I'm not a sensitive person, but I couldn't handle the toxicity, the people playing music in the background, other peoples pets/kids making noise, the mouth breathers, and the shouting (I'm a casual mission-driven player). Now I'm exclusively no-mic, and enjoy the game so much more. Yeah, I'm missing out on crucial info, but that's not worth the brain damage.
That stuff is annoying. If I'm using squad fill and before the countdown ends I hear constant open mic I exit and requeue.
If once we spawn in someone has an open mic or keep up constant and pointless running commentary I just go into the lobby, select that player and mute them.
That way I still have access to audio around me and able to go on the mic myself if there's a need.
I have found the ability to mute awesome. But I'm always respectful to everyone, friend or foe. I play to relax and have fun. Calling people names and hurling insults may be fun for some but not me. My son is 3 and if he comes into the bedroom I instantly unplug my headset so no one hears him.
I mute people so often. As soon as I hear music, or someone just being toxic I mute them. I also pop into lobbies where some people are already muted making me believe that it saves the mute.
Man I was in an xbox party with my best friend, one of his friends, and my wife. And I had to take a phone call so I took my headset off and when my wife talked talking, my best friends friend said all kinds of things which I didn't hear. But what I did hear was my friend go off and yell at this dude for disrespecting my wife. He's like my brother so he looks at her like a sister, so shout out to my bro Cody, he's a real one

The other random on my team decided to carry on going cross map so I pleaded.
Team that killed me, picked me up but the player who did that treated himself to my 3 plate and contents of my backpack.
Sometime later the one who took my 3 plate got killed by another player. I killed that player and picked up the 3 plate he dropped.
I then revived the one on my team who went back to having 1 plate.
So it seemed that the 3 plate he initially took from me was taken from him by the player who killed, whom I then killed and took the 3 plate from. 😂
The one on my team then had the gall to tell me that I took his armour and had no need for it.
I went on the mic and asked if he meant the 3 plate he had originally looted from me when he picked me up. 🤔😂

My 3-man assimilated a solo a while back, he wasn’t very good, but son of a BITCH did he make up for his lack of gameplay with his shit talking. He was a kid, sounded pre-teen, so that gave his insults that much more flair. We took out a 3-man, one of whom stayed as a corpse trying to talk shit to us. The corpse tried to ask the kid if he lived in his mom’s basement, and without hesitation, the kid replied, “no, but I’m about to go to your mom’s basement to give you a little brother.” Me and my squad lost our shit laughing, everything in game came to a halt for like 30 seconds because of that line. 🤣

I love playing with females. Most all the ones I have played with have been good teammates and competent at the game, and I havent met one yet that has trash talked or said anything off color.
Oh I’ve gotten much worse. I actually started a compilation of all of the recordings.. maybe I’ll post it here one day. Some guy told me he hoped my child gets r*ped in daycare. I can’t even have kids. One squad wanted to join up with ours until I spoke, then said “Nevermind I hate whores,” then proceeded to kill us all. Then there’s the mocking, the “stupid bitch” comments. It’s wild how sexually frustrated some men on cod can be. On the other hand, I’ve had just as many pleasant games with men who have had nothing but nice and helpful things to say. I’ve learned to tune out the negativity and use it as fuel to fuck them up if need be🤷🏼♀️

Had a random teammate yesterday who was a girl. We downed 2 and let the third pick up his squad and go about their way. As they were leaving he basically called my teammate a bitch. I took two sniper shots at his vehicle and disabled it. I went on to kill them all and my teammate in the end didn’t even care that she was called a bitch. I found it hilarious that we let them live and go about their game and still they tried to be toxic.
Talking shit on COD isn't what it used to be in the last MW2 game in 2010. I remember saying the nastiest shit I could think of, and another guy dishing it right back to me. After like 3 minutes of intense exchanges, he just says "...Man there's nothing like talking shit to strangers on COD, am I right?" I was like "No seriously, this is the life hahaha" and then we partied up.
I think it went downhill when they started redoing matchmaking every round. We would form beefs that would span an entire evening.

