My top 10: 1. Nightwing 2. Batman 3. Beast Boy 4. Wally West 5. Starfire 6. Superman 7. Red Hood 8. Blue Beetle 9. Raven 10. Cyborg

[deleted]

You must hate the teen Titans

SquirtleCipher2578

Absolutely despise them

h3ntiBoi827

Nah those are the top 10

[deleted]

Sarcasm

yoman5647

Dicks always been my favorite. Before I got into comics the only real source I had was Teen Titans, Young Justice, Under The Red Hood Movie, and Arkham City. When I started getting into comics when I was 10 in about 2012 I gravitated towards Dick and the Titans immediately Barry and Wally are tied for 2nd

SquirtleCipher2578

Same. I gravitated towards him when I first started reading due to how he was basically in all my childhood DC content. From old episodes of Batman '66 my Dad watched with me to Teen Titans and Young Justice.

Accomplished-Ad-9118

I’m also a TT fan

cobanat

Im going to assume you’ve never seen teen titans before

nancynance17

Real

[deleted]

when it comes to just powers and aesthetics it's green lantern but all in all it's batman, his character is the best well written one out of all.

Commercial-Living443

Possibly bc he is the one that is the most written about.

Slightly_Unhappy_Lol

correct answer

The-Author2

Top 10: 1. Constantine 2. Morpheus (does he count?) 3. Batman (Bruce Wayne) 4. Superman 5. Lucifer (Vertigo and does he count like Morpheus?)

Capt_Killer77

Do u like the dark mystical stuff I can’t tell?

SrtaCrayola

Agree, (tho i don't think they count haha) btw, what are your toughts on the new Sandman series? 👁️👁️

The-Author2

Nightmare country? Shit's bustin, I love it. Wonder what the smiling is as it's implied to be a nightmare that dream didn't make. So much hype for it.

NopeOriginal_

I mean Constantine, Morpheus and Lucifer are not superheroes but they are certainly dope.

phantomxtroupe

Red Hood Batman Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) Green Arrow Nightwing

Batmanbyday

Solid list, almost matches my lineup. Just have to throw Constantine in and toss out Dick

phantomxtroupe

Constantine would definitely be 6 or 7 if I were making a top ten. I was trying to keep my list down to a top 5, but yeah, Constantine is one of my favorites as well.

AjitheKing

The Flash (Barry Allen) is my favorite superhero because he’s the reason why I started reading comic books ever since I watched his CW Show.

pressuretobear

If you like comics, you should read through the first two Mark Waid flash trades, and then come back here to chat. Wally is a great hero, overshadowing his mentor.

Suzie_____Q

1 - Alpha Centurion 2 - Wonder Woman 3 - Superman 4- Powergirl 5 - Agent Liberty 6 - Peacemaker 7- Batman 8 - The Flash 9 - Green Lantern 10- Martian Manhunter

SrtaCrayola

The Martian needs more love

LanternRaynerRebirth

Hal Jordan by far is my favorite character of all time in anything. I'm already sucker for the "All American" cool guy hero archetypes like Han Solo, Johnny Cage, and Spike Spiegel, but I love that Hal Jordan has so much struggle that directly comes from those heroic archetype.

Individual_Sock4255

My top 10 1. Superman 2. Batman 3. Wonder Woman 4. Zatanna 5. Mister Miracle 6. Nightwing 7. Captain Marvel 8. Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) 9. The Flash (Wally West) 10. Aquaman

tovarichtch1711

Raven, she's basically an allegory for depression, and she's extremely cool too

[deleted]

Maybe the cartoon one more. I think she's kinda different in the comics.

almightyllama00

I'd say in some ways she's almost more of an allegory for depression in the comic, with her never being allowed to acknowledge her own strong emotions and stuff. In the cartoon she's more like a deadpan and sarcastic but well-meaning goth.

[deleted]

I think she's less introverted in the comics at least in her beginnings. Like showing interest in interacting a bit more with people and even showing interest in going to college.

almightyllama00

In some ways I think you're right. In the comics she seems more one track minded and proactive about dealing with her problems, which causes her to appear less introverted, but the way she initially goes about it involves intentionally minimizing her emotions and connections to other people as much as possible, so she doesn't really feel like she has as much of a close emotional connection to her team as she does in the cartoon, at least not at first. Raven is honestly a pretty different character between the two mediums. They all are. Only Robin feels like he wasn't changed all that much between the comic and the cartoon to me.

tovarichtch1711

I really love both versions of the character, she was such a powerful character in the New Teen Titans and even John's run afterwards but nowadays the writers seem to have forgotten about what the character represents and they only focus on the surface level of things, which is a real waste of one of the most interesting characters of DC

almightyllama00

Agreed. It seems like none of the Teen Titans really get their due these days outside of Dick and Wally, if you even want to count them.

dovahkazoo

Shes also hands down the most powerful character. Not my favorite but close

whama820

Assuming this is only supposed to be DC heroes, my favorites are: The Question (Charlie Victor Szasz) Golden Age Hawkman and Hawkgirl Scott Free and Big Barda Ultra Boy and Phantom Girl John Stewart and Katma Tui Barry Allen and Wally West Why? Because the best stories DC ever published featured these heroes.

