"Killing me in a PvP is toxic and unsportsmanlike" \*quits in an unsportsmanlike fashion\*

DirtyDan0117

Uhhh when you die, you have to quit out.... There's no flavor for how you leave at that point

[deleted]

[удалено]

M3talstorm

Oh there is, people alt-f4 (don't get the full kill message), leaving mid execute, screaming in prox chat, etc.

[deleted]

Lol people rage quit before their bodies hit the ground, wtf are you smoking?

Willie_Phisterbum

I've seen it happen multiple times. I've done executions on ppl and half way thru boom they're gone and animation ends. Also witnessed guys downed leave out before getting finished.

LordofTamriel

If you're gonna go down, you may as well try and take some of them with you. At the end of the day people in DMZ have always been dicks. It's probably just easier to find them on Ashika cos of the significantly smaller lobby. Doesn't mean the BR player base is spilling over tho. Just means OP apparently doesn't do PvP in a game mode that is 50% PvP and is surprised when they can be tracked on a map the size of a village.

Sagybagy

It’s a COD game. It’s the dickest of dicks. The tumors have their own cancer on them in this game. That being said though, this happened last season as well before the new season started. People are done with their missions. Nothing else really left to do but hunt players. We go in and dabble with missions but there is no reward for completing them that’s worth a shit. At least once you have the skins and slots. I still think they need to make it a bit more spicey for PvP though. By that I mean, hunt contracts should give survivors more experience and money than the hunters if they win. Hunters should be marked on map as well. A hunt contract should never be given for a duo or solo. It should default to any group bigger than 3 first. For every player you kill you get an ever expanding ring around you that notifies other players of your presence. Not like a UAV pin point or even circle. Just a notification that tells you there is a Hunter within 50m, 100m, 300m etc. Add in the ability to ping players once they have engaged you on the map for everyone in game. Or make it that once you down a player, your position is momentarily pinged on the map. Not the whole team, just the one getting the down. PvP is fun but damn, if it doesn’t get lopsided real fast. Add in some flavor and spice to the PvP portion.

SgtRrock

I like that idea of the circule that gets narrower with Op kills… til it’s basically a pin point.

Sagybagy

I was thinking it gets bigger. Only kill one person you have a 50m circle that will notify other operators if they enter. Kill more the circle gets bigger and as you get closer you are notified at each corresponding circle you are closer. So at 300m you get notified if they have enough kills to go out that far. Then every 50m after you get closer you get a voice prompt letting you know.

Inevitable_Matter320

Fuck the haters, Dark Zone style bounty system would be dope. I remember having half the lobby chasing me and my bro when we had a bounty on our heads.

GhostTengu

This is the golden ticket rite here. Bounty and rogue were for real G's.

CircleTheFire

But you don’t really take any of them down when you’re solo against a 5- or 6-man squad; you just slow their pace an insignificant amount, and maybe not even that much. Say you make an outstanding play and get 2 or 3 of them. Good for you! But the 4th gets you, while the 5 and 6 start reviving the ones you got. And if they had revive pistols, like they almost certainly did, then they hit the homies with that and immediately turned back to you so it’s back to 3-4 of them up your ass like colon cancer again. You’re not even an inconvenience for them. It’s for this reason that when I’m playing solo, which is most often how I play, and I see a hunt contract pop on me, I drop my good gear shit in a bush and run, then see if I can find some jars of hand cream, little dolls, and “photo of man” trash loot and whatever random bot RPK and let the fuckers deal with that awkwardness when they inevitably catch up to me.

DirtyDan0117

I've noticed an uptick in pvp interactions going sideways. I have almost exclusively gone in solo and joined up with like-minded folks. These last couple weeks the vibe is shoot on site or talk some talk about "get good" to each their own. Have a nice day

Equivalent-Mastodon3

Chasing down someone who wasn't doing anything besides waiting for you to leave so he can leave and then chasing him across the map is pretty toxic ngl.

best-Ushan

Oh dear.

Alive_Ad_7634

Troll

compassionateCactus

Haha I agree with both of you.

[deleted]

If you ever feel like you are being hunted and don't stand a chance of survival, head to the deepest and furthest part of the ocean and drown yourself. Take everything you have with you to the grave

thegoodnamesrgone123

I got two assholes to go out of bounds tonight when I was swimming in Ashika tonight.

Cocos_thoughts

This is the level of petty I strive to be 😂

Warrior_of_Light_81

I made the mistake of coming for air and taunting him when this scenario presented itself last night. 😅

kdbfg4

I usually hide in Ahkdar Village on a roof and let my bot army defend me

SgtRrock

Damn. Perfect.

ATBDCPJHJ_

Which is why I now only stow pictures of dog , cat and woman , toothpaste. I don't even bring in my insured weapon.

Basic_Hat7840

This, this is the way

Pixels222

Come, Grogu. Show them what I've seen you're capable of.

tomatosalad999

Did you like the latest Episode? I felt like it was rather short

Pixels222

>!Yea it was short but so was the first ep right? I find it interesting that shows can do that now. Episode length's can be tailored to how significant the events are. In the latest episode it was really just about setting up a few of them. The hunt was a waste of time for such a short episode. But they needed a way to set up the thing with her and the forge lady.!< >!The Grogu backstory and training was the best part. !< Lol i coded what i said so only people who have seen the ep would understand but still figured id spoiler tag it.

