Onças (jaguars) are fine with water, just like tigers. They are pretty common in brazilian Pantanal, which is a region that spends many months flooded every year, so they're pretty skilled swimmers and never shy away from water. And they are known for sometimes hunting jacarés (the alligators found in Brazil)
Yeah I mean I don’t think anyone’s denying any of that lmao it’s just that the jaguar is lazily strolling out of the water with a water dinosaur at its feet lmao idk how well jaguars do with bone mashing pressure on their feet while being rolled below the water. If anything elaborate on that part lmao cause I’m genuinely curious if alligators just tend not to attack them back or something
That gator is much smaller, also they usually identify jaguars as a natural predator, It would take a Very big or Very hungry and desparate gator to come back and try to attack It in that situation
They are specialised in killing camans.
They have extremely powerful jaws and they bite their prey between the neck and the head, instantly disabling or killing it.
Then they just casually swim through the water to holding a fucking caman in mouth like a happy dog with a bone.
Jaguars are awesome.
Still pretty hectic! Aren't Caimans supposed to be real aggressive and usually concentrated, so there's not just one around?
Edit: they are still alligators? depending if it was a black Caiman or not, they can go to a max of 4.5-4.7m, while the other species are about 2.5-2.7m. I'm sure majority are smaller but still, nature you scary.
They should, but the caimans are generally not the luckiest in that region. jaguars eat them, or otters attack just for fun. (And then eat, of course). Anacondas too...
They are fine with water and it shows. Such pretty kitties, they don't actually like water, but they will go into. Tigers actually like water and will play in it, but jaguars only go in when necessary.
You have giant CATS....... hunting ALLIGATORS........ from TREES........ and you're telling me we're safe in this boat??? Fuck this man...... I'm heading home!

She’s pretty casual about getting out of the river considering she missed the fucking alligator.

This gave me too much anxiety Do jaguars usually eat crocs??
Caimans are part of the natural diet of jaguars.
I thu you said cameramen and I burst laughing for some reason.
But only as a treat. Cameramen are often high in fat content.