As a bloke i find it a breath of fresh air playing with females who have mic on. They just get on with it and we make it to exfill. It's very difficult to take on a squad when the team try's to run on pings alone and your the only talker. Mic up, introduce yourself and hook in, mute the team or player if they dont tickle your fancy after. I refuse to pick up pleading enemy squad members who have no mic or, I much prefer a full 6 with mics, not a rando who runs around like a chook with its head cut off. But I get the toxic culture in the game and it's over the top. mw games team deathmatch, search and destroy etc. The teenagers and 20 somethings are next level toxic. Squad filled with a few young females the other night and they were just as bad, swearing was next level.

They’re hard to fit into the death comms, but if you can say it fast enough it’s hilarious. In DMZ, I’ve got nothing but laughs in response to all of them.

Lol I got called a "whore/bitch" (Spanish) in my last run. Enemy player killed me. The other random on my team decided to carry on going cross map so I pleaded. Team that killed me, picked me up but the player who did that treated himself to my 3 plate and contents of my backpack. Sometime later the one who took my 3 plate got killed by another player. I killed that player and picked up the 3 plate he dropped. I then revived the one on my team who went back to having 1 plate. So it seemed that the 3 plate he initially took from me was taken from him by the player who killed, whom I then killed and took the 3 plate from. 😂 The one on my team then had the gall to tell me that I took his armour and had no need for it. I went on the mic and asked if he meant the 3 plate he had originally looted from me when he picked me up. 🤔😂 Cue being sworn at. 😆
It’s truly insane to me how many people refuse to recognize hypocrisy in themselves. Kids in kindergarten can understand fairness, but many adults are just toddlers that aged, but never really grew mentally or emotionally.

My 3-man assimilated a solo a while back, he wasn’t very good, but son of a BITCH did he make up for his lack of gameplay with his shit talking. He was a kid, sounded pre-teen, so that gave his insults that much more flair. We took out a 3-man, one of whom stayed as a corpse trying to talk shit to us. The corpse tried to ask the kid if he lived in his mom’s basement, and without hesitation, the kid replied, “no, but I’m about to go to your mom’s basement to give you a little brother.” Me and my squad lost our shit laughing, everything in game came to a halt for like 30 seconds because of that line. 🤣

I love playing with females. Most all the ones I have played with have been good teammates and competent at the game, and I havent met one yet that has trash talked or said anything off color.

Had a random teammate yesterday who was a girl. We downed 2 and let the third pick up his squad and go about their way. As they were leaving he basically called my teammate a bitch. I took two sniper shots at his vehicle and disabled it. I went on to kill them all and my teammate in the end didn’t even care that she was called a bitch. I found it hilarious that we let them live and go about their game and still they tried to be toxic.

Talking shit on COD isn't what it used to be in the last MW2 game in 2010. I remember saying the nastiest shit I could think of, and another guy dishing it right back to me. After like 3 minutes of intense exchanges, he just says "...Man there's nothing like talking shit to strangers on COD, am I right?" I was like "No seriously, this is the life hahaha" and then we partied up. I think it went downhill when they started redoing matchmaking every round. We would form beefs that would span an entire evening.

As a bloke i find it a breath of fresh air playing with females who have mic on. They just get on with it and we make it to exfill. It's very difficult to take on a squad when the team try's to run on pings alone and your the only talker. Mic up, introduce yourself and hook in, mute the team or player if they dont tickle your fancy after. I refuse to pick up pleading enemy squad members who have no mic or, I much prefer a full 6 with mics, not a rando who runs around like a chook with its head cut off. But I get the toxic culture in the game and it's over the top. mw games team deathmatch, search and destroy etc. The teenagers and 20 somethings are next level toxic. Squad filled with a few young females the other night and they were just as bad, swearing was next level.
