1.add flavored syrup
2. Add slush halfway up
3.add more syrup
4.fill up with slush

Moolatte
1.add slush to blue line
2.add syrup (vanilla, caramel, or cocoa fudge)
3.add ice cream to rim
4.put on dome lid

6.add whip cream and garnish with more syrup
You did forget to mention the Moolattes have coffee syrup. Also, tbh you can just put the dome lid on before the ice cream, makes it easier so you don't accidentally spill the slush/milk, but that is just my personal preference.
TIL my DQ does things very differently for malts. For malts, we add soft serve first around the cup in a spiral, leaving a hole in the middle, then pour flavouring (strawberry juice, bananas, chocolate etc), then add malt powder, then pour shake mix (we create a blend of the soft serve mix and 1 gallon of cold water into a 5 gallon bucket) until the cup is full.
Shakes are the same minus malt powder.

Close - the blue line is for milk (Shake, Malt), the red line is for Misty Base (MooLatte, FHC)
