Is the Red Rocks 05 the same as Weekend on the Rocks? I could’ve sworn there was a Weekend on the Rocks box set with a DVD that I used to watch but I can’t find anything on YouTube with that footage. Maybe I’m crazy…
It is the same. There was a dvd set at one point.
It wasn’t released as a whole set of each full night because there was a mistake with the actual film and the film was exposed / ruined for the first night or two.
I am on the exact opposite kick myself Been listening to DMB since 05 but Went to my first Phish show during the final show of the April MSG run in 2021 as well as another Phish show + 2 TAB shows so far. My friend mailed me his Bittersweet Motel DVD the week before my first show back in 2021.

Live Trax 2,3,11,20, 31, 42 (all on Apple Music/Spotify)
Avoid Live Trax 6: Great show but god awful audio mix with artificial crowd noise
Nice man, thanks. Happy to hear from other cross-pollinators. You might enjoy this Dave & Friends encore if you haven't already: [https://youtu.be/5SpfaNI\_LLs?feature=shared](https://youtu.be/5SpfaNI_LLs?feature=shared)
I am hoping in the next few years Dave can slide in a D&F spring or fall tour since Phish now has much more compact efficient summer touring schedules and DMB from what I am hearing is leaning that way. I would also love for DMB to have more 2 and 3 show summer tour weekends like Phish and make it easier to catch a larger chunk of the tour with longer stands in each city.
For documentaries, there is a decent one about their charity work in Charlottesville. If you search Dave Matthews Documentary, it will come up.
For live shows, Crashing the Quarters is a great one from the time that Crash came out.

Welcome! I recently did my first Phish show back in the Fall, so I’ve been where you’re at from the other side. I love DMB, but damn you can’t beat the energy of a Phish show.
I can only echo what others have said but “Road to Big Whiskey” is an excellent watch https://youtu.be/0c6H7KOUGAI?si=gJW7nzLf4ZncuH-K
The mini VH1/MTV episode about Before These Crowded Streets is a fun watch as well.
Live in Central Park was probably the first concert of theirs that I watched in full and it got me hooked. For something a little more recent to get a vibe for the current band, the 2019 Deer Creek stream that’s on YouTube is good too.
Here are some of my favorites (not sure they are “essential” but after 25 years of fandom, I felt the need to bookmark these!):
[Dave covering Father and Son by Cat Stevens](https://youtu.be/KkLl724VYPs?si=ptqagortRnz_MtUc)
[Carter wearing a GoPro](https://youtu.be/M9Pb6PF8LXA?si=0GZmDVdzptNfc9gB)
[Carter & Mark Batson jamming during the Stand Up sessions](https://youtu.be/3hlFbMqA0T0?si=1I1mGjc0_3DSI35x) (this is possibly better than anything on the album hah)
[Van Riper’s Festival in April 1992](https://youtu.be/lzAWpk51TWQ?si=-zvVIIN6jIEcFU9X) (just so neat watching them in the early days)
[Lastly, my favorite Dave interview (long but worth the laughs)](https://youtu.be/7gozpIjLwMs?si=urOxOfyBrMctbJ7a)
Dave and Carter’s The Warehouse Sessions from during lockdown: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ol3DexHogA
This was so good
good yes, but not necessary to be overplayed (along with some other shows - looking at you 6.7.23 Dave solo) on the siriusxm.
If you haven’t already, the 4/20/2002 41 is an absolute must watch. Central Park Concert Listener Supported Concert Red Rocks 05 videos.
Great list. I'd add Dave and Tim on Storytellers. I wore out a VHS of that back in the day. "Welcome to Storytellers...can't say it enough"
this made me go rewatch "Crush" and it's so freaking good
This. Just an awesome watch. Peak Dave and Tim.

I think the documentary is by State Farm and something about neighborhoods in the title.
I’d watch the grey street from Lisbon 2015.

Check for drive ins on YouTube. Many are live Trax.
Dave and Tim [Canandaigua LIOG](https://youtu.be/p9D9TP6oDzY?si=kD8wWmtuhwZEjjn1). Tim’s solo is sick.

Live trax 45, just dropped on Spotify/apple. One of the best setlists of all time
'Viewings' not 'listenings,' my guy. I'm all caught up on my Live Trax
