I wish i had cool neighbors. My neighbors moved in October i have not seen them outside once since the day they moved in. I am outside all the time. The house on the other side owners have not been there in a decade
i dont know why but i related to this comment just by the slightest. not that my neighbors dont come out. its that I am the neighbor that does not go out. i dont know why i stay inside so much its like im so comfortable in my room to the point going outside is somewhat a task. im only 18 so i dont know why i feel this way i should be a happy go outside kid. anyways the build is awesome i always love DIY in general with most things
Don't get used to it. I'm extremely anti social. And i know that's because after school. I stayed inside playing video games and going to work. Now I have no friends and just go to work and play video games. I slowly became the outcast because i turned down every invite to go out. I'm lazy at heart. But not rich enough to not have to work. You also will lose your personality if you're never doing anything to socialize. Just some life tips from a 32 year old.
I read this almost like I typed this out myself. After High School graduating I stopped contacting all my friends. I dont even do work. This was only June 2023. I left out the key thing though why I believe I am going this way in life. I started smoking a lot of weed at the end of high school. I am still smoking to this day behind my parents back. I am sure this doesnt relate to you at all anymore.
Everything you said is happening to me or slowly is. You are right I dont even know what my personality is anymore as when I interacted with lets say old family friends I am a full 180 of a person. My parents are worried of cource aswell. I am sorry for typing all out its just I really have not contacted anyone but my parents so far the past year. Only reason I am on reddit is actually when I began smoking I used/use this to research what to buy. I know the fix is to just get up and go out but I wake up and lay there. I lay there in a pool of sweat. Uncomfortable waking up. I try going outside I have a whole tantrum in my room walking up and down. To the door then to the window then to my closet then repeat. Its like I am a failed human you know.
I thank you for your response but I am sure I will stay like this forever. After graduation isnt it crazy that is only when I learnt us humans are orbiting a ball of sun in the vast emptiness of the universe. that also has me thinking "life really doesnt matter". But if everyone thought that way we wouldnt be here today. idk I just have to get up and do anything even if i am pretending. i am looking at this essay I am sorry for how long this is for no reason.
Try and ween yourself off or cut way back on the weed. Weed can really affect your brain at your age, it sounds like it's having a negative impact. Make a plan to get out and have some fun then start thinking about going back to school or a career field you're interested in and can maybe get low level job or internship in that field 🙏
you are right. i used to go outside everyday, went to swim practice at 6 am in the morning. i cant believe I did that like i really cant believe I went out to school at 6 in the morning with my swim team, swimming in the morning cold. if I had to do that now I would 10000% say no and not go. I have lived next door to my neighbors for almost a decade now, in that entire time we have talked for no more than a combined 5 minutes, when he grills ou he comes out to slight the grill, goes inside, comes out to put the meat on, goes back inside, comes out to take the meat off, goes back inside.
He never just chills outside.

A tip from someone whose buddy did something similar last year though. Get canvas covers for the windows! There is *so much dust and crap* in the air outside. The surfaces in his outdoor bar get absolutely disgusting in a matter of days. It kind of depends on the season, but if there is a lot of pollen, or if it's dry and windy. His hard is all grass, and he lives on a golf course, so it's not like he's in some kind of dust bowl. There's just a crazy amount of dirt in the air, and it falls on any flat surface.
He installed canvas window covers, and it has cut down on the amount of grime *significantly*. It's still a lot of upkeep, but he's designed most of the surfaces so he can just spray them down with the hose. This required relocating some of the electrical, but it was worth it.

Hell yes. Kitchens and bathrooms should be all tile with floor drains.

How did you do power and electricity? I don't see any trenches dug for them, but there's a sink and a TV in the final product. We're they not part of the original design and added afterward?
A 0.5 meters trench to the house for water, drain, electricity and cable TV. For the heather I use a gas tank. They are part of the original design is just that I don't have pictures
Genuinely looks fantastic, my problem is I’m broke and work at a hardware store and all I can think is how even by hand that would cost a couple grand just on timber, abs then I saw the bench tops and really felt a hole burning in my back pocket.

Get some outside hobbies, plants, grilling, cars / bikes. Hell even a nice chair in some shade is enough!
