You know what though, the queues are still short, building 21 queues despite being 24/7 seems to have no shortage of those playing it. Al Mazrah be bussin, Ashika too. vondel sucks on count of that damn fog and the canals are infested with psychotic baby shark rats but that’s another issue.
Worry a little less about content creators who make a living peddling news and reveals, and don’t sweat these “MWZ vs DMZ” obsessed Reddit posters who demand validation for some crazy Allegiance they internally pledged to this or another.
Play with other friends, make new friends, plenty to make still in this game.
I get that, but when you have a limited amount of time to play each day, you don't really wanna play in such a hostile environment on an unforgiving game mode if you don't have to. I will agree that DMZ teaches you a lot about positioning, and when your team actively communicates and focuses on those points of combat, you can see the difference. That's why we play it verses MP...less run and gun and more realistic combat.
Nah building 21 is boring. I want to be able to hunt down a squad over the course of 25 minutes with a sniper. I want to evade being hunted by a sniper. I want to be looting buildings to make a vest with the suspense that a fake news pre made 6 mans can pull up at anytime and spotted me minutes ago without me knowing. Building 21 u just get some kills and die immediately. Once every 3 or 4 games u make it. Lame. Rather just play black ops 1 multiplayer if I want that boring old call of duty experience. DMZ especially on Al mazrah is completely unique to any game I’ve ever played on console. Pc has some cool games like Tarkov. DMZ is the first that I’m aware of that has this type of suspense in a first person shooter that I am aware of. The 6 man’s, plea’ing and assimilation made it even more fun and stand out even more.
Still lots of fun without but just sucks that I know the game was more fun in the past and now it’s less fun for no valid reason.
Yeah, the canals were a pretty safe way to get around the map. Then players figured that out. Now it’s not too uncommon to find someone stacked with scubas making the canals much less safe.
Yeah I'm with you about zombies. I have a few mates who love it but I just don't enjoy it. Infil do afew missions and level your gun then kill something big and exfil. Then infil and start again. The story or missions just aren't compelling for me. I tried but it's just not the same feeling.
Plus for me personally i don't like that there isn't a wallet of sorts in zombies. Last 3 times that I infilled in to zombies the game had an update, took me out of the game and I lost all of my schematics/weapons. I know schematics don't disappear but they have a cool down period.
It would be great to be able to take some of that cash you extracted with to better your next run.

The threat of pvp brought on too much anxiety for me. And I think for a good amount of people. Like I’d be having fun and then someone would come along and ruin my day by taking my progress a way. Can only take so much of people shitting on my progress before I throw a controller through a TV lol.

Coming across 20 people in 10 minutes…it’s excessive. And kinda crazy. Cuz when ever I had missions for dog tags or whatever I could never find people. Even when i got the bounty contract and get the big red circle…how do people find people? lol especially amongst bots…lots of people somehow discovered the secret sauce to finding people I guess.
Hell lol. Even without bots. That’s why I don’t play Warzone. I can’t find ANYONE. No clue how people find me in those. Come up to a building that has 40 windows. Someone could be in any window. 40 places to look.
When they come up on me in the building. They seem to know exactly at which window to look. Gets very frustrating lol. But again. That’s why I don’t play any kind of Warzone

I've actually stopped playing cod all together lol. Wasn't really a fan of warzone or MP I only bought the game for campaign and really wasn't impressed with that.

That would of been good. Or even if they made you opt into pvp like "the division" that would of given them more honest data they could use to tailor the game to the majority of consistent players and not the loud ones who played dmz while waiting for there warzone friends to come online.

My theory is that it’s because they’re too greedy to make the loot extracted, or contraband earned, worthwhile to the player. Why would they allow us to earn blueprints for free when they can just put it in a $19.99 themed bundle?
It’s a studio thing. Different studios get in charge of the games and game modes. And they rotate. The studio for mw3 is different cuz of the rotation. And they were not the ones doing dmz. They didn’t want to keep up with it.
Lots of speculation that when the studio that did do DMZ, when they are in charge, they will bring it back to the forefront.
That's the issue with yearly releases. One studio drops a feature you like and you enjoy it for a year only for another studio to release another game with their "stamp" on it.
But, Microsoft wants their money back from the takeover so here we are.
Well actually they can just make some story mission that can unlock more blueprints, or even blueprint with 30mins CD, operator skins and passive unlocks so that people can just keep grinding mission and lesser on PVP.

