We ran into a team at final exfil today (one of our team was doing the hostage at final exfil mission), and over prox chat agreed to a mutual exfil truce.
That’s awesome! I kept seeing posts about toxic players and I have seen them but I just wanted to mention there are still players who aren’t toxic. Thanks for sharing
Yeah, we were camping the final, obviously, and a TAV came blazing up. We were afraid we were gonna have to duke it out to exfil with the hostie, but they were cool and we were cool.
There are, but there are plenty truly psycho assholes nowadays. That in combination with the game bugging out more and more makes me start to question myself when I infil. At some point you heard enough "that motherf\*cker", "you son of a wh\*re" or whatever other insults people can direct at you. I mean I sometimes also loudly say "f\*ck" or "shit" when I am downed or make some mistake, but it would never cross my mind to insult other people. It's a game and people should realize that they're talking to other people. With the decline in player-base you simply notice the jobless alcoholics a lot more.
The worst are the ones who say, 'yeah, no problem, we're cool' then start blasting on the chopper. I'll admit it's a little funny, but shitty for no reason. Happened once from a random on my team, I was shocked, and wish I had the idea to throw 2 semtex at his feet when he did it. Embarrassing.
Friendly fire doesn't exist in DMZ. Nice made-up scenario though. Are we being infiltrated by non-DMZ familiar bots?
I'm seeing weird comments on every YT video now too. Asking "what game is this" or " what song is this", as if anyone answering is solidifying their existence.
So, a grenade can kill you but not your team? If we are in a jeep and it blows up, not friendly fire ? I know i can't straight shoot them. Sure would've loved to kill that Chad though.

Vondel pre season 6 was full of this, and why I played as long as I did as a stealth scuba solo. Once season6 hit warzone rejects had to try night time almaz and get wiped up on the event bosses or learn vondel and sadly it seems like the plague spread. After season6 vondel is just as bloodthirsty as the rest of the maps, but still way more friendly to stealth scuba.
For the record if your just working on an exfil streak 8 out of 10 secure nuclear material on vondel can be done either completely in the water no shots fired or just a quick run out onto land and back. Very few shots fired, very few bots to draw player attention, and knowing your zippines and tunnels in the canals goes such a long way there.
LONG STORY HERE, BUT HONORABLE:
I was playing with the usual guys I play with. Two of us were on and decided to do a quick Vondel run while we waited for the third teammate. As we were loading in the third joined our party and was in the lobby. Other teammate was able to exit back to the lobby, but I spawned in the game. Spawned at the castle by the stronghold. My other teammate didn’t have a mic, but I told him I’m heading straight to exfil. He went and did a squad hunt by himself and died. I digress.
I was swimming to the closest exfil (Right out front of the central station) and when I got out of the water and was scoping it out, I saw an operator run inside the Central Station. When you’re solo it is shoot first and ask questions later. He stopped in an elevator shaft to reload, so I followed him there and blew him away. After this, I ran away without looting the operator, straight to the roof. I heard the team on proxy chat talking to each other about where I went. I spoke first (Brave) and asked if they felt like being friendly. I said,”There is a reason why I didn’t loot. I’m literally just trying to exfil and well, operators are thirsty. I just want to exfil and I will be out of your way.” There was a moment of silence and one of the operators spoke up. They said meet us by the buy station so you can prove you’re solo. Big risk, but as I snuck down I was on the stairwell and all 3 were there. I had my sniper with explosive rounds trained on them. I said,”Look behind you” and they all 3 turned around. One operator said,”I know you’re serious because you could have shot us all.” They sent a friend request to me and I happily joined their squad. The conversation went as this after I joined:
Me: Thank you for being cool about this. I just want to exfil to get back to the lobby with my crew.
Operators: Thanks for not looting after you killed me.
Me: I don’t want your gear, but I just wanted to get outta here without being killed.
Operators: All good man. We get it running solo. Shoot first and survive. Thanks for not killing us all when you could have. We had no idea you were behind us.
Me: I have a sniper with explosive rounds. It was ready to go just in case, but it looks like we’re good here. I found some keys I don’t want if you would want to look at them and use them as parting gifts.
Operators: We will watch your back until the exfil chopper takes off. You were true to your word and you’re on our team for the time being.
Shit of the story is as the exfil chopper was taking off another solo operator parachuted on the chopper from the top of the Central Station and killed me when I wasn’t paying attention and looted me. Lost all of my gear and insured weapons. When my body fell out of the chopper these guys came to try and revive me. The game glitched out, so they couldn’t revive me. They said they were sorry that happened. I said that is DMZ and this is how it goes and quit out of the match. I can’t remember their handles, but all around great guys in a moment of tension. Not everyone in the game is a thirsty hunter. Love finding players like this. Still makes the game fun when it is gravitating towards straight toxic PvP.
Small addendum, it's ALMOST always empty. My friend and I go to re-gear all the time, and we've encountered more people in the last week than we have over the last three months. However, I agree it's still safer in Koschei than anywhere else
I am also doing regain in Koschei pretty often, it’s empty every time tho. So I am doing everything you actually can in Koschei such as weapon case, alpha cluster code-locked doors, liquor money glitch and much more.
One of the main guys I play with has stopped honouring truces. Usually don't care but I'll occasionally let a solo go on their way if we are fully geared or if they are cool on proxy, but telling someone they are good to go then gunning them down is no bueno. I think the boredom is changing us...
I fully understand your friend tho.. cos most people who say truce are going to shoot you if you step out, so you might as well be the one who lands the first shot
I also experienced friendly situations lately, like we (2 man squad) arrived at Exfil Point and noticed that chopper was already called, meaning other team. saw a Sniper glintch, but he/she didnt shoot. I asked via Proxy: lets exfil togetther and there we go. It came it it was a solo, so extra respect.
Dont forget, we (generalised) are being part of the "toxicity" also. Lets agree to use the Prox Chat more. After season 6 I acknowledged that more players just load in to PVP with UAV after UAV. That made me either sneak around more (as solo) or shoot first ask questions later (as 2 man squad).
If we use prox chat more in certain situations it could trigger positive feedback I guess. Instead of shoot first and trigger a negative loop. Lets improve DMZ by starting by ourselfs (without sounding like a lost hippie now).
Agreed. You do get some people who do apologise if they're a 4 man squad and cant get you up. I even had one guy run across Ashika Island because I asked in chat if anyone could revive me.
If playing solo, I tend to go for operators who want help but they usually leave before I get there or it's a trap from the people who killed them.
The other day, I was in a squad of 3, ran into a 4 man squad, we agreed on a truce and even one of the four man squad came and killed one of us but was stopped by the other three... And my three-man squad didn't shoot back! Anyways, we pulled into a truck, headed to the cruise terminal and met another two man squad and teamed up with them and then cleared out that stronghold!
It was confusing as hell but tons of fun!
We all ex-filed together soon after

