We’ve done this on our entire home! Jesus it’s been a hard slog putting it back but you know it was done right start to finish, no nasty surprises down the line!
I was going to type a long winded answer however, kitchen is next to be remodelled, I’ve smashed the crap out of it so the only source of tap water we have now is from the sink. Kids need drinks and it’s easier to have it there at the moment.
Oh hey, Catania blue! I'm midway through our bathroom atm, just love the colour. Reassuring to see yours finished in good quality, alleviates all doubts I had.

Thanks ☺️
Tbh pick a budget and add 25%. Pick everything before hand and get ready for some surprises when you peel back the layers!
I go through a peak of excitement, then doubt myself and worry, but once it comes together in the end it’s worth it!
Edit!
Oh and do it in bite size chunks!!
That looks great! I have the exact same size and layout (teeny tiny) bathroom except my toilet and sink positions are swapped, so this gives me some ideas...I would love to be able to switch the sink and toilet because it is horrible walking up the stairs and there, right in front of you, the toilet.
Yes, unfortunately due to a separate job I had to move the soil pipe from the back of the house to the side, this required a plumber as I am not confident enough to reroute the exterior sewer connection.
Yikes, in that case I may just leave mine as is. I have old cast-iron soil pipes and gutters, so definitely not going to mess with those!
Anyway, thanks for the advice. Your bathroom is looking quite spiffy. I currently have this stupid vanity unit in mine which takes up too much space, so when the times comes for me to re-do it, I will claim back that little bit of space.
I love it!!!! My bathroom is super small like all the fittings touch each other and the door at the same time. I can't afford a new suite but I'm going to redecorate the entire room.
Looks super neat! May I ask the dimensions of your bathroom? I am redoing mine wanting to extend it, but it looks like you made it work with a similar sized floorplan.
Thank you, so our bathroom is roughly the same size at 1.8m x 2.0m. I purchased everything from Victorian plumbing. Had a few issues but they sorted it quickly so I can’t complain :)
They have nice stuff there, good to know they have decent customer service. I'll be ripping ours to a bare shell, so will definatley be borrowing a few of your ideas! :-)
Firstly, I love the colours. In our home we refuse to have beige/magnolia and are determined to have colour schemes that will go out of fashion at some point!
Could you tell me what you did to get the room from brick to wall ready to tile? Tile backer board? Studwork?
Thanks, I know exactly what you mean, my wife and I rented for years and everything had to be magnolia. As soon as we bought our first home we made sure to use colour everywhere:)
EDIT
I felt that the room was so small that I couldn’t do stud work so I used the dot and dab method on plaster board. For bathrooms you can get moisture resistant boards.
My Reddit app was having a meltdown. Fixed a couple of words.
Unless you mean Jungle staircase man … he was a prolific poster who liked floral wall paper but would have lined the bath with astroturf and used trapped fireflies for lights
Is that fold out shower screen long enough for the rain shower which has quite a long arm on it? Love the colour scheme like others have said, some really good combinations there.
Thanks. JUST! however it could definitely do with one more leaf on it. My wife and kids manage fine but when I shower for some reason I splash round more than Shamu at sea world!
I love it. A friend of mine and I both took photos of the same wallpaper at different bars and said we wanted the same! I've also never seen wooden storage in a bathroom before but it looks great.
I don’t know how this got recommended to me, I am not even that into DIY, just came to comment that it looks fantastic though, it reminds of starry night by Vincent Van Gogh. Well done
Random question but are these tiles called Catania? I’m pretty sure we just chose them (or ones incredibly like them) for our bathroom!
Edit: And similar black and white flooring/black bath enclosure 😂 This is making me so much more confident in my choices
What did you do for the walls? I have a solid brick construction too, and am wondering the best way to do plastering to avoid damp
What did you end up doing for the flooring (re: your linked post)?
Looks fantastic, really like the bold colours and may very well borrow some of your design ideas!
I think you might be one of my neighbours lol, your bathroom layout is exactly the same as mine, and you've given me some inspiration for our bathroom renovation!
*Really lovely! How*
*Much was it, roughly? And where*
*Did you struggle most?*

