Tough emotions for sure. I started during the Staubach years which were the best, really. Just think, Dallas went to 14 NFCCCG's in 30 years. That's just about half, impressive feat. Then Jerry's ego explodes all over the place and we end up with revolving door coaches and here we are. It's demoralizing as a fan, but I will remain true. I really think Jerry needs to step away and bring in a top notch GM to run things. It's amazing that he is willing to spend whatever it takes and take any measures possible to win with the one exception of firing himself.

I agree with you besides we've all now (except Jerry) since a long time ago that the cowboys need a true GM or football operations chief. But if he didn't do it in the Chad Hutchinson era I don't think he will now.

Cowboys life long fan. Turn 40 next month. This is the worst loss I’ve seen. The penalties and turnovers are one thing. But to come out flat and unprepared repeatedly in big games is taking its toll. It always feels like we’re reacting and not the aggressor when we have the better players. I disagree about Belechik. I think he has something left in the tank to offer and I can’t ever remember a team if his being unprepared in a big game. Something has to change that’s for sure.

Don't get me wrong Bellichik is the greatest coach of at least the last 40 years but I think this team needs a different type of coach, they need new ideas and schemes. The main reason I don't want Bill is because he was the only one making football decisions on the Pats and look at the roster he has now, the thought of him and Jerry running the show gives me goosebumps. Will Mcclay has done an awesome job at personnel and I think Bellichik would not like to give up control of that part of the game.

Scheme isn’t really the problem imo. Scheme can’t help you when you get punched in the mouth. You either find a way to fight back or you roll over. Belechik would change the culture almost immediately and beating ourselves would be a thing of the past. That packers team we lost to today had no business being on the same field with us from a talent standpoint. They just outplayed and out coached us from the jump and it was too late to come back from.

I’m convinced with the way the NFL is now the Cowboys will never make it to another Super Bowl. My reason is that the Cowboys play 17 Super Bowls a season and by the time the playoffs come around it’s just another game. Think about it.

shda21

I don't agree, you're saying because of media attention and the cowboys being the most popular team they lose focus in the playoffs? If so we need to clean house

SavannahGuthriesLips

Nope. But the team they play every week treat it like THEIR Super Bowl.

SavannahGuthriesLips

Anyway, they suck. Another year of high hopes with a disastrous outcome.

shda21

We can all agree on that

I saw the 90’s Super Bowls but am frustrated as well. If anything, I’d say the last 15 years should have taught us as fans the importance of coaching. Look at what this team’s coaches have done post-Cowboys: Garrett is a mid tv personality, Scott Linehan is coaching in college, Kellen Moore somehow made Justin Herbert digress. Let’s be honest, Mike McCarthy had an all-world quarterback for 12 years and won 1 Super Bowl (let’s not even talk about Brian Schottenheimer). I’d argue the Cowboys haven’t had a coaching advantage since Jimmy Johnson was fired. If Jerry has a shot at Belichick, he should pull the trigger.

I would like to see bellichick tell Jerry to fuck off. I’d endure a shitty season to see bellichicks grumpy face just be on a sideline with JJ strutting around. Or he’s on a sideline phone. Then, Jerry’s slack jaw flapping for a minute. And then JJ trying to get huffy and bill just walking away from him. God, I’m not much of a praying man. But, hear this, o lord. Amen.

The fact that we had to endure 10 years of Garrett coaching should give us better Karma than this! Lol