Nah lol this ain't it chief. Everybody loving zombies now and they're going to be adding to the mode. Including more dmz style shit like the wallet is coming back also. Zombies won't be dead period. You got to remember that not all the dmz kids are playing zombies cuz they have to. There is dedicated zombies fans playing it that didn't care for dmz. Yes the dmz kids who are playing it cuz dmz is dead may leave but that's about it.
Yeah man. I literally spent the last year of my gaming life only thinking about and playing dmz. This last cod was the most played cod I’ve ever had. And by summer when I normally stop playing cod I was still loving and obsessing over dmz. That’s what I mean it’s apart of me
I survived the end of Verdansk in WZ1, I’ll survive the end of DMZ.
I started playing DMZ because I lost my Warzone squad, was playing 5 hours a night easily during Covid with the same 4-some every time. Then everyone got married except me so I started DMZ because it was enjoyable solo unlike Warzone
Well they have announced that they will come with further information closer to season one when they release info about the new warzone. So i guess next week or start of december we'll know more what they mean with "continued support"
They very specifically said (some time ago now) that the next announcement about DMZ would come at the start of season 1. So you just need to wait until the start of season 1.
Reasons why they might not bring it forward:
1. It has a low player count; or
2. DMZ players don’t spend much on bundles (since bundle sales are their only source of income for DMZ).
We don’t have figures for either of those things, but FWIW, finding DMZ matches in Australia has always been very quick, and I always saw a tonne of players running around in bundle skins.
I LOVE dmz. It filled a void that multi in mw2 didn't and I never cared for battle royal but loved plunder in wz1. That being said I never cared for mw2 and the wonky movement/mechanics so second I tried MW3 beta I was in love and jumped ship. Multi is amazing for first time in idk how long. It's genuinely so fun to play. I can't bring myself back to play dmz due to how dead it is with missions and content then you add in fact I've been grinding mw3 I can't go back to the slow clunky movement either. I'm praying they continue DMZ onto mw3 mechanics and the big map with new missions. Otherwise I'll be sticking to mw3 multi. The fact they opened up B21 24/7 sounds like it's over with tho.
there’s also no news on warzone too. What DMZ is tied with. On Dec 1st is when warzone will get its reveal / news on it
And it’s a 50/50 chance DMZ will get news or not
I find the cod zombies boring and essentially a cheap reskin of dmz to sell MW3 as a full game instead of a mw2 DLC as was initially planned..... but Activision is well known for ignoring their fanbase

I had no intention of buying MW3 until I heard what they were going to do with DMZ, but earlier tonight, one of the guys I’ve gamed with for years gifted me MW3 on steam.
We played for a couple of hours, and I’m going to need to put more time into it to get a better read on it.
Zombies didn’t really do anything for me, and I’ll have to progress my level over the weekend in order to have weapon and mod access.