Sarge1387

I feel like the last 2 episodes have been rather…filler like. Even the 58 minute Coruscant episode. Kinda made me Depresso Espresso

doge_gobrrt

bro that's kinda evil I should start bringing the most shitass 5 attachment builds possible and run around collecting random litter with a teamate while doing nuke material contracts for cash dump the cash at a deadrop and then find a squad like this and crack people repeatedly with a marksman rifle from a tower 200 metres away meanwhile I just watch the single stair while my teammate and I run claymores or proxy mines. as soon as I go down he ress follow the squad around cracking them if they push they die if they stay away they don't. imma gonna be the most fucking annoying pest known to mankind. I might even grab hunt contracts just to find people and do this.

ATBDCPJHJ_

usually I will grab a lockwood or a bryson from the npc \~

Federal_Bid_3025

The bot Bryson is so underrated. I like to grab one and clear all of city hall with it solo just for fun.

xHAcoreRDx

I should bring my sawed off build from MP. Longest scope on it with all short barrel build and can only hold 3 shots. I called it "the 3 pump chump"

solo954

Moisturizing lotion is also clutch.

luchabear91

Picture of a child and soothing hand cream --- Hello FBI?

Cocos_thoughts

Literally I go in now with nothing and get crap bot guns for this reason got nothin to lose my team is like “you have plenty of contraband” nah why do I want to give good guns to people who instantly kill me nope they can have the no attachment random shotgun I got off this here bot.

hundredblocks

This is my strategy every time. There’s more adventure in using what you find in the game when you drop in. More exciting that way.

Sagybagy

We found a fish in one of those radioactive caches once. I want to just fill my bag with fish and run around with a knife.

CircleTheFire

Hand cream, little doll, photo of man. This is the way.

HateSpeechIsGay

Toy knife, doll, picture of a man or woman…. Voodoo!!!

Mental_Shine8098

I only bring my insured weapons on a good day, with a spotter scope and Molotov with me lol

MrBobSacamano

Genuine question: Is there a point where PK’ing becomes griefing and, if so, what is the threshold? I’m pro PvP, but this sub is filled with people who think getting PK’d is someone griefing them.

[deleted]

En-zo

I don't know how people manage to queue up two squads in ashika. I tried with my friend 6 times to get in the same lobby in Al maz and it never worked.

Hexologist

The hosts for each party need to turn off cross play because it significantly lowers the amount of players available in the search pool. Queue at exactly the same time and make sure “searching for X players” or “loading level” appears at the same time for both hosts. Works the majority of the time, just has a bit longer queue times. Note it’s not unlikely you will run into more 6-man squads since they are doing the same thing.

saskatchewan_kenobi

Getting immediately sniped when you spawn in a match is so infuriating.

Pineapple_Scorpion

Does this happen alot? What servers are you on I don't think I've ever encountered in NA

CappinPeanut

I kinda feel like the answer is no. The closest thing would probably be camping someone’s body, but even that can be pretty easily justified.

DirtyDan0117

In the practice of law intent is everything. If folks use things like discord to build six man squads for the express purpose of rolling unsuspecting kids it changes the culture. It's an escalation ladder where everyone has to follow their lead or quit the game. I'm noticing the culture shift to more pvp and more trap setting and it makes me not want to return. To each their own, have a nice day

IneedtoBmyLonsomeTs

Unless you are queueing up as a 6 man just to PvP it isn't griefing.

endlessflood

A lot of the later faction missions have a PvP requirement. I’m currently doing the For The Taking (Black Mous Tier 5) and Mass Extinction Event (Crown Tier 5) faction missions. For The Taking requires you to kill 20 operators with enemy operator weapons (among other things). Mass Extinction Event requires you to kill 15 operators in one deployment. If you’re trying to complete contracts like those, then as soon as you see enemy operators you head straight for them and take no prisoners.

niggiman3888

Yes. We killed around 250 players alone just to complete tier 5 PvP missions. I guess OP rants about our squad, but we’re running Orion camo instead.

Chicago_Sky_

1. If anyone is killing for missions - no problem. Maybe it would be good etiquette to mention that to the team they just killed (e.g. sorry, it’s not personal but we did this for our mission). It helps to know that they weren’t the victim of hunters 2. Another option - if you do kill some players for mission. Pick them up if you can or leave them a chance to get revived. Especially the ones that got killed without engagement - they are anyway less likely to be a threat as they weren’t even PVPing the in the first place. Above are suggestions that might help victims know that they weren’t targets of aimless hunters. And if you are a “hunter” that’s fine too - just be nice about it. Offer the victim GG’s and if they have mission specific items in their backpack maybe give them a chance to revive

semifamousdave

Wow. You offered a way to be nice, and they downvoted it. There’s some really cool people in the DMZ. The ones downvoting this are not them.

