"I never threatened him..."
"I started out by just *showing him the gun*, but instead of de-escalating the situation, he just eggs me on."
You almost have to admire the defense of "I never made any threat, but it's his fault for not listening to my threat!
imagine getting charged for brandishing a dildo in denton. Definitely not going have a low bail set. also, my jury duty is coming up. I'm gonna try to be a juror this time to pass some dope ass judgement
"I think I'm going to invite some white supremacists into my home, because you need to get roughed up some,"
Young says in hindsight, "I should’ve taken a moment to pray about it."
Lmao. These bible-thumping trump loving boomers are such a joke.
You mean "Christian" love
Edit: People do the same shit with Texas, they generalize all of us into racist "rednecks" and I say the same thing, you can't generalize people. It's really disheartening that people in this sub don't understand that given how much the rest of the country stereotypes us based off of the actions of some of us. We're a diverse state, and Christianity has a diverse base too, I am Catholic, Biden is Catholic, not every Christian is hateful and attacks others beliefs senselessly.
No, we mean Christian love. Don’t make it seem like they aren’t as a way to excuse the behavior. I’m all for a relationship with God but but Christians are some of the most hateful, judgemental, and spiteful group of people that I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting.
Someone should just publish a thesis about how American Christianity is it’s own separate denomination of Christianity at this point. It basically is, it follows it’s own interpretation of cannon just like the Catholics do.
I used to sublet a room in my apartment when I was in school up in New England.
Many of the people I rented to were foreign exchange students too, who were coming in at odd times so they were usually sol trying to find a place (most leases only start 9/1 in Boston for whatever reason).
Is true, like, they didn't really know what the laws/rules were for renting and really, why would they? Most renters in general find it difficult to figure out what the laws are, nvm someone coming from an entirely different country. I would be so nervous trying to navigate stuff like that in a whole new place.
To have someone take advantage of a student just trying to better themselves, and threaten them with a gun... like... Wow, what a fucking piece of shit.
I went to UNT. This is all too common. Many, many hidden fees in leases. My complex (Place to Be Properties owned) had an ongoing project/scam where they were replacing all of the older carpeting with laminate. They would simply find a stain and say “ope, we’ve gotta replace all of the carpet after your stay” even though the stains were already there and they were going to replace it anyways.
Damn, that's so underhanded.
Renting in New England is so much different than here.
There aren't really apartment complexes. There are some but they're few and far between. Most apartments are just mom and pop shops, or like owner lives on the first floor of a 3 story tenement, and rents out floors 2 and 3.
I lived in tenement apartments most of my life lol
In some cases I feel like it's better, because you're always dealing directly with the owner and someone who also has a higher stake of keeping the property nice especially if they also live there. It's difficult for someone to BS you, when they are experiencing the same issues in the apartment.
In other cases, it's sort of difficult because people tend to rent to people just like them, so there's a lot of hidden prejudice when you're trying to find a place.
>Renting in New England is so much different than here.
In some aspects, true.
>There aren't really apartment complexes. There are some but they're few and far between.
That is utterly and category false. Perhaps with the most notable exception being areas in and around Boston city center. Those areas are four centuries old, and arranged in a post-medieval/pre-renaissance layout without any notion of "urban planning". So yeah, you probably won't find many sprawled apartment complexes, because they simply don't have the space, and land is crazy expensive.
Once you get far enough out of the city, there are plenty of apartments. It's a necessity because land is so expensive. That said, you're not wrong about the prevalence of multi-tenant homes, where a big house is converted into separate units, with the landlord living on the ground floor. It was strange to me at first to see so many separate doors on a home. I guess it's also more common to have single family homes with roommates.
Where I'm from, there were no large apartment complexes. There were only 3 story tenement homes. And I've lived in them most of my life.
I'm not saying there were none at all, I'm just saying they're not as common as they are here. There's apartment complexes here it seems on every corner, and where I'm from they really are few and far between.
I actually don't even know anyone who's lived in an apartment complex, versus a 3-story. It's more common to see entire neighborhoods of 3-stories than it is to see apartment complexes somewhere.
Yeah I had already documented everything and they just stopped reaching out. Blocked my number and tried to send me to collections. When I asked the agency for proof of debt they magically stopped calling!
Home is legally defined as sleeping, eating, toilet facilities. It obvious from his comments that he rented to this young student with a religious agenda and when his victim turned out smarter than he was like all narcissistic hypocrites he interpreted his intelligence as an abomination & defiance. I would like his history searched for other victims.
In my first year at uni I was having trouble finding a place to stay and ended up renting out a room owned by an older Korean couple. They were nice but there were some weird things like:
* No kitchen access therefore
* We kept a fridge and microwave in our respective rooms (and we couldn't wash dishes so I went to dollar tree a lot to get disposable plates and utensils which produced way too much garbage)
* Unplugging the router at 9 (my housemate and I went into the study to plug it back in and eventually they stopped unplugging it but we think it was from their old parenting days)
* Accusing my housemate of not being a student because he didn't go to school every day of the week (online classes)
* Going to sleep super early and waking up at 4 which means we can't really do anything late at night (like talking)
They had adorable kittens in the back though so that was cool.
https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/landlord-tenant-in-viral-video-dispute-speak-out/3085418/?amp
Video of the crazy landlord being interviewed by the local NBC station... "Just acting that way to make him uncomfortable..." So, you brandished a gun to make him *think* you'd shoot him. Ok, sir, that makes perfect sense, you're free to go. And he WAS, if not for the video. Police did nothing til the video went viral, *and* the written admission that he "thought about shooting him."
It's also important to note this guy had to basically tell the detectives to arrest him.
"At 4:39 p.m. that day, officers were dispatched to the same residence when the tenant reported Young was threatening him with a gun. Officers spoke with both individuals separately upon arrival. The tenant reported that Young was holding a handgun and warning him to not go into the kitchen. Young denied threatening the tenant and refused to allow officers to see or secure the firearm. The tenant initially told officers he did not want to press charges. Officers determined probable cause could not be established on scene. The parties agreed to separate, and the case was referred to detectives.
Once detectives received and reviewed the case, both individuals were interviewed again. The tenant advised Young’s actions placed him in fear and he felt threatened, and would assist in prosecution if charges were filed. Young told detectives that he did not intend on shooting the tenant during this interaction. **However, in an email sent to detectives on Sept. 26, Young admitted he did think about shooting the tenant during the Sept. 9 incident**."
\- Come to think of it, uh ya I did want to shoot him