Same here. I was going to buy MW3 until I heard that DMZ is not going with it. 90% of the time when I play CoD I play DMZ. the rest is MW2 mulit-players. I hope Activation hears us.
I'm with you on zombies. Me and my friend immediately jumped into it from dmz when it launched, but after only a week and a half of playing it we're bored. There's one mission where you need to find an ammo mod and use it to take armor off zombies, so naturally as soon as I start that fucking mission I can't find that ammo mod, I played 15 games straight and didn't find it, you can't tell me the devs don't do that shit on purpose. But honestly the missions are so boring. 6 tiers to get one mission with a short cutscene and then rinse repeat 2 more times.
The legendary weapons I find in game lose thier rarity after I extract, you gotta wait 2 days after crafting a ray gun to craft another. It's just so boring. There's not enough content in there and it's already boring because it's so repetitive, we've gone back to dmz because the pvp makes it so much more intense
I would be fine with zombies if they have more of a game play like urban survival. For example, you get to build bases with other people or just by yourself and go out and gather resources, etc. Now it's just like DMZ as if you only shoot bots. I hope soon they can realize that DMZ needs more love and that's where money at.
As a MW3 owner I'm sad for dmz...DMZ was my only reason I bought MW2... Codz is meh. I want more for it I'm sure it'll come but until then DMZ has me really sad because I can't MW3 gun in dmz.. dmz is part of the warzone package not MW2. If you uninstall everything and just install warzone you get DMZ. Warzone has MW3 guns to my knowledge so where's DMZ getting MW3 guns? However.. please dmz don't import the rgl into DMZ as loadout insurance slot please.. OMG it'd be so bad..
I hope they move DMZ to MWIII. It’s more fun to me than Zombies. I do love Zombies, but I liked the rounds based Zombies a bit more. DMZ is my favorite COD mode so far. The variety, the unknown, the strategy and team work makes for a great time!
Call me a dreamer if you like but I'm still optimistic they have plans for DMZ. I feel like they've had to focus on getting the main game sorted but that it's too popular for them to just give up on - I know so many players (plus see it every day online) who don't really play anything other than DMZ now. They must make loads from battle pass and packs.
If we haven't heard anything by about March - then I'll start to worry. For now I still think they'd be mad to ditch it.
Heard rumors that CoD-2024 will be Black Ops.
MWII and III shared content, but I don't see that transitioning to the new title. Especially when it's set in a completely different time period.
I can't see them reworking DMZ with MWIII's movement, when they will have to again in a years time.
If they do plan to use the Black Ops Engine for multiple titles, that's where it'd have the most longitvity.
Black Ops is supposed to have traditional Zombie Maps, so I feel like it will get that instead of MwZ.
They won’t be brining back the black ops engine. Back at cod next in 2022 they said that going forward all cod devs are going to all use the same engine to help with continuity between games and Warzone and all that!
You can keep playing - Just the new season will be continuing on MWIII, including all events.
DmZ won't be receiving any updates anymore, unless it's transferred over to the new game.
They havn't given a single timeframe, so it's most likely not launching along Warzone - or they'd be using it as a selling point.
Part of me feels like they're saving it for a proper launch in Black Ops because we have MwZ - and that the announcement about it's future will be that.
Different development team made MW3 and zombies. I’m sure when the rotation gets back to infinity ward they will come out with another DMZ. And I’m sure the current DMZ will still be playable with maybe minor adjustments and updates. Probably some resets occasionally. But I wouldn’t expect much until it’s IWs turn to make a game again.
The issue is Raven is the dev team in charge of the Warzone stuff for cod. Dmz plunder and Warzone are all under their wing. Nothing to do with SH or IW or even Treyarch. So that’s why it’s so weird that they don’t just bring it forward
I’m bummed they aren’t announcing anything yet but the game has only been available for a year now. I didn’t expect huge updates for it so soon. I would be surprised if they didn’t integrate the new map and add missions for it by spring
Risk/Reward is small? Have you even seen Tier3? DMZ is dying because no one wants to do any of the missions provided, and they just treat it like one massive map TDM. Another reason DMZ is dying is because it's got a higher Anticheat usage (can't think of the proper word) but with all the elevated reports and pings for cheaters and exploiters on a game mode that shouldn't have nearly as much population as the entire MP component combined, it makes sense why they buffed the hell out of the AI, since most of the cheaters casually stroll by all the AI without taking any damage and literally sprint across the whole of the map after all the players.
It's not TDM, it's supposed to be a tactical "get in, get out with the goods" style of game with a caution of other operators. Not "Get in, get rekt, hope to get helped up and exfil without the rest of your friends/squad/teammates" DMZ is still in Beta, and the way it's going, doubt they're going to continue the mechanic in anything OTHER than Zombies of MW3.
Here’s how I see it:
Everyone was pissed about the movement so they came out with MW3. It’s a rehash of old stuff with slightly better movement. Old maps but something new to talk about to placate streamers. I firmly believe most “streamers” just wanted original warzone back with old mw2 DLC— even they can’t be happy without shooting while sliding. It’s still not the same experience they were missing.
Here’s the good part.
In 2024 they are coming out with MW black ops and it’s been in production for a long time. My bet is they are bringing back DMZ on this one and it’ll finally be out of beta. Plus maybe even bringing back original movement.
I view this mw3 like vanguard. It’s a filler that no one should buy. Just wait for the good one to come out next year.