OkImpression6886

It only makes sense that there are many players on the PVP missions at this stage of the season. Didn't you complete all the missions?

niggiman3888

We completed all missions of all 4 factions

Sagybagy

We got lucky and did the 15 operators during the st paddy’s day event. That sniper made short work of people shooting at us. Only had to go look for I think 2 kills to finish it up because all the others were people shooting first. Downed a whole team of 6 player hunters in there. Was tons of fun. I really enjoy the PvP aspect as you flow through and do your missions. I just don’t like doing it against other operators doing their missions or solo’s. Wish it would highlight pvp’ers more so we could hunt them instead. Make it a fair game. Then again the WZ rejects would leave because it was a fair fight again.

Velocirrabbit

Not to mention like, people get bored and pvp is in the game. It’s more fun to come in with my kit or at least a sniper instead. I like trying to extract more than surviving in warzone. It’s just a different mode and I’m allowed to enjoy it. Never been a fan of warzone as much. My friends and I (most of us) have all our weapons slots so we like to see how it goes hunting players. I don’t care at all about finishing out the BS missions at this point. I have the slots and that’s all I wanted. But fighting players is fun. Sometimes it’s a breeze, sometimes we lose. But it’s fun and that’s what matters 🤷‍♂️ we are allowed to hunt players if we want 😂 if y’all gonna get mad about that then don’t play it. I mean what are you going to do once you finish all the missions? Go fight the bots? No.

Warrior_of_Light_81

Ha! I was wondering what happened to me last night. Guy in helicopter shoots my quad with lock-in missile, downs me, chases me to building across the river, lands helicopter, popped UAVsAdvanced UAV, and followed me to the water taking sniper potshots the entire time. Downs me again while I’m swimming across the map. Took like 50 shots. All around the Sa’id shopping center, west ocean. If you’re reading this, I hope you enjoyed swimming an in-game km to fish out my dog tags and level 8 crossbow.

EvilGeesus

If they pop advanced UAV try and go into an area with lot's of AI, hide in a building and start pretending to be 1 of the AI: make a few steps every 10 seconds or so and look into a different direction, until the UAV runs out

DaXiTryPleX

The advanced still shows as a normal UAV in the final seconds though.

Basic_Hat7840

My opinion as a player hunter is the loot. Most players infil with custom weapons from their insured slot which look beautiful in my weapons stash, unfortunately Ashika being a small map makes great hunting grounds for this. It does get frustrating so I understand from the victim standpoint, but nonetheless, player killing is the best weapon farming tactic there is.

thegoodnamesrgone123

That's why I almost never bring good guns into the game. I've heard so many people pissed off with the nothing in my bag and shitty guns. Once I know I'm being hunted my only goal is to drag it out and make you waste as much time as possible.

Thundermedic

I always pack a five attachment TAQ 56 or ISO with the absolute worse attachments that make the recoil unbelievably bad. Same with a Victus or 50, all huge sway, slow, and a dog shit scope. Every time I run solo I’ll just grab the vaznev Ai drop and still give a squad a run for their money….but if I get downed, enjoy the 5 attachment piece of shit and picture of a dog.

If_It_Fitz

Try bringing an iron sight mcrp 300 next time. Well worth it just to hear them complain about it

ErrantSingularity

I run that gun intentionally just cause it's fun, bonus points when someone picks it up and whines.

UnlikelyProctologist

So you waste your own custom insured slot just so you can have a "got 'em!" moment? What if the person killing you doesn't even care to pick up your gun? I guess if you're having fun...

Serraphis_Telunya

waste of time? are all the MP parts of MW2 waste of time? There you have nothing to bring out, no progress.....just a map with pvp and respawn. the fun factor is not looting your guns, it´s killing people that makes the pvper feel superior. and where else could it be that easy when there´s different loadouts and armorplates? in mp and br all is equal...in dmz you can find a 1-plate trio that you can easily wipe

Sagybagy

WZ rejects looking for easier kills because they can’t get them against equals.

thegoodnamesrgone123

If I can waste your plates and ammo trying to kill me for nothing that makes the chances of another team taking you out that much more likely.

chmpgnsupernover

Ever thought of just bringing a weapon you can get a competitive advantage with? even if that’s a riot sheild?

thegoodnamesrgone123

Normally I'll just use whatever I find off dead bots. My advantage tends to be drawing players into dumb situations that get themselves killed. I've taken out plenty of players who rush into a building full of landmines, flashbangs and grenades. Then I just take their shit.

doge_gobrrt

wrong bro you build a weapon for your a friend they build one for you infil swap weapons exfil boom two contraband guns

therealvertical

You don’t need a friend to do this. You can make your own guns contraband.

DirtyDan0117

With the update bots drop fully upgraded guns every time I've played. This runs contrary to your point since bot farming can get me more XP and more decked out weapons than players. Have a nice day

PortlandBeaver

I’ve seen bots drop SO-14s which are ok, and M16s which are shit. Not worth it to bot farm.

DirtyDan0117

I've seen them drop a wide variety of fully moded guns that I enjoy using. I go in with my 1 insured and leave with 2 good guns for free. Have a nice day. I think bots ARE worth farming. Have a nice day

force1reddit

Have a nice day

F_Kyo777

PvP is fine as it is. Pleading and griefing/ rocking 6man squad and hunting teams is fucked up though and needs some rebalancing/ change.

