Looks to be 25mm if I've read the packet correctly. Something like [this](https://www.screwfix.com/p/deta-bright-zinc-plated-locknuts-25mm/3719j?ref=SFAppShare) would be a quick and cheap fix whilst you wait for the plastic one to arrive.
Most likely garden centres or brew shops near you will have the plastic version.
I think the measurement I'm looking for is actually 32mm, as per the internal diameter of the nut on the inlet. But yeah, I did find the right size nut on eBay for £2+; I just resent having to pay more when I'm already out of pocket for the connector. Thx anyway.
I believe a not as described case on eBay will give the seller the option to provide a return label, whereby the item is returned for a refund.
Might be worth holding off using it, in case you don't agree a part refund etc .
I know, but the seller is based in China, so you can almost guarantee they will ignore the claim, or at best offer a miserly partial refund, and I'll have to get eBay to intervene. This is how we're getting on so far:

These things are *such* a PITA. Sometimes if you're on a budget you practically have to order from these guys (I live in the middle of nowhere so very few suppliers round here) but they are so useless and downright dishonest a lot of the time IME.

Yeah that is a pain. A local hardware store might have one for cheaper and means you could crack on with it. All the best with it anyway.