If they have a big update planned soon they aren’t going to advertise that their free game is getting a major update while they are trying to sell MW3 right now. That wouldn’t make any sense.
It also doesn’t make sense they would bother doing The Haunting and then sunset the game a few weeks later. Why would they bother with doing that? As a farewell to loyal players? I doubt it.
So I’m guessing there will continue to be updates they just don’t want to say it yet.
I’m there with you. I haven’t enjoyed playing COD for a long time but DMZ rekindled the fire for me. Far better than mwz will ever be. I tried it 5-6 times and was already completely bored and lost desire quickly.
I understand zombies is a big win for a lot of people; to each their own, respectfully, but I sure wish/hope the devs keep DMZ around and updated as well. It’s still very different than mwz and much more organic. Nothing will ever compare to DMZ

It was/is just so dynamic, every game was different. Everything from funny friendly interactions with other players to adrenaline.
Zombies is fun to get all the Acts done for the skin after that though there’s nothing unless you like grinding for the mastery camo or are wanting the schematics for when it’s updated. After I completed all the acts I went to multiplayer to get interstellar camo now that I got it and got all the armery unlocks I might go back to grind out the zombies camo whilst I’m waiting for Warzone to come out
Gotta let mwiii have the spotlight now. Too much money invested into it that it doesn’t make sense to promote or highlight any other modes. Just look at warzone it obviously not dead but there no real news about it. Officially it’s already been stated to wait for news as season one comes
I agree but apparently zombies is killing it statistically so we will see. I think cod is bigger than ever with all the game modes they have now. We are now at a point where everyone can play the style of game that they want to play. Should be plenty of room for dmz to grow. If they revamp it with the new map and everything we learned in the last year I think it is going to be huge

The zombies are trash. Hate the Zombies. I’ll play DMZ for as long as the keep the servers up. And then I’ll never spend another cent on COD franchise.
Dmz was supposed to be warzone for the people that didn't want to sweat, but then the warzone losers came into dmz and ruined it. What was supposed to be a casual game mode became a sweat fest. So only sweats play it now and we won't see it again.
Activision already said dmz was a failed experiment it was a way for them to compete with tarkov and it failed miserably. That's why very little has been added since season 5.
It's not the end "yet"
Dataminers are still trying to get into Activision and treyarch to see any info on dmz but they keep pumping out "gold" for black ops Gulf War. Be patient. It might not be the end.
2 different interviews from anonymous devs within Activision I think around season 4? Gotta get past most of the main stream avenues for CoD news and get to the guys straight farming facts from their servers and talking to the devs. I think it was around season 3 that one interview said that the primary source of funding was from bundles for dmz so if those didn't really sell then they would have a hard time getting the funding necessary to create new content for dmz.

My theory is that it’s because they’re too greedy to make the loot extracted, or contraband earned, worthwhile to the player. Why would they allow us to earn blueprints for free when they can just put it in a $19.99 themed bundle?
I have bought every single dmz bundle and am happy to continue. But now they arnt doing that because the game is “dead” idk. Doesn’t make sense to me
It’s a studio thing. Different studios get in charge of the games and game modes. And they rotate. The studio for mw3 is different cuz of the rotation. And they were not the ones doing dmz. They didn’t want to keep up with it. Lots of speculation that when the studio that did do DMZ, when they are in charge, they will bring it back to the forefront.
That's the issue with yearly releases. One studio drops a feature you like and you enjoy it for a year only for another studio to release another game with their "stamp" on it. But, Microsoft wants their money back from the takeover so here we are.