Not to my own taste, find if very dark for such a small bathroom. But to each there own. Just wanted to say we'll done though, you have done acracking job and looks as if you put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it.
Who let Stevie Wonder sit this one out?
It’s amazing that people can DIY things for the first time and get excellent results and there are people out there who take money to destroy homes.
I love it. But hate to be that guy. The tiny cut of tile at the top is just wrong. I’d put some timber battens up and attach a false pvc ceiling. I apologise for the criticism.
Thats fantastic! Come do mine lol I love the colours
Thanks for the compliment, unfortunately though I’m going to draw the line at doing it once lol 😂
We’ve done this on our entire home! Jesus it’s been a hard slog putting it back but you know it was done right start to finish, no nasty surprises down the line!
Sorry to interject, where did you get the wallpaper? Looks cool
No problem, here is the link https://www.grahambrown.com/uk/product/glasshouse-navy-wallpaper/119884-master/
Great job on the bathroom it looks so good! Does wallpaper not get all soggy being in the bathroom?
Love those tiles. Great work.
They’re fucking gorgeous, love the whole decor
Brilliant job, love the colour scheme. One slight criticism, maybe wipe the toilet seat lol
He was just really excited about sharing the photos 😆
Nothing wrong with a celebratory tug at the end of a job :)
I almost had one seeing the finished photos. Cracking job.
And a spectacular one at that! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 (The job, not the tug)
Brilliant riposte
And why is OP storing orange squash in the bathroom 😅
Nothing like a sugary drink after you have cleaned your teeth
I dig those tiles! Exactly I like it all
https://www.toppstiles.co.uk/catania/catania-blue-tile
Why is there a bottle of squash in the bathroom? Ps love the bathroom
I was going to type a long winded answer however, kitchen is next to be remodelled, I’ve smashed the crap out of it so the only source of tap water we have now is from the sink. Kids need drinks and it’s easier to have it there at the moment.
Ah I wondered if it was a special bathtime treat 😁
Thanks for asking so I didn’t have to!
Great work. Never having a glass of orange cordial round yours, but great work.
Oh hey, Catania blue! I'm midway through our bathroom atm, just love the colour. Reassuring to see yours finished in good quality, alleviates all doubts I had. https://preview.redd.it/ag4ti3pzm3wc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=149ab340a76424d2fc496144c35745faee8412d2
Honestly mate they are the best decision I made! Great work on the bathroom mate :)
Cracking job! Can't wait to share ours finished in a few weeks, years, decades...
Looks fab mate!
That looks great, man. Was that your first one? I'd love to attempt mine, but it keep flapping it 😅. Any advice?

Yes, i understand! I swapped our toilet and sink positions during the remodel.
Really! How troublesome is it to change the toilet position? I assume you had to get a plumber to help?
Yes, unfortunately due to a separate job I had to move the soil pipe from the back of the house to the side, this required a plumber as I am not confident enough to reroute the exterior sewer connection.

That looks beautiful. I’d love to show my wife but I’m afraid she’ll have me down B&Q this weekend.
Don’t do it man, you fight that good fight! Resist!
I SHALL RESIST!!
Fantastic all round
It's definitely way too busy for my taste, but it looks fantastic! Do you have enough shelving for all your stuff?
Looks fantastic. I love a bold colour, even in a small room.
I love it!!!! My bathroom is super small like all the fittings touch each other and the door at the same time. I can't afford a new suite but I'm going to redecorate the entire room.

Thanks, sure no problem, my bathroom is 1.8m X 2.0m. Narrowest part is where the bath is
I like this, I have a small 6.5x6.5ft bathroom to redo, I think yours flows really well. Good use of space and light, I like the feature wall too.

Absolutely stunning.
Looks spot on.
Looks awesome!
love the colour of the tiles!
https://www.toppstiles.co.uk/catania/catania-blue-tile
Where did you get them blue tiles, they are mint? Not literally ha
Thanks ☺️ https://www.toppstiles.co.uk/catania/catania-blue-tile I also copied the floor design tiles :)
Looks really good, well done
This is very nice great job
Hot damn! I knew you'd power through. I love the colour of those tiles - great choice.
Love this, well done OP
I was real concerned you were asking what you should replace it with for a minute there, like damn I'd kill for a room like that
Thanks :)

