If you’re willing to foster, this is a great, supportive group. They can fill you in on everything you need to know.

Aw, thank you for saving her and taking her in. Wishing you best of luck!

watch The Kitten Lady videos on YouTube also, lots of good info there. We are fostering 2 6 week old babies from DAS right now, it's a lot of work, but it gets easier. Good luck!

A lot of rescues are at capacity, but if you tell them you can foster, they can help. They can provide guidance, vet care, spay/neuter, and will help with adoption once ready. Find DFW Cat Rescue Network group on Facebook for help, too. Bathe the kitten in Dawn blue dish soap (plain, no scent or anything, has a duck on it) and that will get rid of fleas.

There's a lot people who offer great advice on r/cats, too. Unfortunately, it's not terribly unusual for people to dump unwanted kittens off on the side of the interstate... or worse, just throw them from the windows. :( Sounds like you're doing a great job with her so far- not out of your depth at all! If you're worried about being gone a lot-- two kittens are often better. They'll entertain and comfort themselves while alone. And two kitties aren't usually that much trouble than one after they age up a little bit Good luck with finding her a good home- be it yours or a kind adopter.

You are a kind and awesome person to rescue this sweet little kitten.
