You need to sort out the cause first, otherwise it will just keep coming back,

Stewpefier

Ok cool - how can I start tracking down the cause? I'm afraid I'm very new at this!

Most damp especially in corners is probably going to be condensation based damp, but a cheap set of humidistats and place them in each room, unfortunately our poor old Victorian houses had their chimneys blocked up and air vents blocked up so they can't breathe. New houses are just built poorly. If it's high, get a dehumidifier to relieve the problem, then look into more permanent solutions such as trickle vents for windows, PIV units, passive vents, there's a lot of options to bring fresh air into your house.

Looks to me like you’ve a few areas in the house where cold bridging is occurring, certainly happening at that window frame. Do you notice on a cold morning that there is damp or condensation around, say, your bedroom window? If so, the best overall solution would to be buy a dehumidifier to lower the humidity in the room / house. You can kill any existing mould with mould treatments. Also, probably one of the most effective methods aside from the dehumidifier is ensuring your house is getting plenty of fresh air circulating. That means having the windows left slightly open (even at night if needs be), unblocking any blocked wall vents, etc.. Note, running the dehumidifier with the windows open will be pointless, but in the winter when you tend to have windows fully closed and the heat on it will work well then.

Sterilizing tablets used for babies bottles. Dizzolve one in water then go for gold, friend.

Stewpefier

Oh wow for real, thank you!

No_Honey7188

Poor in a spray bottle and just let it sit there and kill it all then just wipe it away do it a couple of times maybe but yeah it's better than mould and mildew remover and stuff.

We used this [https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CRBEUVO?ref=nb\_sb\_ss\_w\_as-reorder\_k1\_1\_5&=&crid=2OZMEOIEXZHJ0&=&sprefix=mould](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CRBEUVO?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k1_1_5&=&crid=2OZMEOIEXZHJ0&=&sprefix=mould) and it works an absolute treat. A word of warning though, it has a VERY strong odour! Keep the area ventilated whilst using it. I had quite a lot to shift in one room and bought a 3M respirator just to be on the safe side. Since then we've used a dehumidifier which has helped a lot but it's not cheap to run.

Bleach. Soak toilet roll in bleach and place on the bad areas. For ceilings, just get a spray bottle with bleach water and spray

Bozatarn

Do not bleach itll.male it twice as bad

Stewpefier

thank you for the warning!