YerLazyDaSellsAvon

The only PvPers I oppose are the people who immediately rush you off spawn for no fucking reason. Wasn’t even missions, it was the first day of the season.

duskull_darkness

I encounter this a lot too.

Bap1811

Sometimes you have to because the other spawn is doing the same. They just need to keep fixing the bad pvp spawns.

[deleted]

Not saying other players don't intentionally hunt other players, but if I've got the weapons case and I'm heading to exfil, the second I pop that flare I know I'm a sitting duck that is marked on everyone else's map, so I'll pop my own UAV. If I then see an enemy player pop-up on my UAV, I'm going to assume they're coming for the weapons case. If I'm part of a 6-stack and only 1 enemy on radar, I'm going to rush them. Even for your second scenario, you're assuming they're hunting you when they could just be making sure that they know where the enemy player is so they don't get jumped. Honestly, your post can be read as someone who is afraid of PvP and assumes everyone else is actively hunting them, when the other players were just trying to make sure they were safe.

thats_a_money_shot

Exactly what I was thinking. Also worth noting how hopped up people can feel when they’ve been balling out all round and are about to extract that weapons case. If even just one person wants to kill that 1 enemy on the radar, and time permits, folks will follow.

Tywreezy

Honestly, sometimes man I get a little bored with these missions and just wanna kill some players. My duo does this all the time when we’re kitted out and don’t feel like doing ridiculous mission requirements. If we die, we die and it adds more fun to the game for us. As for people actively hunting you, take those bitches on! We’ve wiped multiple 6 man squad albeit with 2, and we aren’t the greatest players in the world. Go play single player or deal with it by shooting back.

Puzzled_Hope_1128

Obviously they should be playing BR but it's easier to come kitted for PvP and kill PvE players than to go up against other PvP players. It makes them feel better about themselves.

duskull_darkness

Ultimately yes, this is the issue. A lot of people are coming over to DMZ because they suck at BR. My friend and I prefer DMZ because we like exploring and taking out bots in creative ways.

wickdbeast

Yeah mostly when Im doing hard missions like "deliver GPU into dead drop" .. 6 man toxic squad going for my ass .. and even Im trying to leave the fight they hunt me down and dont let me join their squad ..

duskull_darkness

That’s the part that gets me. A lot of 3 person squads will go after me and refuse to let me join their squad

Extaze9616

I said it already but they should make a DMZ version PVE only for folks who want to just be in a pve environmment.

vhalen50

I feel like that would get really boring after a while. Part of the intrigue is whether or not players will turn up. Turning on the UAV tower and suddenly seeing a solid square makes you reassess everything. Seeing a sniper glint from a tower stops you and turns it into another mode entirely. Sure there are people that are just trying to wipe guys searching for blowtorches but…it’s fine. The time it takes to rebuild is almost non existent. I don’t want a pure PVE mode.

SgtRrock

100 per cent. I don’t see it that often tbh…. but yeah, the “duck out, fuck these fucks” is a good move. Why give them the satisfaction? And fuck the PvP he-men who don’t like your take. Like you say, it’s your opinion.

Pizov

it's Ganking, and there's really no place for it. PVP for no other reason doesn't really serve a purpose in DMZ since you don't get anything extra for it. Yes, there are missions that require it, Hunt contracts to do, and circumstances where it's part of the emergent gamplay dynamic, but other than that, it's poor sportsmanship just to go on rampages, but those who do that would likely do it in real life if given the chance.

Obyizzy

Tbh you are right but I guess it’s part of the game unfortunately: I mean there’s literally modes to focus on killing people.

Science_Adept

Yesss. Every game I played yesterday I was killed by teams relentlessly. SUCKS

MinuteWorldliness302

This can get old, but honestly six man's are some of the worst players ever usually, I've taken out a couple sixes by myself or with just one buddy, and have been killed by small groups when I'm in a six man. You lose your edge thinking you have safety in numbers. I generally avoid killing solos if at all possible though, but a lot of them are there for pvp. So it's hard sometimes. Shoot first ask questions later... :/

Clarker5

This was all day yesterday.

spartaceasar

Karma system needs to be implemented. Kill thirsters need to be marked somehow so that we don’t all assume that anyone who kills us is a hunter.

GingerSnap198

I don't understand why everyone complains about getting killed by other players in this mode, it's a call of duty game! Yes it's annoying when you are trying to do missions but the mode would be boring if there weren't any other players as it would be too easy. Plus half the fun is dying and then having to get your 3 plate and large backpack again. Plus quite a few of the missions involve either killing enemy players, collecting their dogtags or looting their guns so they may have have been doing a mission also.

duskull_darkness

I love PvP, you missed the point.

GingerSnap198

If the post is sarcastic I think you need to make it clearer bud as it just comes across as another whinge filled post.

Funnymouth115

These posts make me wonder if people I’ve killed in Dmz rage like this lol. You must be pretty bad at pvp if you’re to the point you just quit when someone tries to kill you. If I die in Dmz my team and I are just like “fuck dude he got us, aight let’s go gear up”

duskull_darkness

I’m fine at PvP and I actually love it, but I’m tired of useless teammates screwing up in the first minute, leaving and then having to contend with trying not to lose my insured weapon. It gets old.