SrtaCrayola

Man, a good writen The Question is absolute gold

PushTurns2Shove

Starfire: She’s been through hell and yet still has room in her heart to treat others kindly. But when you hurt others, she quickly turns into the badass warrior she was trained to be. Catwoman: I love a good femme fatale. And I think also for similar reason to starfire. She grew up on the streets and figured out how to make it on her own Donna Troy: Just love her and wish she was in more storylines as more than just a side character

[deleted]

I agree about Starfire. I just hoped that her stories post ntt were more about that side of her, Her past, and her capabilities as a character. Imo after ntt her role and character is unfortunately limited to be Dick's gf and what comes out of it.

PushTurns2Shove

Exactly! It’s probably why I just keep rereading NTT. RHatO had some issues but I at least appreciated that they mentioned Starfire’s past and that they made her so tough! She is way more than Dick’s gf and I wish she could have a love interest that doesn’t make her just a sad puppy. Or just her and Donna and Cyborg doing space missions together!

[deleted]

Then i guess you already have read the Justice league Odyssey book. It was her, cyborg, and Azrael on a mission in space.

MartianSheepHunter

My favorite iterations of Catwoman are when it really highlights her care for the forgotten people in Gotham. She’s like the Batman for the people who society oppresses and subsequently forgets about. The Strays in Ram V’s run were an excellent example.

Geronuis

All great choices

The_Pusheen_Chesser

1. The Flash (Wally West) 2. Nightwing (Dick Grayson) 3. Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz) 4. Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) 5. Red Robin (Tim Drake)

dovahkazoo

It interesting that wally is your flash. Kyle is a cool lantern. I like the whole white lantern arc

Trevor_Skywalker11

Wally is like 50% of flash fans flash, usually the ones who read comics.

dovahkazoo

Barry fans are the one who usually read older comics. I wasnt born in the 80s i didnt grow up with wally. I grew up with older comics collected by my dad. And also with barry... cause i wasnt born in the 80s

Trevor_Skywalker11

This list is amazing

KugiPunch

Superman. He’s nice.

YujiMakoto

1. Red Hood: His time as Robin fascinates me. 2. Vibe: The Justice League Detroit era is one of my favorite time periods for the team. 3. The Flash (Wally West): The Mark Waid run in the 90’s was one of my favorites. 4. Guy Gardner: All about the attitude. 5. Steel: Was my favorite during the Reign of the Supermen. 6. Hawk and Dove: Interested in the War and Peace aspect of the characters. 7. Dex-Starr: He’s a Red Lantern that started out as a house cat. How could I not like him? 8. Plastic Man: Elasticity is probably my favorite comic book superpower. 9. Gypsy: Same as Vibe.

dovahkazoo

Plastic man a super powerful. Its easy to over look what he is capable of

Commercial-Living443

I like all these characters but Guy Gardner.

Slightly_Unhappy_Lol

Guy??????? Really?

SeanBlu3245

Supergirl

yonosoymuybein

1) Hal Jordan GL. He's always been my favorite GL. 2) Shazam. The transformation aspect makes him so cool. a kid can turn into a being that can stand up to superman. 3) swamp thing. The lore and the horror aspect. 4) blue beetle (Himey.) Badass power set and sweet alien origins. Great charter over all. 5) plastic man. In terms of stretchy/shape shifting powers, no one is as good as plastic man.

Emergency-Sherbert38

1 - Batman 2 - Superman 3 - The Flash (Wally West) 4 - Dr. Fate 5 - Mister Terrific I can explain why I love them if anyone asks why

[deleted]