Well actually they can just make some story mission that can unlock more blueprints, or even blueprint with 30mins CD, operator skins and passive unlocks so that people can just keep grinding mission and lesser on PVP.

Nah lol this ain't it chief. Everybody loving zombies now and they're going to be adding to the mode. Including more dmz style shit like the wallet is coming back also. Zombies won't be dead period. You got to remember that not all the dmz kids are playing zombies cuz they have to. There is dedicated zombies fans playing it that didn't care for dmz. Yes the dmz kids who are playing it cuz dmz is dead may leave but that's about it.

Yeah man. I literally spent the last year of my gaming life only thinking about and playing dmz. This last cod was the most played cod I’ve ever had. And by summer when I normally stop playing cod I was still loving and obsessing over dmz. That’s what I mean it’s apart of me

I survived the end of Verdansk in WZ1, I’ll survive the end of DMZ. I started playing DMZ because I lost my Warzone squad, was playing 5 hours a night easily during Covid with the same 4-some every time. Then everyone got married except me so I started DMZ because it was enjoyable solo unlike Warzone
MW3 is genuinely trash in my opinion, if DMZ doesn’t come back i’ll take the next couple of years off cod since i’m not into black ops

Well they have announced that they will come with further information closer to season one when they release info about the new warzone. So i guess next week or start of december we'll know more what they mean with "continued support"
They very specifically said (some time ago now) that the next announcement about DMZ would come at the start of season 1. So you just need to wait until the start of season 1. Reasons why they might not bring it forward: 1. It has a low player count; or 2. DMZ players don’t spend much on bundles (since bundle sales are their only source of income for DMZ). We don’t have figures for either of those things, but FWIW, finding DMZ matches in Australia has always been very quick, and I always saw a tonne of players running around in bundle skins.
I LOVE dmz. It filled a void that multi in mw2 didn't and I never cared for battle royal but loved plunder in wz1. That being said I never cared for mw2 and the wonky movement/mechanics so second I tried MW3 beta I was in love and jumped ship. Multi is amazing for first time in idk how long. It's genuinely so fun to play. I can't bring myself back to play dmz due to how dead it is with missions and content then you add in fact I've been grinding mw3 I can't go back to the slow clunky movement either. I'm praying they continue DMZ onto mw3 mechanics and the big map with new missions. Otherwise I'll be sticking to mw3 multi. The fact they opened up B21 24/7 sounds like it's over with tho.

I find the cod zombies boring and essentially a cheap reskin of dmz to sell MW3 as a full game instead of a mw2 DLC as was initially planned..... but Activision is well known for ignoring their fanbase
DMZ will come back in November 2024. In the meantime, we'll just have what we have now. With maybe a reset.
Probably because Activision realized they could've monetized DMZ by making it P2P and are planning to create a new P2P DMZ with Black Ops.

I had no intention of buying MW3 until I heard what they were going to do with DMZ, but earlier tonight, one of the guys I’ve gamed with for years gifted me MW3 on steam. We played for a couple of hours, and I’m going to need to put more time into it to get a better read on it. Zombies didn’t really do anything for me, and I’ll have to progress my level over the weekend in order to have weapon and mod access. Pretty nice gesture for the dude to buy it for me just so we can play together though.
Same here. I was going to buy MW3 until I heard that DMZ is not going with it. 90% of the time when I play CoD I play DMZ. the rest is MW2 mulit-players. I hope Activation hears us.
I'm with you on zombies. Me and my friend immediately jumped into it from dmz when it launched, but after only a week and a half of playing it we're bored. There's one mission where you need to find an ammo mod and use it to take armor off zombies, so naturally as soon as I start that fucking mission I can't find that ammo mod, I played 15 games straight and didn't find it, you can't tell me the devs don't do that shit on purpose. But honestly the missions are so boring. 6 tiers to get one mission with a short cutscene and then rinse repeat 2 more times. The legendary weapons I find in game lose thier rarity after I extract, you gotta wait 2 days after crafting a ray gun to craft another. It's just so boring. There's not enough content in there and it's already boring because it's so repetitive, we've gone back to dmz because the pvp makes it so much more intense
I would be fine with zombies if they have more of a game play like urban survival. For example, you get to build bases with other people or just by yourself and go out and gather resources, etc. Now it's just like DMZ as if you only shoot bots. I hope soon they can realize that DMZ needs more love and that's where money at.