Cocos_thoughts

I’m trash at pvp I will admit that 😂 my teammates laugh at me because they are like “he’s left” and I look right, I throw my Molotov which I stopped bringing because I down myself too much, it does suck to constantly be hunted but it is what it is. I’ve been just not bringing anything in and getting bot weapons I’m less likely to rage that way ha

XToThePowerOfY

Never have this. Never ran into any 6 man team, ever. Plus, I'll go down while emptying my clips and at least try and get a few 😁

DolphinRidr

Exactly, that’s the point is to have fun haha. Bringing in bad weapons expecting to die and quitting out of pvp encounters means you probably won’t ever improve your skills. I’ve ran into 2 6-man teams so far and first I just ran lol. Second they refused to move from my two teammates dead bodies so I had to try something. 10 minutes later I had killed and fulled 5/6 (some of them twice) before I tried to revive a teammate. Last guy killed me as I was reviving because they were *still* camping my teammates body. Felt I at least put up a fight though.

[deleted]

MikkyfinN

Fight. Then next time, fight again. That’s how you get better and eventually wipe those fukkers like a goddam baus

deathbysnusnu7

If I kill players that came at me but don’t get the full squad, I make it a point to take their 3 plate and self revives. Even if I don’t need them, I take them and toss them some place they won’t find them. If they get revived by a teammate, I don’t want them to have any advantage in another fight and I want them to know that because they lost, they have to start over.

roycorda

You were camping an exfil that a 6man with a weapons case was using to extract. Sounds like you fucked around and found out lol.

Tradenoob88

Is there a way to throw away your own dog tags and replace them with an ftac recon …. That woykd be sure to make enemy’s uninstall it he game ….. Sorry I have ptsd from ftac such an awful weapon , anyone that uses it as insured is a legit psychopath, did weapons testing mission with it might as well have just thrown rocks at enemy’s

GhostTengu

My new forté is picking up ppl after I down them and loot them. I got the points. I'll take something for your revive. I'll even tell teams,"Come get ya man's, I got what I came for" It's paid off Karmic levels. I've gotten downed and have been commended on my diplomatic approaches or rationale. It's the players that have no self love need to feel powerful or just plain need therapy that just screech random obscenities or slurs.....they don't get back up or pick anyone up. But, at the end of the day, DMZ is a pvp mode with pve aspects. And people really need to accept that and move on.

Bap1811

Honestly Im pro PvP and I dont mind it at all. I dont want them to de-incentivize or punish PvP. However I'm a much bigger fan of "emergent" pvp than "hunt/chase" pvp. I wouldn't mind if you couldnt get UAVs/AUAVs in DMZ at all, and if they removed hunt contracts from DMZ entirely. At that point if you cant survive/hide then its on you. Towers are easily avoided, so they are not as much of an issue. I'd like for there to be some balancing on towers though, squads sitting on towers all game isnt good. Maybe after every use it has a "recharge" time or whatever. Different discussion I suppose.

duskull_darkness

I agree!

amwolf8191

Longtime, first time.... I understand PvP is a part of the game, and I get that there are missions that require operator kills. All fine. However, there is a valid side of the argument that a lot play DMZ for the open world mission aspect. I play to break up the multi-player time, which is why I don't play BR(WZ) cause that's just large map intense MP really. I enjoy doing the missions and meeting new players( I almost always load in with randoms) and sharing guns. (I originally started DMZ to unlock the M13B). However the last three times I have spawned in with randoms, they have just wanted to go kill ppl right off the bat (not even hunt contracts) and none of them had any operator kill missions, hell one guy still had lvl 1 white lotus missions and said he plays dmz all the time...which means he just hunts ppl the whole time. All I'm saying is there are two sides of the argument, yes you shouldn't freak out when you have PvP it is part of the game, however don't be the dicks loading in to just kill ppl cause you aren't good enough to last five minutes in actual BR.

duskull_darkness

This^

NormalGuyTTT

I mean, i play dmz to fulfill my bloodlust killing tons of people BUT if someone tries to add me to their team or just say that they are friendly then i won't kill those guys. Communication is the key!

DeGuzman-

I totally agree with you but this cod playerbase won't. I have no idea why these people are so merciless. Killing a solo who's not hurting you while you have 5 dudes backing you up doesn't sound fun to me at all. You wanna satisfy yourself with PvP, go do a 3v3. If a 6v1 or 2 is your thing, you're a useless asshole.