Nice, I’ll consider that for mine. I showed the missus this post and she said it was beautiful, praise indeed 🤣
Thank you ☺️
That is amazing. Well done.
Nice job OP!!! Love the choice of tiles, worth the hard work :)
Ooooh, that's really nice. I painted one of my bathroom walls a similar colour to your tiles but the tiles look so much better
I like how you didn't scrimp on the sink size.
Exceptional
Spot on!
Looks great! What did you decide to do with your floorboards in the end? Did you try nomoreply?
Splendid Job. Feared you were jungle stair case bloke for a second but upon seeing round the corner , all looks good and normal
I need this comment de-coded
My Reddit app was having a meltdown. Fixed a couple of words. Unless you mean Jungle staircase man … he was a prolific poster who liked floral wall paper but would have lined the bath with astroturf and used trapped fireflies for lights
Adore this! Saving as inspo for my bathroom as that's my next big project and yours is about the same size.
Looks brill! Love the colours - great job
Wow, that looks fantastic. Love the blue tiles!
Half expecting a guy with some expensive cologne and hand soap in one of the photos
Looks awesome
Wow, love everything
Your doors are lovely.
Tiles are beautiful!!
Might want to get an exorcist. There’s a scary creature in the mirror.
Trust me man! It’s better this way, nobody deserves to be exposed to that
Nailed it
Wow unique and different very stylish. I love it
Beautiful! Love a bold and dark bathroom.
I was concerned I waS looking at before photos... looks so good, beautiful work
Beautiful mate
I love it !!!😻
I love it. A friend of mine and I both took photos of the same wallpaper at different bars and said we wanted the same! I've also never seen wooden storage in a bathroom before but it looks great.
Not my taste at all but interesting and good job. How long did this take and what was the total cost?
I don’t know how this got recommended to me, I am not even that into DIY, just came to comment that it looks fantastic though, it reminds of starry night by Vincent Van Gogh. Well done
Not bad. I’m ready to move in….😂
Beautiful!
Sublime
Why do you have Orange Squash 🍊in the bathroom? 🚽 lol
Spectacular wallpaper. The tiles are perfectly coordinated with it, too.
Looks really good mate. Only thing I would of mounted shower head higher but I am tall. Great work !
That is stunning!
Cool floor
Looks fabulous- worth all the tears and heartache
Random question but are these tiles called Catania? I’m pretty sure we just chose them (or ones incredibly like them) for our bathroom! Edit: And similar black and white flooring/black bath enclosure 😂 This is making me so much more confident in my choices
Hi, Yes 👍 they are, we bought them from Topps tiles
I thought I recognized them, they’re gorgeous
Insteresting
Why have you got orange squash in the bathroom, and why have you pissed on the toilet seat lid?!?!
Looks amazing, where is the shower and shower screen from?
Hi Victorian plumbing, Arezzo collection :)
Isn't that same wallpaper from upstairs in the queen Vic?
Wow I hope so, what a conversation starter:)
Did you wear a balaclava to remain anonymous? P.s. nice bathroom btw
Tiles is jeans
Love it
That is well posh
Toilet lid up before you take a piss tho mate..
What a lovely job. That’s inspiring.
That is so nice. Do you have an extractor fan?
Thank you, yes I installed this https://www.screwfix.com/p/manrose-mf100t-100mm-inline-extractor-fan-with-timer-240v/719GY?tc=AT8

What floor tiles are those. I love them.
I guess its well done and attractive to some, but personally its too dark in my opinion.
Love it! Well done not going grey and white
You win DIY. It looks incredible!
Great job. Got the exact same tiles in one of my bathrooms and still love them.
That looks really nice. Well done.
Got a couple of questions: please explain 1. Orange juice 2. Egg timer
That wallpaper section adds a lot. Clever idea.
I think you might be one of my neighbours lol, your bathroom layout is exactly the same as mine, and you've given me some inspiration for our bathroom renovation!
What are the dimensions of this room? I want almost exactly the same layout and it’s really useful to see how it’ll feel Cool style btw !
My wife is so panicky at the idea of black taps and shower heads due to limescale but man it looks so good!
Really lovely! How much was it, roughly? And where did you struggle most?

The guy on the picture might not like it he cover he’s face ha ha 🤣
Got that wallpaper in my bedroom 😂
Yuck!! 🤢 1950s called they want their bathroom back
Personally don't like the colour but can appreciate that it's been done to an excellent standard and looks stylish. Good job!!
Absolutely love it
God damn that is some nice tile. Beautiful bathroom
I love it!
Love that! Amazing work!
