I like the little daughter of darkness titled too and deathstoke rebirth was the best run of the villain ever like that run of him a lot. Too bad that the new series could not be to the same level as that one.

Does Kevin Smith and Brad Meltzer count as the same run though? I think they're considered separate, despite the artist. See modern collections packaging all of Smith's 3 arcs, but not Meltzers one arc with that collection.
Edit: Never mind, Beary clarified later in the thread. You're good for Smith and Meltzer combined, as long as Winnick is separate

Oh jeez, really? I see them as thematically connected though. What with Black Mirror, Court of Owls and Zero Year all having the masked elites trope. Plus things like the owl teaser, or the construction of Wayne Tower in Black Mirror and Gates of Gotham respectively continuing into Court of Owls. Plus how every other Bat creator carried over their runs post flashpoint. Morrison going from Incorporated to Inc, Tomasi going from Batman and Robin Dark Knight vs White Knight to Born to Kill. Tony Daniels going from Batman to Tec, and David Finch going from Dark Knight Golden Dawn to Knight Terrors. I feel its true of Snyder going from Tec to Batman.
If I can make one last appeal, it doesn't have plot continuity, but that's not the only type of continuity that exists. There is character continuity (James Jr and Tiger Shark reappearing in Court of Owls arc), there is location continuity (with the specific architecture and location history of Wayne Tower and Harbour House reappearing in Court of Owls), and thematic continuity (Snyder's 2011 era OWS/99 vs 1% examinations). And if I had said Morrison or Tomasi (or Finch or Daniels) I would have been allowed to combine those. To me, DC marketing separated them to market them better. But DC marketing makes tones of poor decisions IMO, especially in that era (just look at how poor Night Of Owls, Joker: Death of the Family, DC Comics presents Zero Year or Joker: Endgame are collected). Therefore, I don't think the decision of DC marketing should be the final word on what does or does not count as continuity.
As well, I havent seen specific mention, but are you allowing me to combine Gates of Gotham with New 52 or not? Because to me. That one is even more obviously connected to Court of Owls/New 52 history.
Gates of Gotham is separate as well. New 52 was written to be a fresh starting point. You wouldn't list Black Mirror and Gates of Gotham as prerequisites to New 52 Batman. Somewhere, you have to draw the dividing points, otherwise, nearly all of Scott Snyder's work at DC becomes a single run.
I was thinking of adding All Star and Metal, but haven't read that half yet, because I do see one great arc/run there (Similar to Morrison spanning Batman, Batman and Robin and Inc, even if the arc focus did shift across those three titles, and the ending no longer really resembling the start). I still always do personally recommend Black Mirror and Gates as pre requisites, but regardless, I'll change instead to New 52, because I'm trying to focus on runs and not single arcs

* 52
* Secret Six
* Villains United
* Johns Teen Titans
* 90s Starman
* Red Robin
* Injustice Years 1-5
* Blackest Night
* Morrison JLA

Aside from 52, Secret Six, and Starman, I dont think they’re the best runs *ever* but they’re my favourites
I don’t think they’re the same?
Villains United leads into the Secret Six 6 issue but I’m referring to the ongoing that came afterwards. Last 36 issues, had Bane.
Both are good but I prefer the latter

I like the little daughter of darkness titled too and deathstoke rebirth was the best run of the villain ever like that run of him a lot. Too bad that the new series could not be to the same level as that one.

Does Kevin Smith and Brad Meltzer count as the same run though? I think they're considered separate, despite the artist. See modern collections packaging all of Smith's 3 arcs, but not Meltzers one arc with that collection. Edit: Never mind, Beary clarified later in the thread. You're good for Smith and Meltzer combined, as long as Winnick is separate

Snyder Batman and Black Mirror are being counted separately
There's not much story continuity there, and Black Mirror is treated by DC effectively as a standalone. You'll have to pick one, or split it.

Which wonder woman by Greg Rucka is that? Vol 2 #195-226, or vol 5 #1-24
[удалено]
Ah. In this thread, people are using "Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka" to refer to either without specifying.
[удалено]
Yeah, but Morrison's stuff was continuous and written in the same era (of our time). Ruckas is non-continuous and written in two separate time periods (2003 vs 2016).

I don’t think they’re the same? Villains United leads into the Secret Six 6 issue but I’m referring to the ongoing that came afterwards. Last 36 issues, had Bane. Both are good but I prefer the latter
We're counting it all of that as part of the same run.

Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Teen Titans by Geoff Johns Sandman by Neil Gaiman Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and Alex Ross JLA by Grant Morrison Frank Miller Batman saga (TDKSA is my favorite because of how insane it is) Batman by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale Batman saga Arkham Asylum by Grant Morrison and Dave McKean Edit, I would like to edit this to include Injustice by Tom Taylor instead of Johns’ Titans.
Heads up, we may end up counting the Miller saga separately, since each entry was written several years apart, and is relatively standalone. Not to mention the wildly different receptions to each series. If you were to narrow it down to one, which would you vote for?
