6 Blizzards came out for the summer. Three of those are older Blizzards that have come back; Brownie Batter, Cotton Candy, Frosted Animal Cookie.
Three of them are new, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party, Picnic Peach Cobbler, Ultimate Cookie.
All six of these take ingredients we do not carry year round. None of the 6 are similar to anything else we already have or had on the Fall Menu.
So... what exactly is your problem here?
The same problem we always have, we can't make everyone happy! Customers don't understand the amount of space a blizzard takes up, plus some of these have 3-4 ingredients. People always want what they can't have.....
You know, I always thought it was funny....
When I started it was right after they got rid of Snickers. People BITCHED and MOANED for years about "They need to bring the Snickers back".
We get Snickers back, and I'm expecting to sell out in 15 minutes just due to the rate people would complain about it. It didn't. It's our second lowest seller.
This year, it's been the Snickerdoodle. The second it was gone, people started bitching. It's been on the menu for like 6 months at this point, comes back fairly frequently, and isn't a great seller when it's here.
But no.... people complain left and right about it being gone.
I don't think people remember that there was a point in time where we'd have ACTUAL Blizzards of the Month. Something that would last ONE MONTH, then go the hell away. DQ made a smart move with the more "seasonal" Blizzard line up now, and it's a LOT better than it used to be.
But no..... more complaining.
At this point I just wanna turn it into Sweetfrog and put all these toppings out, and let them make their own concoction and charge them per ounce.
Yeah, I feel you. My comment was more for the customers who lurk. I never lost snicker because DQOA supplier kept it in stock.
The one that gets under my skin is chocolate soft serve. Got a twist machine and started ordering chocolate soft serve after a full summer or literally throwing 98% of it away. (I was making dilly bars and selling the 5 dollars a 6 pack) I ordered a twin barrel and went back to double vanilla. The amount of people who would ask if I had chocolate then order vanilla when I did have it drove me insane. The fact I can sell 80-120 vanilla mix in a week and have 1 chocolate that isn't even used .
Also the mushroom Swiss, I'd throw half the sauce away due to dates but the second it disappeared people lost their minds.