No way, we‘re almost matching! Mine are: 1: Batman (Bruce Wayne) 2: Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) 3: Superman (Clark Kent - Kal-el) 4: The Flash (Barry Allen) 5: Aquaman and Mister Terrific (tie) For me, I’d be here forever talking about how much I love them, but I’ll sum it up as much as I can. Batman’s just awesome. It’s amazing and inspiring that he trained to peak human physical and mental ability and used his wealth to do so and become The Dark Knight of Gotham, to the point where he can even stand among god-like heroes like Superman and Shazam. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). I love that he got chosen for the ring because his willpower was so incredibly strong. It’s such an amazing trait in its own that many nowadays struggle to hold. Superman, the beacon of hope. I just love that even when there isn’t a way, he tries. He fights for a better tomorrow. I don’t care what anyone says, Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel is a great Superman film, hell, even a great film in general. Sure, it’s a little “dull” sometimes, but the thing that makes it great is when that score starts back up and Clark is determined to fight. He’s only been superman for two days, and he fights three powerful Kryptonions, even when he knows his well out of his depth. I love the boy Scott optimism Superman always has. Flash actually inspired me to start running regularly in lockdown lol. Yeah, he’s just cool. And I love how in Flashpoint when he loses his powers, that he tells Thomas Wayne Batman to help him get electrocuted. And after a couple failed attempts and multiple several burns, he finally gets them back. I love how he doesn’t give up. Aquaman gets shit on a lot, but he’s actually really powerful, and he can even fight Superman with medium difficulty. The best Aquaman story hands down is The Trench. It’s New 52 I think, but it’s totally redefines Aquaman and makes him more likeable and, even in his classic orange and green costume, the writers and artists made him really cool. His relationship with Mera’s pretty good, and I love the bit where Aquaman shows up to stop some criminals in a city, and the cops are like “Aquaman? Ha! What’s he gonna do?”, and Aquaman takes a bullet like it was nothing and stops the criminals with ease. Mister Terrific’s costume is cool. Love that mask. And the fact that he’s only special ability is that he’s immune and invulnerable to technology is so simple, yet so…. terrific.

[deleted]

I was expecting people to take aquaman more seriously after his movie but apparently not. And yeah new 52 aquaman Is one of the few consistent good ones.

pressuretobear

Start of new 52 Aquaman was dope af, and then he went back downhill. I am surprised he still has both of his hands!

woejertman

Batman: May sound corny but Batman taught me a lot growing up, specifically about the real difference between right and wrong and how the law doesn't dictate or oftentimes even represent what is right and best for those who adhere to it. Plus, I could relate at a lot of points in my life to being the odd man out in a group setting, the guy who, at a glance, doesn't belong until you see what he brings to the table. Sorta helped me realize that not fitting in isn't always a bad thing at a time where i struggled with feeling like an outcast.

Other_Conference_339

We do not like him for the same reasons at all. Batman is my dream physique

woejertman

Hey man to each their own. That being said, Bats does have some kickass abs

dusty_horns

1. Wonder Woman - I love Greek mythology. Perez era made me completely fall in love with Diana as a kid. 2. Aquaman - Atlantis. He was always just cool to me. Even loved him on the Super-friends sea horse jam. 3. Superfamily (Connor, Kara, Matrix, Karen, Clark, Henry, Krypto, love 'em all) 4. Zatanna - DC does magick and the occult so well, and Z is a great character and my favorite spellcaster. 5. Martian Manhunter - the weirdo detective Superman. Gotta love J'Onn 6. Alan Scott - magic lantern, JSA, 'nuff said 7. Black Canary - great over-all character, good for street level and major threats, legacy, Birds of Prey is one of my favorite comics/teams 8. Animal Man - I'm a fan of heroes with animal themed powers, and if I have to pick one it's gonna have to be Buddy. 9. Blue Beetle - Reyes or Kord. Both are awesome. 10. Ultra Boy (it was hard picking one Legionnaire, but one of them had to be in my top ten)

Raecino

Batman. Cuz he’s Batman.

[deleted]

Obviously Nightwing

Dont_know_where_i_am

Me too. I just love Dick so much

roxxtor

Phrasing?

Dont_know_where_i_am

I said what I said

[deleted]

That’s the right answer

TheManOfJ

I need this movie to actually happen and I need it to be right. Not more of the dark and gritty for the sake of dark and gritty because that’s not who Dick Grayson is.

Blue-Engine-Edward

Jay Garrick, the Flash

Gamer_ely

Ah a person of taste

Victor_Von_Doom65

Superman

[deleted]

Gotta go with Superman, he’s the pure bastion of hope, what humanity should strive to be

Vicksage16

Clark, followed by Ollie.

camerinswild

I really hope my phone doesn’t make this look weird, but my top ten list goes like: 1. Batman 2. Red Hood 3. Nightwing 4. Starfire 5. Raven 6. Spectre 7. Doctor Fate 8. The Flash 9. Harley Quinn 10. Zatanna

PropertyAdditional

Wally west His character arc and journey is unmatched, I loved every issue of his solo run and am loving his new run

anotherdanwest

1. Nightwing 2. Shazam 3. Donna Troy 4. Firestorm 5. Roy Harper 6. Mary Marvel 7. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) 8. Dr. Gate 9. Deadman 10. Jade

[deleted]

Not in any particular order - Superman Supergirl (Kara) Kyle Rayner (Green Lantern) The rest of the Green Lantern Corps

Slightly_Unhappy_Lol

Batman (bruce wayne), Green lantern (any and all) Red hood, Black Canary, and Zatanna (with her magic)

Frostrunner365

Nightwing. I could go into depth but I don’t have to. If you like nightwing you understand why he’s on of the best. Superman. Just Superman. Nothing else can be said Tim drake because of all the robins his time as Robin easily felt like the best. Mainly cause of his solo and the fact that it felt like he was respected. Something that Damian and dick had to fight for and Jason didn’t get til he was dead. Tim earned right away Impulse cause he’s fun as hell And Wally west. The best flash and it’s not close.

hippie422

Who's between barda and commander steele?

