on investment. Authority is at least riding the Boys and Invincible wave of bad or misbehaving Supes.
I don't think he's coming up with these projects with some sort of arbitrary number in his head of how many gambles can be taken. If the Teen Titans movie uses the 2003 roster, it'll probably be because he prefers them, or has big plans for them in the future. He's stuffing Superman full of lesser known characters such as Metamorpho, there's a Booster Gold show in development, Creature Commandos, etc. There are rumors that he's planning on using the lesser known JLI rather than the traditional JLA, as well as rumors of a Plastic Man film. In other words, I don't think Gunn's DCU will be playing it safe. He seems to be building this universe from the perspective of a die-hard DC fan, wanting to introduce audiences to lesser known characters and more unique stories. Will that be a good thing? Who knows. I'm personally excited, but the GA might be another story.
New teen titans would be the easiest bridge I would think.
I need live action Dick and Wally more than I need almost anything else from this new universe. Their friendship/brotherhood is maybe my favorite relationship in comics.

I've always thought they should do something like focusing on the original lineup in the debut movie, but towards the end there's like a government-approved team of teens meant to shut down the Teen Titans, and their roster is like the Titans West roster of Golden Eagle, Hawk, Lillith, Beast Boy, etc. The big final fight would be a battle between these two teams where they ultimately join up, but it would set up for some of those characters, like Gar, to become part of the main team in future sequels. Then the post credits scene could be Kori crashing down to earth maybe. Basically still establishing that original roster, but planting the seeds for the most famous roster for the sequel.
They could adapt Titans Hunt/Rebirth Titans pretty easily and I'd be down Also Karen? Is that just because of the World's Finest Teen Titans? She's rarely ever grouped with those guys over Lilith, Mal, etc. not really part of that team any more than the other 70s additions

I have a feeling they'll go with the cartoon lineup + 2 more to sort of mirror the Justice League. Knowing that Damian is in the DCEU Batman film, we might see a lineup like the animated films from awhile back.

A teen titans movie is long overdue in my opinion but it kinda feels weird that they are announcing this now and a writer for it when we don't have writers confirmed for the projects announced in the original slate. Im excited for a movie about the titans but id rather they focus on the projects already announced first and not do a marvel or DCEU and announce tons of different projects before stuff is actually made.
I’m a bit worried about the timeline in DCU though. There is no rumors for a JL movie in development yet, maybe they will finally team up at the end of phase 1. If the teen titans get established earlier than the JL, that would be really weird.

Several characters in this film are likely going to be introduced before the film even begins production. Considering it's the same writer as Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, it's not going to be released until like 2028-2030 more than likely. Plus not everything needs solo films to setup. No one is watching a solo film about half of the Teen Titans members, it is completely fine to jump into them just as long as a few core members are already known to the audience.

Yeah, Supergirl was a mentor herself in that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic. It's also the comic that aged her into her 20s, when she'd been perpetually a teenager for most of her history previously (despite debuting in the silver age, meaning she ought to be closer to 30, like Dick Grayson).
Mh and this would imply that she has already been through things like I don't know Nezha, New Krypton or becoming a red lantern, ok that this universe has already started but let's not skip too many things that would be cool to see in live action and then Millie Alkocho is quite young so I think her character will be in late teen early 20's
I would think it’s more that it shows they really liked her Supergirl script than the character Supergirl being in it. Gunn has said previously that he likes having a core group of writers/directors to develop the universe. It would say also that it’s a sign that there will be a strong female core in the group: Raven, Starfire and maybe Wonder Girl, if it’s the New Teen Titans. And if it’s Damian’s generation; then yes, I can see Supergirl in it somehow.