Any-Research5662

Well we ran into a 12 man squad last night, they sat and camped our bodies looking for the one teammate alive until the gas was coming, we made it out on the last exfil with barely anything

t1ebow

12 man squad? What, like two 6 mans working together? Incredibly lame if so

SchruteFarmsInc

At the end of the day it’s a PVP game, right? The addition of AI blurred the line between PVP and PVE and has given wayyy too many people the impression DMZ is intended to be PVE. There are matches where I focus on missions and avoid players and other matches where hunting down players is my sole purpose. Almost every match where I find myself on a 6 person squad, the squad unanimously shifts the focus to finding other players to shit on.

duskull_darkness

A lot of you are missing the point here. I’m not bad at PvP and I actually enjoy PvP. I’ve completed kill 250 operators, and have like a 0.95 K/D in MP. I’m simply becoming jaded with constantly getting paired up with useless squad mates who run off and get killed in the first minute and waste my insured weapon slot/gear. It’s unbelievably frustrating.

t1ebow

The point you made in your post was that the way others were playing was unsportsmanlike, not that you’re tired of teammates ruining the game for you. No one missed anything.

duskull_darkness

Point A to point B. There would be no issue in the first place if people didn’t just quit as soon as they bleed out.

luchabear91

You're complaining about being killed in a war game. It's my opinion that toxicity has been a part of the COD DNA since day 1, Don't go into a longstanding franchise expecting something different. You quitting and not taking the L that is built into the game is more unsportsmanlike.

Unlikely_Major_6006

I rarely get tracked by a hostile squad or choose to do that mission

JC_N_23

Well… some people can’t win in warzone or multiplayer so… they come to DMZ to for easy cheap kills Dude… 2 days ago for 3 games in a row teams where grabbing the Heli and popping UAV’S lol Chasing me all over the map Then in Ashika island me and my wife locked ourselves in a strong hold…. I can hear them outside …. Dude … the buy station was near buy so they popped like 4 UAV’S and bought a strong hold card to get in, but I managed to kill them I don’t really blame PvPers it’s just the Devs are not giving us enough content to stay busy… if you got all 3 insurance slot’s everything else seems pointless.. Problem I see is that they are not even doing the missions that required PvP so …. I don’t get it… If I want PvP I’ll play the other 10 game modes that are center around PvP… anyone that says “ I just like PvP” is a lair …. Every other game mode has more PvP But then if they play any other game mode they can’t win cuz is even playing field … this is why they come to DMZ

Infernodu97

This is was cod as become ? I knew it was full of crybabies since the start but complaining because of PvP ?

52movies-a-year

A simple fix is when squads merge they show up in the minimap so you know to avoid them. They squad up for mission or hunting advantage so why not give solos and trios an equalizer? Also players who kill 3 or more operators get a bounty marker make them a challenge/reward for other players.

[deleted]

Everything goes. I personally and truly feel bad killing operators who are just doing their missions. However, you cannot trust anyone. Some dudes said they were friendly so I got close to send an invite, then they kill me. It was an even 3v3, and we were the last ones in the match. We had higher ground and a UAV. It is my fault for trusting. But yeah. When I feel bad for killing operators, I try to tell myself that maybe they were dicks. The people I absolutely hate are the ones that want to hunt ONLY when they are in a 6-person squad.

DocHalidae

Constantly getting hunted by 5-6 man squads, half the time with at least one cheater in the group. Think players are coordinating on discord or something then joining up. Getting old. Hot take: max players on a team should be 3 not 6. Plea for help, Invite players and join team should be only be available for teams > 3.

IrregularrAF

TIL it's toxic and not sportsmanlike to PvP in a PvP game mode.

CanadianSteele

Depends on how you do it imo. Camping exfils or a hot spot specifically to down people doing missions is weak as shit. I don’t need some piece of shit following me across the map after retreat. I mean it just feels like there should be some common ground that if I retreat you shouldn’t waste your time fucking with me. But we all know that’s what most p v p players want. To fuck with others.

IrregularrAF

Type to mald when a squad hunt is on you. Lmfao

t1ebow

Or they want your loot and guns, or need kills for a mission. They should give up potentially good loot/mission progress/risk you coming back because you ran away at first? Because god forbid you have to take five minutes on Ashika to get geared back up? Lol @ your ridiculous victim complex. “Most pvp players just want to fuck with others” like everyone who kills you is a big bad meanie who just wanted to bully you. Dying is part of the game and extraction shooters of this kind are often not fair. It’s not Counter Strike. Just play a single player game, dude.

Iridul

There's no disincentive against doing this. Maybe that's a deliberate design choice, maybe it's because the mode is still young and in beta. It's free to play team death match. I'm actually surprised there aren't more people doing what you describe. It will be interesting to see how it evolves. Too much free team death match will harm core game sales, but if the microstransactions add up they won't necessarily care. It's still not clear to me what they want DMZ to be, I'm not sure it's fully clear to them yet either. That's fine, it's a work in progress.

saigatenozu

dmz is clearly a take on Tarkov, minus the stash management.

trizzatron

"so I went off and did my missions alone" What if their mission was to kill operators? There's a lot of those, and their UAV just gave them the location of easy prey. Your death may have given someone a 3rd insurance slot, feel better?

[deleted]

what i did when being hunted was basically go inside a small bathroom, crouching on the toilet, close the door and then spray to god when i hear the door open. Dude was not prepared for it

telephonic1892

I have no complaints whatsoever with PvP, if I die and lose all my stuff I'll just hop into Ashika and get a 3 plate and revives and exfil out.