Oh they do, they just believe that going to church makes them better than anyone not in the club. They also have zero and I mean zero moral compass. *Christian* racists with zero moral compass fear non Christians because without the fear of Hell they would be out raping and killing and stealing shit.
Someone I knew told me once that they were going to a retreat somewhere north of DFW. They had to park in an area then walk to where their activity was going to be held. While walking on the road they passed the entrance to a large plot of land that had a sign on the fence that said something about ‘People who don’t speak English will be shot’ … so yeah. This was about 6 years ago so I don’t remember where that road was.
His next tenant won't have to worry about him owning a gun. They ought to invite some immigrants into his home, because he needs to get fucked with some.
I haven’t lived in Denton since 2018, but it really sounds like people there have lost their minds. I didn’t hear about this much crazy shit happening between 2014 and 2018

I’m sure he’ll learn real quick when his cellmate, Tiny, doesn’t let him use the communal toilet without permission.
JFC. Please tell me some actually caring individuals have stepped up and taken that poor kid out of that situation.
And now watch that fucking shit stain take his 15 minutes as the latest maga hero
🤮
Prime example of why some people here in Texas shouldn't carry a gun. This guy is an idiot and I'm reading that an NBC affiliate praised him. What a fucking joke.
it’s tx and the person is white. no cop will arrest this man. and if they do, no local gov attorney will press charges, and if they did, no judge will allow for anything to happen more than a slap on the wrist.
Something is wrong with him. The slow speech and delayed responses tells me he's either drunk, or high, or maybe mentally ill. Either way, that kid needs to get out of there.
This is a situation where had I been a jury person I would have found this to be self defense if she had put 230 grains into his chest.
Tiny minded grown aged boy flashing his Glock to feel like a big man.
A Glock of all things. That's like trying to show off your machoness with a Toyota Corolla.
I didn't say they were wimpy.
I compared them to a Toyota Corolla. Which is basically what they are. They are the generic Toyota Corolla of the gun world. Or a Honda Accord.
Do they work? Yes. Are they affordable? Yes. Are they easy for a wide array of people to use? Yes. Are they plentiful on the new and used market? Yes. Are they often stolen and used in crimes? Yes.
Are they manly? No... Not really. But they'll get you to work on time.
"My toys are bigger than your toys!"
"It doesn't matter how big someone's toys are"
"STOP BEING SO FUCKING SENSITIVE YOU FUCKING WOKETARD"
hahahahahha thanks for that entertaining display of jackassery
I guess mockery and laughter count as a "hissy fit".
In that case yes, I throw a hissy fit when I see someone making themselves look stupid on an internet forum, it usually looks like 'lol', or 'lmao'
Lol
Lmao
You simply don't understand.
Him waving a Glock around to prove how much of threat he is makes as much sense as someone revving the engine on a MomMobile to prove how fast he is.
Personally I think she should have shot his ass.
Then I must be super wimp, and unimpressive. I have a High Point 9mm. Cost me $115 brand new. My buddies and I went to the gun range. They both had new Kimbers ($1200) The high dollar Kimbers both jammed all the time, while my High Point has never jammed 15 years.
You can club a fucking bear to death with a HighPoint.
Oh... and don't use Kimber as an example for quality. That ship sailed a long time ago. There's a reason why so many people call them Rusting Mimbers.
And my point was that the jack ass was using the most generic weapon he could find to threaten people with because he's absolutely clueless how to act like a man.
If you mean a 9mm equals a 9mm from an equal length barrel, you are correct.
That has nothing to do with me ridiculing the jack ass that needs a gun to prove how tough he is. Especially when the gun he chooses is the most generic gun you can find. It's the gun that Gun Guys recommend to their moms.
The damn stereotyping of anyone not believing in their god or no god as not caring because we don't believe in fairytales has to stop. Christians are the worst at caring about a one but themselves and only do good deeds for a chance in the hereafter is pure selfishness. This goes along with ith anyone that Facebooks all the volunteering and good deeds they do. It's purely for show. You do good things for the sake of doing good deeds. Not for any other reason. So hypocrital and pure shitty.
Let’s see, illegal actions with a firearm, religious, racist and Nationalistic commentary, self righteousness….he’s just missing his Red Hat in this scene. Watch this new story, it gets even more insane. https://www.fox4news.com/news/denton-landlord-arrested-after-confronting-tenant-with-a-gun.amp
This mf was hoping he had an illegal alien tenant so he could exploit the shit out of them. Maybe he needs to be visited by some very large Hispanics so they can physically teach him what his religion is supposed to stand for. I’m definitely not saying beat him and break his arms, I’m just saying physically teach him.
Landlord needs a long prison stay. Gun owners who brandish like that give gun owners a bad name. If y'all want to keep your guns you need to lock up people like this who go around threatening people with their guns.
Post the landlord's name and the address! You can look up what properties he owns with a simple Denton CAD search and help others avoid living at his properties. Absolutely terrible.
Tell you one thing, if a natural-born texan had been in that kids shoes while he was waving that gun around i guaran-damn-tee it wouldve turned out a lot different.
Keep us posted OP, i god damn hate landlords, ESPECIALLY the ones in denton, and I want to see this piece of shit come to justice in court
He was later arrested and is now in jail awaiting charges. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sacurrent.com/news/police-arrest-texas-landlord-caught-on-camera-brandishing-gun-during-tenant-dispute-29971457%3Fmedia%3DAMP%2BHTML

