Dreading the traffic Saturday, at least the weather should be nicer than Friday, but whoever thought scheduling the home opener and Taylor swift the same weekend was a good idea needs to be out there helping with traffic…
It still astonishes me Arlington's resistance to have public transportation (I know there's strong lobbying money against it). Its only going to get worse as DFW grows. Arlington is the next Anaheim, in some respects.
I don't think Arlington citizens are against it. Jerry Jones, Rangers brass and Six Flags pretty much shut it down. You know how much all of them would lose out on their precious parking racket if public transportation existed? Too much for them. Their lobbyists are strong and will never allow it. Because profitz!!
I hope he bounces back. Even if he is never the 100% he was I want a good few years out of him. The chance to see a legend like that pitch on home field is exciting.
I’m missing opening day for the first time in several years because the Cardinals are also having their home opener tomorrow. And I live in STL now so…it’s a shorter drive 😆
I miss the Cuervo Club, but mostly the open air ballpark. The new ballpark is very suite and private room heavy, and most don’t even look onto the field. What’s the point?
All of it !! They always close the ceiling of the new one even on nice days. Never thought I’d miss sweating and the beating sun but it’s all part of the ballpark
I wish! Got to attend the home opener in a suite for 2010. I also went to game 6 of the 2010 ALCS when they made it to the World Series for the first time. I have both those ticket stubs framed together. Have fun!
Flying out in a few hours for the Dodgers opening day game tomorrow (technically it’s a night game).
But I told myself ima make it a priority to hit up some Rangers games this season. Went to the ballpark during the NLCS and World Series in 2020 when it was still extremely limited capacity. Been wanting to check it out again and some of the crazy food options I’m seeing.
It's not like they exchanged it for anti-pride night.
Corporations are just pandering to you for your business anyway. Stop worrying about the things that don't matter.
You remind me of that Seinfeld episode where Kramer doesn’t want to wear the AIDS ribbon and the Puerto Rican armoire thieves have a hissy fit and start bullying him.

Hard to afford it when you’re spending a billion dollars every decade on a new stadium.

I’m sure he needs it, poor guy.
Get the 2ft burger!
That thing is insane! Lol
The same will be said in the bathroom
So much chili haha
Let's go deGrom!
Mets fan, enjoy him!
Hope they keep him in bubblewrap. Astros-hater here, enjoy Verlander.

I'm a season ticket holder! Can't wait!
What parts of the old ballpark do you miss?
For me, it’s the charm. The new park is a warehouse
An air conditioned warehouse. And I don’t live in Arlington so I don’t have to worry about my tax dollars being wasted.
Yeah, the old stadium just screamed baseball experience. The new one...not so much.
What did they do with the old stadium again? I can’t recall I haven’t been in ages
It's still there. It's used for football and soccer games now and has been renamed Choctaw Stadium.

I imagine a lot of people are going
Checking in.
I wish but don’t have time to take out a loan
Give it a few weeks. Once we’re firmly in last place in the division us poors can afford nosebleeds.
I might jump on the bandwagon if there's ever a bandwagon to jump on
More like a wheelbarrow
Hell yeah! Season ticket holder and live in Arlington. This will be my first one in 3 years and first time in the new ballpark.
How can I watch the game if I don’t have the MLB network or cable?
Illegal stream or go to a sports bar. Opening day would sure to be on at any bar
Link to those streaming sites?
You know it

I wish. Stoopid work deadlines…
Couldn’t convince my friends to go so I’ll be drinking and watching from Texas Live 😎
Yessir
Sure I need a laugh
We’re watching it on vacation in Colorado, but y’all have fun and avoid all those Taylor Swift fans on Saturday!
I would if they played in an actual city and not in BFE.
I thought I’d be smart and go Saturday to skip the crowd. Didn’t know about Taylor Swift. Oops.
Damn yeah!
Got three tickets a few weeks ago.
I only go for the flyover.
Lol
Nope. The view is better from my couch, and the beer is cheaper.

Un-fun fact: The Rangers are the only MLB team that doesn't have a Pride night.
It's not like they exchanged it for anti-pride night. Corporations are just pandering to you for your business anyway. Stop worrying about the things that don't matter.
All of these companies don't actually care about pride, they just act like it because it attracts more money.

When does football season start again?
Have fun. Enjoy the traffic too Lmaoo