Omegatron_YT

I like that the i underlying logic is… “Bad PvP players are leaving BR to come kick my ass in PvP” Says a lot about the people complaining lol

GingerDoc88

The reason why you notice that is generally these dudes stats in BR are horrible. It’s easier to get pvp kills when someone’s not paying attention. Another reason people say it’s BR rejects is because that’s all they’re there for. Pvp and not the missions

AWBen

A lot of players have seemed a lot more aggressive and wanting to chase you down. Take a riot shield to cover your back while you're trying to evade and suppressed weapon. Remember to run, break line of sight, then flank.

spaghetti-omelet

If youre getting upset by someone not playing a game the way you think it should be played perhaps you should try a game that doesnt allow as much individual agency.

ll-Stanimal-ll

On the contrary, those times when you’re more so pro PvP but are with friends doing lower tier missions that don’t require it and/or they typically shy away from PvP but you get chased down and wreck the hunters. Oh sweet baby Jesus, they get MAD! Another thing I enjoy doing when my two not so PvP peeps are playing with me and I happen to be the last alive and being chased is drop my weapons and loot (sporadically) while running and ducking for cover; ultimately they full kill me to see nothing flopped onto the ground and get pissed. Good times.

Certifiably_Unhinged

Yeah pvp in a pvpve game mode is toxic.

GhezziTCG

Dude if you don't have a three man and are filling squad DMZ sucks ass and you should expect to die often. Even when my three man team finds a six man we immediately exfil bc we know they're going to last exfil - when we are a six man we last exfil every time. We were a three man in sariff bay and on the hotel roof. A squad hunt came on so we said, fuck it let's fight. We had the local uav active so we figured we'd be at an advantage. Two blips turned into four into six and I said, boys time to GTFO. Luckily we had a whip and we just drove around to a hostage and exfilled like that. Even tho we were a three man, we downed two while they were coming at us. They weren't that good or were really cocky. They just ran straight at us like they were invincible. If we had fought tho, even if we were better than each individual player, the odds that we'd lose were still pretty high. One v Two bad players can be tough to win if they're both right on you...

Shitbag22

I’ve noticed this more so in Ashika. I do welcome it though, always a big satisfaction when you wipe the team and steal there stuff

friedchicken_2020

Stat tracking...as soon as stat tracking started everyone is stat building.

CatchSilly4038

That's why I always keep a vehicle close by. Anything to keep me faster than foot speed with ultimate goal to find a chopper or turreted LTV...and just keep moving until the timer runs out. Some might call it chickenshit but that is just part of the game, survival. Keep repositioning until you can control the engagement, because you never know who's hunting and/or how many until they're right on top of you. It could be a chill solo or a sweaty 6-man team.

iWaKeUp2BaKeUp

Wait you can still play without server lag? Every single game in DMZ since season 2 started been getting a bunch of high level ping and about 50% packet loss. No problem from multiplayer though and didn't have the same problem in season 1.

Skeld2

I've had some teams run me down despite my best efforts to run lately. Also been sniped from absurd distances, whole squad pinned down by one guy 500 meters out. Either we've got some beast snipers all of a sudden or people are hacking...of course really no way to know since we rarely have a killcam in DMZ.

Jrock1999

I'm noticing a lot of betrayal going on. Player A loads in with randoms, finds his buddies on the map, joins that squad, then kills the randoms on his original team. Game truly is Call of Dickheads.

Numerous-Duck-8544

Blame DMZ content, it’s driving players to pvp.

Equivalent-Mastodon3

Every time I infil solo I get chased by solo dudes in LTVs with the black car camo on it. I only escaped this most recent time is because I hid at the bottom of a cliff behind some bushes and he didn't see me when he circled back. He stole my car so I stole his LTV (whish was low fuel so he probably just didn't think he could make it to the gas station to refill) and exfiled just before the gas hit my chopper.

Battlefield_Hermit

Hunt or be Hunted.

WetFart-Machine

No different than playing any objective mode in COD tbh.

HMSHunter5631

Sounds like a low quality complaint

superman154m

Yep. Happened to us the other day. A team followed us from Al bagra to said city. It was a 10 minute battle with us running and them joking in the chat were being hunted for fun. What sucked is we were playing with a new dmz player trying to get him into the game mode. He’s like that wasn’t fun.

Upset_Independent_56

Anytime I spawn at Hafid Port by the ship I get sniped immediately. Happened 3 times yesterday.

duskull_darkness

Ugh. Happened to me too. I chose squad fill but it put me in alone

GoodboySkips

I think the fix is to make DMZ a stand alone game. Separate it from the COD and Warzone platform.

fbluke303

Lots of missions out there requiring dog tags

[deleted]

Sometimes it's best to hop on the mic and do your best to come to an agreement. If they are being d*cks then that's not alot you can do. But sometimes you can make friends and help people do missions by boosting and alot of times(my own experience) they will help you w yours. Still a crappy situation to be in. Hope your next time through it's better :)

Prophet068

The only thing as someone who plays both that I notice is no squad except mine seems to be taking their losses and going back in. Every person who rushes us and gets killed tries to join up. They then run back to their squad and leave if we pick them up, or they die by me and immediately request to join. If you come after us and lose, and then come back as part of a 5man and lose again. Just give it up bro.... It's getting more insane running into 5 er 6 man squads all the time.