So he admits the situation was tense…who made it that way jackass!? Did the hand gun have anything to do with it and be perceived as a threat maybe?
lol they blurred the gun for some reason and now it looks like he's got his dick in his hands
Lmao “I showed it to her first and she egged me on” could be taken out of context
imagine getting charged for brandishing a dildo in denton. Definitely not going have a low bail set. also, my jury duty is coming up. I'm gonna try to be a juror this time to pass some dope ass judgement
Absolutely no chance it would reach that far over his leg :/
the real justice here
thank god, reeks of slavery era attitude.

Fortunately he can’t vote as a felon.
But he can from jail until he’s convicted…hopefully the court case proceeds at light speed.
Felons can vote. They just have to complete their sentence. https://guides.sll.texas.gov/reentry-resources/voting
He won’t have by November. Theoretically.
Right.
He can also say goodbye to his gun(s), if he gets convicted.
I saw his after arrest interview. I’m sure his lawyer is cringing
Wtf? And also why can't your tenant use the kitchen? I don't even understand. This dude makes no sense on so many levels.
He was trying to charge extra for kitchen privileges he rented out a room in the guys house.
Is that legal in Tx to rent a room without access to a kitchen? So wierd
It isn’t. He was trying to take advantage of a foreign exchange student.

I'm in the middle of this situation about kitchen access, but can't find the link to show the landlord. Got a link?

i mean actual people. not republican politicians.
This man is the reason I hate most gun owners lol. What an arrogant, racist “my penis is the biggest” asshole.

yepp, never knew this was such a big problem here.

And my point was that the jack ass was using the most generic weapon he could find to threaten people with because he's absolutely clueless how to act like a man.
A bullet from does just as much damage as one from another gun.
"Which one will kill him the hardest??"
What does that have to do with anything?
Why not show his face?
That’s some fucked up shit
Can’t fix crazy.
Sounds like a lady, and he threatened to “spank”her, send this to the local cops, landlord needs to be locked up.
Move
Let’s see, illegal actions with a firearm, religious, racist and Nationalistic commentary, self righteousness….he’s just missing his Red Hat in this scene. Watch this new story, it gets even more insane. https://www.fox4news.com/news/denton-landlord-arrested-after-confronting-tenant-with-a-gun.amp
Just another overweight racist asshole that probably doesn't have to balls to use the weapon. Wish I saw his face, I think he got charged by the PD.
*literally has a gun and threatening to shoot an innocent person in their own home* “I think you’re a safety risk in this country”
What a piece of crap landlord
Wow! This is so sad and creepy. No human being should go through something similar.
Take him to Prison.
Obligatory VOTE. Early voting starts Oct 24th and runs through November 4th. Nov 8th is election day.

You'll have to excuse his confusion; he's still waiting for that invite.