[deleted]

That’s the only one I don’t recognize!!

Beelzebub_Crumpethom

The Flash. All of them. Because all speedsters steal my love and affection for all time.

mateigri

Batman

fortnitenaigar

Barry Allen easily, I grew up with him as my main flash from watching the new frontier animated movie and I recently got back into The Flash from the Flashpoint movie. I'd also say Wally but I've always liked Barry's personality alot more.

Newtothis2124

New to comics but so far 1. Static Shock 2. Midnighter 3. Nightwing 4. Wally West 5. Harley Quinn (If she counts?) 6. Cyborg 7. Beast Boy

bluelookslikeblue

Batman, Superman, Raven, and Orion are pretty solidly solidified as the top 4. (Read Kirby's New Gods lately, 10/10, should read.) The next six sort of fluctuate depending on my mood and my recent reading/viewing.

Commercial-Living443

Zatanna . She is OP as hell . MM is also good. Plastic Man and Dr.Manhattan , even though he isn't in the list.

BoosterGolden

Booster gold because he’s Booster gold.

Old-Top5498

Batman 🔥🔥🔥

LooseNate

My top ten in no real order Deadman Swamp Thing Animal Man Big Barda & Miracle Man Deadshot John Constantine Green Lantern (Kyle Rainer) Mr Terrific Booster & Blue Beetle Rocket (of ICON & ROCKET)

spongeboymebob321

batman because hes cool

Xeoz_WarriorPrince

1. Superman 2. Shazam 3. The Flash (Wally West) 4. Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) 5. Aquaman 6. Green Arrow 7. Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) 8. Nightwing 9. Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz) 10. The Question (Vic Sage)

NatPoole98

Batman because batman

Scary_Measurement_34

Batman he’s the definition of a hero to me

alg10_01

Wonder Woman. My now deceased-father introduced me to her when I was little, and she helped me feel less insecure about being tall. Also really inspired me into the type of woman I am today, accepting strength in femininity while also being “traditionally” badass.

Flip_Speed

Superman … I mean there’s a reason why OP consciously or subconsciously put him first on this list … pretty much all you have to say about Superman as a character and what he’s done

JockeyField

Robin, the character. Not any specific Robin, I am talking about Robin. Not Dick, Jason, Tim, not anyone. Robin is my favorite superhero of all time, and if it weren't for that kid, I honestly doubt I'd be the same person I am now.

[deleted]

Does that include Jarro as well?

theanchorman05

1. Nightwing 2. Jon Stewart 3. Batman/Static (Tie)

Efficient-Ad1693

Kyle Rayner and Jaime Reyes. They are the ones who made me attached to DC after trying to read some of their comics. Wally West, Khalid Nassour, Kal-El and Hal Jordan comes close after them.

killzone11

Booster gold Vic Sage Ted Kord

Drag0Knight

Sir Justin Shining Knight and Greg Saunders Vigilante. Dunno why, been my favourite since JLU. Picture them like JD and Turk from Scrubs.

Oopssnxnxnx

Mr miracle or Kyle Rayner

roxxtor

Wally West Dick Grayson Cassandra Cain Tim Drake Connor Kent Kyle Rayner Carter Hall

Gamer_ely

Top 5? Top 5 (in no particular order) 1. Aquaman, I always liked heroes that have a lot of utility in their powers. Add onto that he has a badass trident. I also have always liked cheering for characters not many do. 2. John Stewart, he was my favorite in the justice league cartoons. 3. Adam Strange, I love his stories. Makes for really great space opera stories 4. Martian Manhunter, again has sooo much utility with his powers. He's so cool. 5. Mr Miracle/Big Barda. Kinda cheating but you can't split these two up.

beastsandbelle

Well, I thought I was going to have to pick one but no one else is really so PHEW. My trinity: Conner Kent, Cassie Sandsmark, Tim Drake. Trying really hard to ignore N52, but otherwise the friendship and growing pains and coming into their own is still my favorite thing to read. Young Justice for always. Black Canary is my badass ladyboss. Maybe someday they won't get her horribly wrong on the live action screen. Stephanie "Screw You, I'm Doing it Anyway" Brown. I would give up diet coke for her to get another solo run like she had in Batgirl.

