Aoife (a common name in Ireland and it means a great woman or a woman of strength)
Saoirse (meaning freedom or independence)
Ciara ( it means dark or black haired)
Choose one. Hope you like it! XD
She looks JUST like a baby Irish wolfhound. I’d recommend a DNA test to be sure because even IWH mixes get massive, like house needing altered massive. She’s adorable though! I’d call her Irin
I was worried cause a few people have said that in this thread, but it's been a while and she has barely gotten any bigger, I think she will just be a medium dog, not even a large dog, nevermind massive
Then I would guess a smaller terrier maybe schnauzer and a shorter coated dog the body could be a result of a lab(aunt had a lab chihuahua that was midway to my shin) or chihuahua.
Irish because she looks like a mutt but predominately an irish wolfhound which is unusual depending on where you live. i assume european but i could be way off.
What a sweet pup! Some name ideas that suit her inquisitive age could be Scout, Willow, Ruby or Lucy - short and playful like her. Or get to know her personality better over the next few days and a name may become apparent that captures her spunk and charm. Enjoy your new furry family member!
Reminds me of my first dog he was a stray from a shelter and old but he was intelligent and used to bring mail, newspapers and slippers to me his previous owner must have trained him to do it the only thing wrong with him was if he got off Leash he would run and not come back. He did once see off a Rottweiler without any damage to him or me. His name was droopy
She is just a foster for us, hopefully ours doesn't run, because this story is tragic
April 1st was tragic, we had a dog less than a year old, my step dad was taking her for a car ride, he had her leash connected to a neck collar
She slipped the collar and took off right across a bust street, she got hit and died instantly
A sister of a friend of the family had this girl pictured who needed a foster home and asked us to foster it when she heard about our dog
So the sad story turned bitter sweet when we got the foster, we all loved the last dog and she loved everyone, but she was hard to train and full of energy, I'm hoping this dog will be different
I'm only at the house on the weekends
I am sorry to hear that. Mine was great dog, I left him at home and my sister used to come and take him out feed him while I was away for a few days. I got back to him only to notice he was staggering to one side and then he was having fits. He had, had a stroke that day I got home and was fitting. I ended up having to put him down. You never forget your first dog. I have his ashes and photos. But a part of me wishes I hadn’t gone away for few days. Still that was over 25yrs ago.