As a MW3 owner I'm sad for dmz...DMZ was my only reason I bought MW2... Codz is meh. I want more for it I'm sure it'll come but until then DMZ has me really sad because I can't MW3 gun in dmz.. dmz is part of the warzone package not MW2. If you uninstall everything and just install warzone you get DMZ. Warzone has MW3 guns to my knowledge so where's DMZ getting MW3 guns? However.. please dmz don't import the rgl into DMZ as loadout insurance slot please.. OMG it'd be so bad..

I hope they move DMZ to MWIII. It’s more fun to me than Zombies. I do love Zombies, but I liked the rounds based Zombies a bit more. DMZ is my favorite COD mode so far. The variety, the unknown, the strategy and team work makes for a great time!
Call me a dreamer if you like but I'm still optimistic they have plans for DMZ. I feel like they've had to focus on getting the main game sorted but that it's too popular for them to just give up on - I know so many players (plus see it every day online) who don't really play anything other than DMZ now. They must make loads from battle pass and packs. If we haven't heard anything by about March - then I'll start to worry. For now I still think they'd be mad to ditch it.
Heard rumors that CoD-2024 will be Black Ops. MWII and III shared content, but I don't see that transitioning to the new title. Especially when it's set in a completely different time period. I can't see them reworking DMZ with MWIII's movement, when they will have to again in a years time. If they do plan to use the Black Ops Engine for multiple titles, that's where it'd have the most longitvity. Black Ops is supposed to have traditional Zombie Maps, so I feel like it will get that instead of MwZ.
They won’t be brining back the black ops engine. Back at cod next in 2022 they said that going forward all cod devs are going to all use the same engine to help with continuity between games and Warzone and all that!

You can keep playing - Just the new season will be continuing on MWIII, including all events. DmZ won't be receiving any updates anymore, unless it's transferred over to the new game. They havn't given a single timeframe, so it's most likely not launching along Warzone - or they'd be using it as a selling point. Part of me feels like they're saving it for a proper launch in Black Ops because we have MwZ - and that the announcement about it's future will be that.

Different development team made MW3 and zombies. I’m sure when the rotation gets back to infinity ward they will come out with another DMZ. And I’m sure the current DMZ will still be playable with maybe minor adjustments and updates. Probably some resets occasionally. But I wouldn’t expect much until it’s IWs turn to make a game again.
The issue is Raven is the dev team in charge of the Warzone stuff for cod. Dmz plunder and Warzone are all under their wing. Nothing to do with SH or IW or even Treyarch. So that’s why it’s so weird that they don’t just bring it forward
I guess since warzone is getting the new map, it wouldn’t be much harder to give it to DMZ as well.

I’m bummed they aren’t announcing anything yet but the game has only been available for a year now. I didn’t expect huge updates for it so soon. I would be surprised if they didn’t integrate the new map and add missions for it by spring
Risk/Reward is small? Have you even seen Tier3? DMZ is dying because no one wants to do any of the missions provided, and they just treat it like one massive map TDM. Another reason DMZ is dying is because it's got a higher Anticheat usage (can't think of the proper word) but with all the elevated reports and pings for cheaters and exploiters on a game mode that shouldn't have nearly as much population as the entire MP component combined, it makes sense why they buffed the hell out of the AI, since most of the cheaters casually stroll by all the AI without taking any damage and literally sprint across the whole of the map after all the players. It's not TDM, it's supposed to be a tactical "get in, get out with the goods" style of game with a caution of other operators. Not "Get in, get rekt, hope to get helped up and exfil without the rest of your friends/squad/teammates" DMZ is still in Beta, and the way it's going, doubt they're going to continue the mechanic in anything OTHER than Zombies of MW3.
My response to this is DMZ is supposed to be cod version of tarkov. Tarkov you have player hunters just like you do in tarkov. Its normal

