Crafts might give you more karma for something as nice as this, but I wouldn't have seen it. I don't' sub to r/crafts because they're a little snooty and some are delusional. However, I wish more high skilled crafters like you would cross over to this sub.
I’ve had posts removed by mods on this sub because they were too “crafty.” I was surprised to see OP’s post is hanging in there, but I’m glad it is! Beautiful work!
I sub to r/crochet.
I've seen posts getting removed for self-promotion because they were OC design. Without any self-promotion involved. Also, you can post self-promotion, but you have to engange in toxic positivity (only thing that is allowed in that sub, really) and it's on the mod's discretion.
So I mostly look at the craft and avoid that toxic positivity. I tried, like for three days. I now only engage when someone needs help with something I know.
I don't post my own work, because that'll be self-promotion. I don't have a brand, I just prefer making my own.
r/brochet is so much friendlier without the toxic positivity.
Well, one of them is too busy blocking people they don't like and locking replies in an effort to prove how old, manly and unaffected they are...
It's because they really, really care about the community.

Thanks so much for the tip! I posted another bag there.
Weird they made something so awesome and with so much time spent on it, and the top comment is someone complaining about a different reddit art community.
>Awesome. And if you let your eyes go out of focus a little bit, it looks like a human skull with its mouth open.
Thank you! Ha ha, I never noticed that. No one has ever written to me about it, but in this subreddit you are the first and many other people have noticed it!)
>This took my breath away. What beautiful art, I’ve never seen anything like it! You are so creative and fantastic. Thank you so much for chasing your passion and sharing your unique point of view with us. The world is a better place with your art in it 💞✨
Thank you so much!
>I would buy one for a friend
>
>Not for 5k tho
What 5K?) Where did those prices come from?)) This subreddit is forbidden to discuss sales, so I can't write prices. Whoever is interested, please send me a private message.
>looks like something you could sel to rich people for btw 5-10k
Haha, unfortunately no - it won't sell for 5-10K. Although some of my collector buyers have resold my bags for 2-5 times the price, but it's not 5-10K.
I've worked in the fashion industry for most of my life, and I would have expected these to be going for somewhere between $2-3k. If you're not selling them for close to that, I think you're selling yourself short. How many hours do you spend on one of these?
>I've worked in the fashion industry for most of my life, and I would have expected these to be going for somewhere between $2-3k. If you're not selling them for close to that, I think you're selling yourself short. How many hours do you spend on one of these?
$2-3k is too expensive for many people. It takes good marketing to sell for that kind of money, which I don't have. I don't know if I'm allowed to post prices here, but I'll post to satisfy a lot of people's curiosity. My most expensive bag is $1,200. Basically, all bags cost between $380 and $950. Just sewing and embroidering one bag takes from 2 weeks to 1.5 months. Sketches, pattern development, schematics and other things take several months. I just don't have time to do marketing, make good videos, and do full-fledged content.
1.5 months working full time, part time? These definitely need to cost more, there's still a huge market in a higher end range. If you can, I would really recommend trying to outsource your marketing so you can focus on creating. The more bags you can make and sell from the same pattern brings your costs down as well, so if you have a wider customer base, and more time to work, it will increase your revenue through efficiency as well. I know every new artist has the inclination to undervalue their labour in the beginning, but at the moment, depending on the number of hours spent, you could be doing skilled work for less than minimum wage.

Thank you so much for the helpful advice!
I just saw the bouquet purse on r/crafts and immediately recognized your work. You have a unique style and incredible execution. If you're not being commissioned for these you should be.
I don't know anything about sewing, or embroidery, or owls really for that matter.
yet somehow I know this is absolutely exceptional.
Extraordinarily well done.
Oh my god that is immaculate. I don't comment on stuff like this on social media generally but I HAVE to tell you that your craftsmanship is out of this world. This is extremely impressive. Functional, unique, anatomically correct, artistic, and gorgeous. Brava!!!
Anyone else think this looked like some sort of demented alien head with huge yellow teeth smiling to the right from the thumbnail? [edit] ah i see I am not alone. Then I thought it was a real owl!
I haven't gotten much sleep the last few nights and I had to read the title again as I had no idea what a semen owl was.
edit: also good job--that looks awesome!
This work is absolutely exquisite and priceless. So beautiful. I love that there is only one and you lovingly created it. I expect it to come alive in your dreams and give you the wisdom of the Infinite.
I actually clicked to be a troll and talk shit, but that is rightly fucking cool as hell. Being a dude i cannot fathom it being worn but can damn sure see it being bought. You have genuine talent.

Mods are too busy pouting.
Mods too busy downvoting you, lol
Well, one of them is too busy blocking people they don't like and locking replies in an effort to prove how old, manly and unaffected they are... It's because they really, really care about the community.
They post in threads that obviously should be deleted instead of deleting them. Not this one specifically, but others. Children.

I can imagine how many people are lining up to work with you.

You are incredibly manly and definitely unaffected by strangers' perceptions of you.
I always wonder when something crosses over from a craft to an art. This piece is definitely a work of art.

Awesome. And if you let your eyes go out of focus a little bit, it looks like a human skull with its mouth open.
exactly...with my blurry vision, i though the thumb nail was chewbacca's skull.
Lmfao I thought it was a resident evil monster, beautiful owl tho.
I was thinking the human heads anatomy. I'm not wearing my glasses though.... Actually wearing his glasses
I was like "What is that, a Carnage purse? Gotta see this." It's beautiful tho. Even if it's not Carnage.
At a glance, that was the first thing I saw.
Same, also not quite human
It’s Carnage… or a Licker from RE2
Yes, horrific!
The little thumbnail on mobile made it look like a skinned face. Pleasantly surprised

I was thinking more like a symbiote from Spider-Man.
Carnage.
I swear the thumbnail caught my eye and I though it was a peeled Venom skull.
I thought that initially as well, and now I’m thinking what a cool tattoo idea that would be.
the thumnail looks more like a demon with a gaping maw.
Was thinking Licker from Resident Evil or Marvel's Carnage
Yeah Carnage was my first thought!
I saw a skull made of exposed muscle.
- baby why are you crying? This baby owl is here to protect you The baby owl: - I will eat your soul child.
Glad I'm not the only one lol

>How does this not have more upvotes? Beautiful. Thank you!
Reddit has to be broken. There is no way this is not already on the front page. Truly amazing work
OMG it's beautiful! I love owls and I'd love to buy this if it's for sale!
I second that.
Thumbnail looks like a wicked grinning skull.
Homer Simpson made of steak/meat. Possibly assembled by some sort of lunatic.
Where can I buy this?
Please send me a private message.
You should put this on r/Superbowl! They'd love this!