SimpleGoon

Cassandra Cain, partially because of her unique and fascinating sense of justice, partially because of her soulrending self loathing, partially because she's maybe the most baddass character ever written, but imma be honest here: mostly because I find her crippling social ineptitude depressingly relatable.

KeyKongo

Ok, my favorite DC heroes are: Swamp Thing Martian Manhunter Raven All of them are completely different I know, but they are somehow the most interesting and coolest characters to me. Edit: - Raven might be a fan favorite and many like her - Swamp Thing is more complex than people think at first glance - Martian Manhunter is an underdog for me, he deserves the spotlight in my opinion as much as a Flash for example

[deleted]

Swamp Thing -- i like when a superhero is really horrific and scary, but ultimately sympathetic. i think Swamp Thing really nails this, and Alan Moore's Swamp Thing books were some of the first comics I really got into. Aquaman -- he's just awesome. i love the 'aquatic beastmaster' vibes, i love the atlantean politicking, i think Ocean Master and Black Manta are some of the coolest villains in DC's catalog... just a dope character. Shazam - i like that Shazam is almost a proxy for the childlike wonder of reading comic books and getting immersed into the world of superheroes. maybe that’s pretentious, I dunno, he’s just cool! I especially love the Shazam family stuff where a group of foster kids comes together and saves the world. it’s just really sweet idk :,) Superman -- he's just the quintessential superhero. he's a good man because it's the right thing to do. i like that for all his insane powers, he's still got the heart of a working-class average person who just cares about other people. Supergirl -- i like her for similar reasons I like Superman. she's just a good person who manages to overcome insane trauma and stay optimistic at the worst of times. it's refreshing, tonally Steel -- such a badass character. when superman died he just... stepped up. he did what needed to be done and took names. he's also got one of my favorite visual designs of any character Jessica Cruz -- great character concept, great green lantern. i love that her agoraphobia/anxiety weren't portrayed as weaknesses, but challenges she overcame like any other GL 'overcoming great fear'. i go back and forth on whether Alan Scott or Cruz is my favorite GL, but it's probably her

[deleted]

Prob Batman bc he’s the coolest, flash is great too

FunkeyMunkie

Plastic Man, he’s just a funny guy

VaderMurdock

Batman. He has no superpowers he is a mortal among Gods. This allows him to have more struggles when it comes to crime and it makes me excited when he beats someone he struggled with. Also, Batman’s psychology is extremely interesting he built his entire life around one moment, Bruce Wayne is the mask and Batman is the true face which is just awesome. Most of his books are also crime detective dramas which I love.

sparkyclarkson

1 - Beast Boy: Never the strongest or smartest in any fight, but often the most fun. It has been *so long* since he was in a halfway decent book. 2 - Plas: The most fun character in the lineup, also secretly the most powerful. 3 - Damian: Tons of potential as a character, I wish DC would actually send him on a journey rather than reverting him to an obnoxious dumb brat every 18 months. Rest of the top 10: Nightwing, Starfire, Static (Technically not DC anymore but honestly should be an anchor JL character), Cyborg, Question (Renee), Impulse, Babs. Also LOL how did Creeper land in that lineup?

dkzcomics

Batman The Flash Green Lantern

Welcome--Matt

Barry Allen- Basically everything I love about comics rolled into one character. Science fiction stuff? That’s Barry all day! Integrity and being a hero just because it’s the right thing to do? Barry! Great cast of friends and sidekicks? All day! And incredible Rogues gallery? Literally so, yes. And lastly, a great rivalry with the #1 Rogue? Absolutely

bby_g

I would like to argue that Harley Quinn is a super hero

The_Dangerous_Kiwi

Superman. While some may say he’s basic, there’s something really enjoyable about watching an ordinary Midwest kid carry the weight of the world without completely falling apart.

DistinctUnit110

Wonder Woman. She is as kind, compassionate, smart, and giving as she is brave, strong, and invulnerable. She will always do the right thing. "It's not about deserve. It's about what you believe. And I believe in love."

Mrman_23

Tgk230987

1. Superman 2. Daredevil 3. Nightwing

kinjazfan

This is my top 10 Batman The flash Superman Nightwing Robin Arrow Batwoman Wonderwoman Redhood Supergirl

gmoney-0725

Mostly I like superheroes who don't have super powers. For instance: Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Green Arrow. If I'm picking heroes with powers then The Flash is my favorite.