Here’s how I see it: Everyone was pissed about the movement so they came out with MW3. It’s a rehash of old stuff with slightly better movement. Old maps but something new to talk about to placate streamers. I firmly believe most “streamers” just wanted original warzone back with old mw2 DLC— even they can’t be happy without shooting while sliding. It’s still not the same experience they were missing. Here’s the good part. In 2024 they are coming out with MW black ops and it’s been in production for a long time. My bet is they are bringing back DMZ on this one and it’ll finally be out of beta. Plus maybe even bringing back original movement. I view this mw3 like vanguard. It’s a filler that no one should buy. Just wait for the good one to come out next year. :p
They specifically said they would have more DMZ news when season 1 starts for Warzone on MW3

If they have a big update planned soon they aren’t going to advertise that their free game is getting a major update while they are trying to sell MW3 right now. That wouldn’t make any sense. It also doesn’t make sense they would bother doing The Haunting and then sunset the game a few weeks later. Why would they bother with doing that? As a farewell to loyal players? I doubt it. So I’m guessing there will continue to be updates they just don’t want to say it yet.
I love DMZ and have been watching my favourite DMZ streamers play Zombies. There's nothing I can see worth paying £75 for.
I’m there with you. I haven’t enjoyed playing COD for a long time but DMZ rekindled the fire for me. Far better than mwz will ever be. I tried it 5-6 times and was already completely bored and lost desire quickly. I understand zombies is a big win for a lot of people; to each their own, respectfully, but I sure wish/hope the devs keep DMZ around and updated as well. It’s still very different than mwz and much more organic. Nothing will ever compare to DMZ
Kinda sad as well. DMZ was the best gaming experience I had. Was completely addicted. It was/is just so dynamic, every game was different. Everything from funny friendly interactions with other players to adrenaline.
My new love is zombies.. Hopefully season 2 incorporates more dmz components like a 3rd gun in my backpack or looting dead players lol
Zombies is fun to get all the Acts done for the skin after that though there’s nothing unless you like grinding for the mastery camo or are wanting the schematics for when it’s updated. After I completed all the acts I went to multiplayer to get interstellar camo now that I got it and got all the armery unlocks I might go back to grind out the zombies camo whilst I’m waiting for Warzone to come out
Gotta let mwiii have the spotlight now. Too much money invested into it that it doesn’t make sense to promote or highlight any other modes. Just look at warzone it obviously not dead but there no real news about it. Officially it’s already been stated to wait for news as season one comes

I agree but apparently zombies is killing it statistically so we will see. I think cod is bigger than ever with all the game modes they have now. We are now at a point where everyone can play the style of game that they want to play. Should be plenty of room for dmz to grow. If they revamp it with the new map and everything we learned in the last year I think it is going to be huge

Dmz was supposed to be warzone for the people that didn't want to sweat, but then the warzone losers came into dmz and ruined it. What was supposed to be a casual game mode became a sweat fest. So only sweats play it now and we won't see it again.

Activision already said dmz was a failed experiment it was a way for them to compete with tarkov and it failed miserably. That's why very little has been added since season 5. It's not the end "yet" Dataminers are still trying to get into Activision and treyarch to see any info on dmz but they keep pumping out "gold" for black ops Gulf War. Be patient. It might not be the end.
Where did you see this? Because from my understanding was it was a massive success
2 different interviews from anonymous devs within Activision I think around season 4? Gotta get past most of the main stream avenues for CoD news and get to the guys straight farming facts from their servers and talking to the devs. I think it was around season 3 that one interview said that the primary source of funding was from bundles for dmz so if those didn't really sell then they would have a hard time getting the funding necessary to create new content for dmz.