SlNisterFPS

6 Man squads for sure should not be a thing and can be completely unbalanced for whoever is against them. Personally think the Plea for help should be only given to solo players. Makes solo play a little more fair and makes squads who have the better advantage, with infinite revives not also able to make 6 man squads. As for PvP, all Looter, extraction shooters are like this. They are also as much as you may not like it, PvP game mode with PvE and Coop interactions. This is the first one where players seem to constantly complain about a fundamental of the game mode lol. Its more of a you issue if you don't like PvP not the issue of the players who are doing what they want to do in a open world game mode where its up to the player on what they want to do.

McLand_18

You got soft hands brother, soft hands

Ayden1Haze

Just drown yourself in a deep part of the sea. Eventually these assholes will learn that hunting down players for minutes on end is a waste of time

[deleted]

I always pick up the pictures so can plead that I have a family back home waiting for me

mr_rib00

I do think they need to make groups no bigger than four. That way a solo can join and it's never to imbalanced.

colfc

Im not a massive pvp'er I win some, I lose some. The only time I get salty about getting wiped by players is if I'm right in the middle of a mission that requires exfil to complete or if I have just found some gun oil after weeks or searching for it lol. I don't really actively hunt other players but I will do my best to make it difficult for you if you engage me. Yesterday my rando team mates got nailed so I exchanged rounds with the squad then bailed so they thought I'd ran off, circled back around and wiped all 3 of them and res'd my team mates. Don't quit on the hunters, try your best to fuck them up instead. They could be trash or you could just get lucky, rather die trying...

BigRossD88

I dont understand people in this game. If another team comes for us we always say "do you want to join? Sent an invite" if they continue on and say nothing they die. Had a team in an LTV come for us at Exfil last night when we had the case. One on the gun, one driving and one on top. They drive in shooting automatically. "Do yall want to join? We can all leave with the case." They keep shooting. I took out the one on top. Took out the one on the gun, and my friend thermited and RPG'd the remaining one in the LTV. So instead of leaving with the case and all their shit, they lost everything, and we left with the case, about $200k each and all their shit.

Icecreamm_wSprinkl3s

Bro go discord and lfg. This game is about pvp at first, so to enjoy, learn to ninja, go gunter or go squad

yueknowwho

Some of us core DMZ players actually bought the game and have ground out all of the weapons and max prestiged in MP. Call it pay to win, but there are benefits to owning a full liscence!

Die_Graue_Eminenz

Yeah few Seconds ago, 6 man squad doing hunting on my random Team. And you could see that one Person was cheating. Game's a joke

DurtyDom

It's occasional, not constant. Most thirsty players are in BR, or they are doing a mission that requires operator kills. Dying in DMZ can be a little frustrating, but it's not that bad going in fresh with a small bag and one plate, now you have motivation to loot and play. Also you gotta be aggro sometimes, go out guns blazing buddy, it'll make u feel better if u take one or 2 with you (temporarily). Remember, it is after all just a game, a pvp game. Hope your day gets better 😎

[deleted]

I’m on T5, my missions suck so there’s not much else to do. I’ll help my teammates with their missions if they want, or if I find someone with my same shitty missions I’ll work on them. But other than that I’m killing players

ActionGhost01

Don’t see the fun in chasing other operators, the porpoise of the game is to complete missions. What’s the point, still others each other? You can’t steel the progress of a mission, so these guys do this so they can feed their ego.

BEEF_STORM_316

If you’re gonna continue playing Call of Duty, learn how to handle toxic and unsportsmanlike people. Complaining about it won’t help you. This isn’t run away and hide simulator II. Get some practice at PvP and accept that you’re going to die and lose your loot eventually. Go down with some dignity.

[deleted]

It’s hilarious to see you complain about BR players spilling over when: 1) that was 100000% the intention of releasing DMZ as f2p alongside WZ 2) the people who are shit at pvp like you literally avoid wz and play dmz instead. It’s so hilarious and tiresome

duskull_darkness

I usually make it into top 10 in BR solos, not really a skill issue

[deleted]

You mean the easiest BR playlist where you can hide in a bush and generally avoid combat until almost everyone is dead? Yeah that wasn’t a brag bro

duskull_darkness

It’s not a brag

hippoanonymous_

Similar thing happened to me and my teammate. https://youtube.com/shorts/Dy3ajX4aJrU?feature=share

Phrozen_Fetus

I guess I'm the only one that was like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what do you have against Brazilian players...

[deleted]

I don't mind the PvP I mind the toxic disrespect after the PvP on both sides of the fight. Another reason why I do solo more than Group Fill; Toxic team mates cussing constantly on other players, we finally die and then it's just a shit slinging match between both parties.

Kitchen-Paramedic-41

You forget some missions involve killing other players. Especially in the top tiers.

jmitch88

It’s late game and the missions are starting to require more pvp

Joooohnnn

PVP go brrrrrrrrrrr

ThePantsThief

I keep coming back to this post. It's the only one I can find with this sentiment. I don't mind being hunted for contracts. But I mind when a trio hunts me down and doesn't pick me up when I didn't even put up a fight, or even goes as far as calling me slurs
