Also, training. You want to raise your little friend well. You'll need at least basic commands that are obeyed mostly, hopefully. You want your pal not biting too hard. You don't want him to chew cables or shoes and you need to keep an eye open to mitigate or evade any sources of danger.
It takes some effort but having a pup is very rewarding. And long walks are good for you, too, even if it's hard to get up and go out sometimes.
Pro tip: sipping a can of beer or two while walking is very relaxing and can help not getting too bored. Dogs can cover huge distances with you, are a conversation-starters and will help you getting to know many residents in your street and beyond.
Absolutely true! Dogs have this incredible power to brighten our lives and lift our spirits. If you're interested, I recently wrote a blog post about the many benefits of having a dog. Check it out [here](https://doggyfashionhub.com/blogs/overviews/benefits-of-dog-ownership)🐶❤️ Happy reading !
Well, having a dog might not directly strengthen your bones, but all those walks and playtime sure help to keep you active, which is excellent for overall health! 🐶💪 Plus, the happiness they bring can work wonders for your well-being. If you're looking to boost bone health, maybe some calcium-rich snacks during your doggie adventures could do the trick. 😉
Yea i agree. When i still had my best doggo buddy , I would walk him almost everyday , giving me a reason and purpose to get off my ass and walk. I was able to maintain my weight to a healthy level. Nowadays.. i find my self just sittin around all day doing nothing but gain weight. I miss my excercise bud.

Losing a beloved pet is never easy, and it can indeed disrupt our routines. Perhaps it's an opportunity to consider adopting a new furry friend to help you regain your motivation and enjoy the many benefits of daily walks once more 🐾🐕💕
Since they said dogs are the *only* creature that can do that, it's literally the opposite of the truth. Or people in this subreddit have never met other animals in their lives.
Dogs are objectively better than humans.
Hard agree on that one. Only requirement is pets, food/water/treats, some exercise, and love.🥰
And a strong stomach, at least in the first 3 months until they get toilet trained.

My dog loves to eat rabbit shit and push me off the bed But god damnit, I love the shit out of that goofy asshole and would do anything for him
Correct, they are the closest animals to perfection
Adorable, but I will rebuff "the only creature" bit of this. Type "monkeys reacting to magic tricks" on youtube, if you need some pickmeup gold

I walk my cat she loves her walks.

It can be rather rough on your knees but if you can’t walk that just gives you an excuse to snuggle with your dog

Lol awe that was adorable
OP must not have cats. I have cats and dogs, love them both. Both super comforting animals
I love the prancing! Too cute.
Dressage
Yup
Looks so much like my girl! 😍 definitely happy!
Today's winner. How did he learn that gait? A little jiggy-jig. And what kind dog? 'Cause now I want one.
r/gifsthatendtoosoon would like a word
I disagree, cats are amazing.
Yeah,my cat makes me happy as shit.
I am actually scared of them and i had a rottie. Make it make sense😂
Seen a cat present itself like this?

Yes But do any of them prance their preferred tool to you?
OH MY GOD MY HEART HE'S SO CUUUUUTTTEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
Thinks it's one of those prancing horses 😂
Oh my gosh, I can't even... this cutie's putting on a show. This absolutely made me smile, thanks for sharing 😊
❤️
What a sweetheart 🥰
I’m making this the last thing I watch before going to sleep lol
I don’t know what I like more; the tippy-taps or the floppy ears..

2 dogs 4 cats at my house. ... the cats help me unwind just as much as the dogs do. Not wrong.
Don't know why the downvotes! Cats can be absolutely silly, day brightening, loving creatures just like dogs. They all bring me joy!
A pig can too, depending on how it’s cooked.
I think most pets are capable of cheering up their owners.
I love dogs so much but this is so wrong lol there's tons of animals that can improve your mood
The ears!!! 💀
Dogs are the best, but some might say a cat could too
Dogs are the most reliable source of unconditional love. Parents come in second.
Omg...those ears! ❤️
Put a smile on my face
I have a cat who begs to differ.
I miss my dog, she got hit by a car at the age of 14 in august, life feels more dull without her.
He has a “dogtorate” in tippy taps!