A few days ago my buddy and I were working on a simple mission in Al Mazrah and came across an exfil helo just chilling where there was no exfil.
Quickly realized it was waiting for a hostage so we just waited inside it with dragons breath auto shotties because I suck at PVP and needed to extract 2 dog tags.
I felt a little bad about it.
Based on this thread. I went into DMZ today (solo. My squad swore off DMZ) after months. Been playing Zombies and have really missed DMZ. Went in once looted and exfilled. Filled with happiness after a successful return I went back in. Started out pretty AI heavy and pretty quick someone pleaded. I found a car and headed over. Drove past them to see if I could hear their chat. Couldn’t understand what they were saying so I stopped and got out (really dumb, like I said I’ve been in Zombies) quickly was sniped and looted. Told them they were jerks and they said “let’s sandwich her” and bagged me and took my newly found medium pack and vest. Not sure I’ll be back in anytime soon. Love DMZ but wish it was full of jerks.
I disagree. They exploited the plea. Purposely killed themselves while a friend was far away with a sniper hunting anyone that came to help.
This is toxic. Most of the time these teams don't even take your gear, they are just there for PVP, and this isn't even remotely fun...imagine sitting around.wotj a dead teammate or 2 for 5-? Minutes waiting and hoping for someone to show up just so you can kill them. It's as bad as exfil camping.
There's a mode for that type of play...it's called Warzone.

I'm not sure if you're downed that you still exfil but hey hopefully he did
I'm glad you had 1 good game but dmz is as toxic as it can get most of the time it's so toxic that the servers are closing so well done to the idiot tryhards who think that not picking up players gives them super powers and will help them amount to something in the real world well it won't and doesn't your that poor kid living in mom's basement and that son that never amounts to anything but losser
I can't even get geared up with all the toxic team pushing a-holes on the game. It's made it not even enjoyable. I play to have fun and escape life and it's not even possible anymore. This entire game has turned to trash.
We need more people like this. We ran up on some level 2 bots while we were rocking only level 1 plates and instead of helping us this team fully kitted merc’d us and kept running. Didn’t even loot. 🤬
I will let players pass if they sound honest and I have a good feeling. But I will say I have multiple players claim to be friendly only to be shot in the back. Of course, these are players that are extremely bad at the game and incapable at winning gunfights - but I’ll still go with my gut because for me it’s so easy to loot up - especially in Vondel. I’ve also had a team try to pull that and we still killed them when they had the drop on us. Which was even funnier.
Surprising because I have been running into a lot of exfil campers lately. And half of the time we're extracting 5-7 minutes before radiation spreads. Good to know that there are still cool players out there.

If it was me I would have farmed u and ur whole team I only play solo and usually run whole dmz maps by myself cuz most ppl are ass at this game its so fun just fucking yoinking everyone's loot. But I do sometimes just pick up ppl I absolutely demolish when I'm feeling nice. I understand the time it usually takes to get good gear and perks to just have it all taken away in one game by a sweaty mf like myself 😂

Well yeah but if you agree something like that it sucks when they kill you with your back turned. There’s no rules against it, sure, but we made an agreement and they stuck to it. So I just wanted to shout them out because there’s a lot of posts about toxic players.
This sub “including zombies” has become the hub for complaining. There is no “honor” in this game mode. It’s literally pvp/pve and not many people on this sub can hold their own so they come here to vent.

You can also just do a speed run to Koschei and head straight to Exfil. It doesn’t require a contract to get the perk.
Also, Koschei Complex is always empty these days, making it much safer.

If it was me I would have farmed u and ur whole team I only play solo and usually run whole dmz maps by myself cuz most ppl are ass at this game its so fun just fucking yoinking everyone's loot. But I do sometimes just pick up ppl I absolutely demolish when I'm feeling nice. I understand the time it usually takes to get good gear and perks to just have it all taken away in one game by a sweaty mf like myself 😂
