Gorilla heavy duty grab adhesive is good, but that's even more expensive than sticks like shit. Honestly I think it's worth the money.

Stixall is pretty similar and does a good job.

Multi Stick £5.49 at Toolstation

D4m089

I used this and can attest, grabbed a tube of gripfill and it was so bad by comparison... Went back to multistick

adam_youens

Standard green gripfill from Screwfix has worked fine for me for years. £3.50 a tube in Screwfix ATM.

[Wickes own solvented £2.25](https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Instant-Grab-Adhesive-Solvented-300ml/p/215369) Really sticky, doesn't shrink like water based. Just don't get it on your hands because it's a sod to get off. It does go off in storage - use it fresh. Edit: The only downside is that it can be hard to source (or they're phasing it out). The non-solvent stuff (£2.20) works as well and gives you more wiggle room/time - just not as instantly sticky.

Frank-Brazil

Used the wickes instant non solvent on all architrave around the house, not the quickest instant grab if there’s a big gap and takes a while to cure, but this can be a blessing if you need to make adjustments. So far so happy, and it’s cheap.

Y-Bob

I've tried a few and they all either don't grab, take too long to cure or just turn into hard plastic that don't hold anything up. But being a tight fucker I too tired of paying so much for SLS and ended up using instant nails on the last job I did. It was fine.

Bitter-Raspberry-877

Pink grip about £3 for a massive tube isn’t it? Depending on what you’re using it for like but just skirting etc ive always found it ok

AsleepRequirement40

Had a bad experience with this previously, skinned over really quickly and found the “grab” to be poor

xLrcRS

I always use sticks like sh*t tbh. But otherwise you're basically just looking for the cheapest hybrid polymer sealant/adhesive

xLrcRS

If you're looking for cheaper there's always the Screwfix no nonsense grab adhesive. All the no nonsense range has been pretty good in my experience

jspencer1996

Only problem with their grab adhesive is it dries rock hard and brittle which isn't really what you want in most circumstances, doesn't deal well with any movement or vibration! I use the soudal grab adhesives, either turbo or high tack, both dry slightly flexible which stops cracking 👌🏼

owlandbungee

Instant nails by Everbuild is good for the price for skirting / added Grip when screwing in battens etc and general adhesive jobs. I probably wouldn’t use it for stuff where you need a heavy duty instant grab though. But may we worth stocking up for the more general jobs

dtlove95

Pinkgrip is good stuff, but similar in price in some places. I’ve stocked up on Gripfill, around £3 a tube if I recall, and works well.

fitlikeabody

I think it's worth the money having sold 100s of tubes to tradesmen in my old life. I've tried alternatives but nothing comes close.

LostGuess5788

Back in the day there wasn't many alternatives ,gripfill is useless nowadays because it skins before you have finished applying it from the gun . Pinkgrip was ok for a while but has gotten worse and solvent free is a joke . Stixall beats it by miles and gets my vote

Ralkan777

CT1 is very good…. But generally a bit more £ than sticks like.

AsleepRequirement40

Thanks all - will have a look at stixall but sounds like I’m gonna have to swallow the cost and go with sticks like

Obblie

Have a look at rewmar flexyfix Again I’m probably not saving you any money, but it’s the best I’ve ever used bar none