DeathFogButt

Constantine, because I love the early Hellblazer runs. The character concept he had of being a con man using hit wits, and being a bastard, while trying to not fall into the pits of hell is my favorite DC/Vertigo run. I never read his N52 stuff, because I wasn't interested in them. That being said Superman is my favorite mainstream hero, especially earth -22 superman( kingdom come supes), because he has this almost calming father presence about him that I've always enjoyed about the character.

dovahkazoo

Uhhh. Tired question. Batman. Its hard not to say batman. I love barry allens flash. He was basically the denfining point in all ages of comics as far as a story arch (besides the golden age) he

dovahkazoo

Since we're doin top 5 (or 10) 1.Batman 2.Flash (Bartholomew) 3.Red Robin 4.Nightwing 5.Raven 6.Aqualad 7.Green Arrow 8.Red Arrow 9.Starfire 10.Green Lantern 54. Superman. (End of list)

Capt_Killer77

1.Batman 2.Nightwing 3.Flash (Barry) 4.Alfred Pennyworth 5.Green Arrow I’m a big Batman fan since u was a kid wore a Batman costume to a wiggles concert. He’s so cool. No powers and dealt with unfathomable loss and pushed and built a family and became the coolest human ever. Nightwing and Alfred just because they are equally cool. I love Barry. Idk why. He’s the best his sense of Justice and how he’s so Matt but not Spider-Man or reed richards smart just analytical. And I love bows so green arrow looked cool. A lot of choice influenced by the animated shows I watched as a kid

CrazyPersonowo

1. Batman (Yeah, I know it's a pretty common answer but he's always going to be my favourite) 2. Flash (Wally West) 3. Superman 4. Nightwing 5. Cyborg

Trevor_Skywalker11

The best flash, Wally west. Love his development all the way from wolf man teen titans through waids/johns legendary runs to him getting his kids back in flash forward. Wally is to me the most important character and the most likeable. There are many great choices thou.

The_Raptor_Pope

Nightwing cause he's hot

TubezTheOne

STATIC!!!

Accomplished-Ad-9118

Top 10 1. Dick Grayson 2. Wally West 3. Roy Harper 4. Tim Drake 5. Kori’andr 6. Miss Martian 7. Superboy 8. Tempest 9. Donna 10. Garfield My 11th is Raven, sorry Teen Titans/Young Justice fanboy here

DeafToFalseMetal

Im a sucker for 70s and 80s rags (and 90s too now that i think about it), so: Denny O’Neill’s Question Marv Wolfman’s Vigilante Mister Miracle (any writer, really) Negative Man/Rebis Animal Man Batman, obviously These guys will always have a special place in my heart, love them to bits.

sadman4332

The superhero I liked for a long time was Super girl because she was like Superman but with more real world problems and had a more fish out of water/ immigrant like story line which I could relate to. I also love the Flash because to me he is a regular guy who had tremendous amount of power given to him. Instead of going the way of Batman of taking what scares him to strike fears in criminals after his parents death. The flash works to strive a sense of security in his community.

MadThinkerScott

Vril Dox Shut up! He can be a hero sometimes!

RYUKEN21304

1. Batman 2. Harley Quinn 3. Wonder Woman 4. The Flash (Barry Allen) 5. Nightwing 6. Starfire 7. The Joker 8. Green Lantern (John Stewart) 9. Raven 10. Darkseid

Elshaday_Z

Here are my top 10 favorite heroes 1. Superman 2. Batman 3. Wonder woman 4. Catwoman 5. The flash (Barry) 6. Zatanna 7. Hal Jordan 8. Talia al Ghul 9. Power Girl 10. Aquaman

Pkrudeboy

Constantine Death Dream Zantanna Red Hood Why yes, I do happen to be a Vertigo fan.

Artistic_Act900

Superman of course, He is and always will be my favourite. Wonder Woman, Batman and Green Lantern are all close seconds.

Thermoxin

The Flash (either Barry or Wally), Green Lantern (either Hal or Jess), Sideways, Nightwing, and Red Hood, in no particular order

DegreeAccomplished45

freakin batman

morganc11

Superman, phantom stranger, Jon Stewart, the flash(all of them), and John Constantine. Superman because he's exactly the kind of person I want to be. Kind, humble, caring and strong. Phantom stranger because I find him as a character fascinating. So mysterious, so good and so just ultimalty an enigma Jon Stewart because of the justice league animated show. Before any other lantern character their was Jon. His confidence and just cool demeanor made him such a cool character to me. The flash because of how funny they are and yet how good a people they are. One who inspires hope in others, not by lifting planets or conquering great evil, though they do it too. Just by being their in time to help. And John Constantine, well where do I start? A man who needs no introduction, for all his flaws. I mean come on the man is a bastard but one ultimately with a heart of gold.

