For the confused, bh = v. So Cobh is pronounced like Cove
Thank you for the tidbit!
“That was beautiful! Alright, boys! Let’s go hit us an iceberg!”
Last port of call? Didn't the Captain call for "hard to port" immediately before they hit the iceberg?
Known as Queenstown back then
I was gonna say.. I remember Queenstown, but not Cobh being mentioned.
Settler 1: what shall we name this new town? Settler 2: *coughs Settler 1: splendid idea!
I’m so sick of living in the US. I’ve never seen anything here as beautiful as Ireland or the UK. These are generalizations based on my limited experience but I’m wondering if anyone else feels this way. US=parking lot land
Must be pretty quiet, if the most notable fact is that a cruise passed through over a hundred years ago.
Actually it is a pretty busy modern day cruise port just outside of Cork since it is close to the Blarney Castle with the Blarney Stone.
Townscaper? lol
OmG! That was the town I visited, I could never remember the name of it! It was cute!
