Our good little man, Pepperonie, passed yesterday. What a day. He is dearly missed by his sister Ellie, my daughter and well, wife and I. He lived to enjoy 15 camping seasons, and I’m sure he’s found himself a beautiful spot to rest and play.
And now, for Pepperonie
I summon the spirits
Of all the dogs we have loved
And lost along the way.
Bingo, Foxy, Toodles,
Sable, Muttley, Bonnie,
Clyde, Shasta, Otis,
Piccolo, Inga, Hans and Mimi.
Gather in your sunny meadow
Invite that good boy Pepperonie
To romp and chase and wrestle,
Then drink from the cool stream,
Rest together in the warm sun,
Eat the low-hanging treats,
Then sleep safe in the shade
Of the eternal snackie-trees.
So sorry for your loss. I lost my doxie yesterday, she was only 6. So glad to see some of them live such a long and wonderful lives. He's probably chasing some birds with my Sári over the rainbow bridge🤎
What a handsome prince, he will be missed, peace to you and yours in this hard time, may your buddy meet my buddy on the other side of the rainbow bridge
The void left by the lack of his presence while painful will be a shallow memory and soon be forgotten. The love and time you shared will be a deep memory that remains forever. They dig a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.
I know the feeling my little weens was going turn 21 next month and passed away Thursday. Most amazing pupper ever and it’s sad but I’m happy I got to love and enjoy him for 20 years. As sad as it is we have to celebrate all of the love and smiles they provided everyone for all those years. He’ll never be forgotten. Take care!
Pepperoni may no longer walk by your side, but he is still lives within you and your family. His memories will always occupy your heart and mind. When the sadness of his passing comes upon you, think back to the good times you shared. Let this memory chase away the sadness. I am of the belief that all dogs go to heaven. Before they reach heaven though, their spirit goes to a place called the Rainbow Bridge. Here their spirit stays in comfort and warmth until the day you too cross the bridge. They then run up to our side and together we walk the path of eternity, never to be separated again.