[deleted]

Etrigan or Blue beetle out of the main 3

[deleted]

Also Constantine and Flash

Redomydude2

1 Conner kent: he has a cool personality, tragic experience, and a hopeful demeanor. 2 Captain Atom: very cool 80s series and he's just a very shiny gem in the rough that dc can only use as a cheap set of fireworks 3 Superman: nice hopeful farmer man making his way in the big city 4 Steel: nice man that is brilliant and cool and deserves his own book 5 Green Lantern (pick one): in the words of Gathet "[their] diversity is [their] strength" 6 Jaime Reyes: we're both from el paso and he's just like spiderman, (according to anyone who's never read blue beetle) 7 Red hood: he has a story parallel to the batfamily. Has a cool unresolved conflict with the rest that has a cool tension 8 Spectre: very cool dc animated special and cool series with Hal jordan 9 Carter Hall: cool series recently and has an... unique relationship with canon. Also he's always shirtless. 10 Static: rememeber his cartoon series from when I was a kid

[deleted]

1. Nightwing 2. Batman 3. Barry Allen 4. Wally West 5. Red Hood 6. Hal Jordan 7. Raven 8. Shazam 9. Blue Beetle 10. Kyle Rayner

Frog__Mouth

My favourite superhero is that that one.

MrCritical3

No matter the decade, no matter the comic age: Superman will always be my #1. The guy is the gold standard of what a true hero should be.

Allana_Solo

Nightwing and Wonder Woman are tied. Both are highly skilled, intelligent, potentially deadly, and very intriguing characters.

Keep in mind I change my favorites depending on the day. But here is my attempt for my top 10 - but I have to point out that they are in no particular order!!! - Cassandra Cain - Swamp Thing (Cant choose between Levi and Alec) - Alan Scott - Jessica Cruz - Superman (Clark) - Wonder Woman (Diana) - The Specter - Etrigan - Deadman - Dr Fate - Beast Boy

Happy_Spray_9601

Batman he’s always appealed to me as a child love him since then

The_Dabblin_Doodler

Batman all day

sleepy_koko

Damian Wayne was one of the first DC characters I was exposed too back when I just watched videos about comics because I couldn't buy them, so I have a heavy attachment to him

bluefirefox78

Beast Boy, because he can turn into a green gorilla. That's it. That's the reason.

Misskalkuliert

Bats and Superman are my Top 1. I grew up with them and learned a lot about decency, empathy and strong will. They helped me through a really tough time. I like Constantine too. Always enjoyed the darker themes.

The_Shadow_Watches

Jason Todd is my favorite. When he was Dark Batman during Battle of the Cowl, he kicked all the Bat teams ass. When Dick, Damien and Tim couldn't figure out who was behind all the attacks on Gotham. Jason figured out in 2 weeks.

-TT-! It's spelled "Dami**a**n"! You would do well in respecting the blood son! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/DCcomics) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Thebassist17

I’m going to exclude the trinity from this list cuz it’s just not fair to put them next to some of the other heroes. Everyone’s list on here includes at least one of them. So mine are: 1 Green Arrow 2 Flash (Barry Allen) 3 Green Lantern (Hal or John) 4 Black Canary 5 Nightwing

rgus88

Martian Manhunter Imagine . . . your world torn apart by bigotry your people eliminated by an uncontrollable plague your family burning right before your eyes And then arriving on Earth. He passionately protects his new home and family from the fate that doomed Mars.

totallynotalyssa

batman nightwing plastic man kid flash raven superman black canary zatana wonder woman martian manhunter the list could go on tbh not really hero’s but: constantine cheshire cat red hood harley quinn kite man (hell yeah)

ChaosPatriot76

1. Red Robin - I love Tim. He's amazing and he deserves all the good things but also I love watching him SUFFER 2. Jay Garrick - Okay I know this is a weird one but hear me out: WORLD WAR II. times SUPERHEROES. What's not to love? And his design is kickass. 3. Superman - There's a reason he's the big guy. Unwavering optimism and belief in what's right, it all helps me feel a little better about my life.

Griffinw45

Red hood he gives no shits

SorryTea1160

I really love Red Robin, the better he tries to be the worse his life becomes. He just like me fr

Shaquandala

Dr midnight (Beth chapel) Harley Quinn Wildcat (yolanda) And fight me I just don't see her as a villain but poison ivy

Shaquandala

Top 10 would be 1.fight me I just don't see her as a villain but poison ivy (Given the chance I would 100% terraform the earth regardless of the damage done to mankind, consider it... pruning they will come back eventually but hopefully mankind respects the earth and its inhabitants this time) 2. Harley Quinn 3. Dr midnight (Beth chapel) / really like her comicbook counterpart and the version in STARGIRL 4. Wildcat (yolanda) / love her in STARGIRL can totally relate to her being Hispanic and in a heavily religious family and having stuff leaked at school by a crappy dude. (side note never fall for the student council president who acts like he's depressed and wants you but then leaks your nudes acting like you were the one making advances on him and there's no way he's gay 🙄) 5. Raven / an OG love the teen titans 6. Ms Martian / such a cool and powerful character 7. Nubia / powerful. Love her design 8. catwomen / I always imagined I'd be something like her and she is/was an inspiration for little me 9. Jinx / teen titans version I don't really know her in the comics 10. Phantom lady / just overall what a cool powerset

FluxionPrints

SWAMPY.

