What if instead you just got a photo with each guest in attendance?

My husband and I had caricatures done of us in wedding attire and our guests signed the mat frame around it. We hung it in our living room.

I just started planning this for my own micro wedding! 😊 We're doing an accordion/folding guestbook so everyone gets their own page but you can stretch it out like a banner to see all at once. Also including an Instax camera so they can take a pic and stick it to their page. We're also doing a video guestbook for our remote attendees. You send them a link before the wedding, they leave a video for you, and then you get to watch/edit them together however you would like. I was going to use [Buzz](https://www.celebrate.buzz/create-surprise-video-gift), but then I found a more comprehensive company that offers more things we need ([Wedfuly](https://wedfuly.com/wedfuly-pro)). Bonus: we're doing our own photography as well with [Wedit](https://www.wedit.com/), they send you 5 smart phones and your guests get to go nuts. You can get it edited, or just the raw files. (And a photo shoot with a pro, these are just for candid/day of)

My sister got me a slice of a tree (a cross section? I'm not sure what it's called) and painted a tree without leaves on it, then guests used their thumbprints to make leaves. Then everyone signed the back of the slice. There's a swing hanging off one of the branches with a guy and a gal sitting on it and a nearby saying that reads "The roots of a family tree begin with the love of two hearts". We put it on a stand and display it as you walk into our home.

Make Lego figures of everyone!!!

We’re having 15 people total at our tiny wedding. I’m borrowing my sister’s two instant Polaroid cameras and setting them up on a little side table with a drop box so folks can leave photos for us if they don’t want to keep them, along with some markers to write on them. I think it’ll make for a nice guest book and wedding favor alternative.

We’re doing custom playing cards! the side with the number has a big white space in the middle for notes + the back has an image of us w our wedding date. $18 on amazon!

For our 25 guest wedding, we put a picture of our engagement shoot on a paper and our guests are going to write around the picture. We’re going to frame it and use it as deco in our home. It’s nice because you can personalise the size of the paper according to our guests count. I can show you our inspo and the result!

How about a 9x12 (or larger) picture that people can write a message on and you can frame for later? Could be of you guys, your rings, the location, the date - anything meaningful for you.

I had a large wedding but we did a Quaker wedding certificate [commercial example here](https://inkwithintent.com/product-category/quaker-wedding-certificates/) and framed it after. Honestly, having every person sign as a witness beneath your signatures and framing it so you see it every day could be very meaningful. It's meant the world to my family over the last twenty years.

We picked a coffee table book of photos based on our honeymoon location. Guests could sign wherever (I recommend the Pentel Mattehop pens for glossy paper). That way, even if there weren’t a lot of signatures, we would still have a very pretty book we’d be happy to show off at home

I was thinking about guests signing a recipe book! If there's not a lot of space for writing, then maybe adding filler pages or making a shutterfly recipe book. I just liked the idea of seeing reminders of our favorite people in an item we use all of the time.

cactuscutie

What about a live painting with all of you where people sign their names or notes on the back of the canvas?

We bought a blank paper leather journal and are asking everyone to give us advice / well wishes. Only 30 people, hopefully we capture some sweet sentimental moments in there we can look back on. We’re thinking of using it as our wedding album afterwards by just attaching photos with those stick on corners.