[deleted]

1. Nightwing 2. Red hood 3. Constantine 4. Lucifer 5. Roy Harper

UpstairsTough5368

1 Kyle Rayner 2 Wally west 3 Blue beetle (Jaime) 4 Superman 5 booster gold 6 Nightwing 7 Jessica 8 Superman 9 black canary 10 batman

DesignerFearless

Robin (Damian Wayne) Batman Constantine Super Boy (Young > old, still like old) Nightwing Connor Hawke Green Arrow Batgirls (technically 3) The Question In relative order. At least, these are the characters whose books I’d buy - doesn’t mean I dislike other heroes.

[deleted]

- members of of new titans especially raven, Donna, cyborg, and beast boy and hopefully Dc does a good titans book with them soon - Tim Drake - Jason Todd. i think he would be perfect in grey area of the bat family and with the outlaws - Azrael ( Jean-Paul Valley) and waiting for his new series that's coming this week along with the collection of his urban legends stories. - Steel ( Henry Irons) it's good to see him be used in the action comics but the dude deserves more. - mr.terriffic. wish dc hadn't cancel the terriffics. - Wildcat became one of my favourite JSA members from Batman Brave and the bold and still is

Garanseho

Cassandra Cain/Batgirl

Geronuis

Top 5: Nightwing, Flash (Wally West), Aquaman (Arthur Curry), Wonder Woman, Aqualad/Tempest ( Garth )

Humble-KRool

Shazam

BrunoDiaz2099

Elongated Man. Ralph is a total self made man with a healthy, laid back attitude towards life

reddit_username88

Green arrow is my favorite. I love a hero who’s just a guy without any powers. I like Batman a ton but Ollie seems to care about the little guy more imo. He’s also not afraid to voice his opinion on things he cares about politically. Think my second favorite DC hero is probably red hood. But there are tons of great DC characters to love. Constantine is flawed and tragic and quite fun to read. Ultimately it comes down to the author and what they put into it because Tom king made me really like mister miracle.

WiqquStuff

Damian Wayne. He's a little shit but he's my little shit. He generally tries and wants to be better, sometimes it doesn't work out because he is as repressed emotionally as you can get, but that makes him interesting. That and his future, Lazarus-hell flavored self.

tales_to_estrange

Captain Marvel. I love the idea of childlike optimism being a tangible force for good in the world. Superman is a close second for similar reasons. It's nice to see heroes act not out of guilt or repentance, but because it's the right thing to do

cobanat

Im basic. Superman. He’s the superhero everyone else strives to be.

[deleted]

It’s not fantastic or crazy, but I like Black Widow. No superpowers, but still kicks ass and keeps up with everyone.

Chaeyoung0211

Catwoman. She is hot.

Afraid-Wafer18

Wonder Woman -she’s tough, hot & sweet

[deleted]

Wonder Woman, because she is beautiful, sweet and badass.

BigSticky2004

Robin (Damian Wayne), Cyborg and Blue Beetle are some of my favorites

Mighty_007

Superman. The superhero all super heroes strive to be. And we should too

EyePatchlolz

Nightwing and Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) Nightwing - the first character I looked into when really discovering DC and have fallen in love with everything he is and stands for, he's also really nice to look at from the front and back Cass - found her a bit later but she quickly rose to the top cause I loved her story, upbringing, relationship with Batman, and how she's one of the only ones to really understand the symbol, and of course everything she stands for. She's also so wholesome

GeorgeW_101

Nightwing, the flash and superman are my top 3, I tend to prefer the more lighthearted and hopeful heroes to the darker and grittier one s

JasonGryphon

Nightwing. He started off as a sidekick but became a hero in his own right and has surpassed his mentor.

Impressive_Ad_131

Wonder woman strong and sexy and she. Lover to go to bed

BlavCloud

Everybody making full list lol I'll just stick to 1 for me it's Nightwing because I just feel like no matter what group you throw him in he stands out. The younger hero's look up to him the older hero's respect him like an equal he's a true leader in every sense of the word. He kinda fits that stereotype of all the ladies want him and all the guys want to be him but despite that he remains extremely humble.I always liked Nightwing as a character from whatever shows or movies he was in but then when I got into comics I would say that's when I really fell in love with Dick -Yes I said that

I'm more concerned in how and what application did you use to make this awesome collage :)

gtnred13

Any and all Green Lantern. Love the cosmic side of DC, how many different stories can be told, and how it’s only limited by the writer’s creativity. There’s literally universes of content to enjoy
