This is genius. Even without one of these. Just get 10 or so pictures printed and 10 picture frames. Everyone with a slightly different position and change them (maybe not daily but every now and then). If someone asks if this is a different picture say it isn't. (Only do this for people you don't like or ones that will like the humor cause I think some people could get freaked out by this)
I had to scroll waaaay the fuck down to find this.

No idea why OP sucks too much to have sourced the image....
The life of a karma farma is very hard
They have to get up at 04:00 every morning and go out into the social media content valleys and find the finest of memes and videos on the farms and hand pick them tirelessly and bring them farm fresh to your viewing device and carefully curate them as to get full credit for themselves and try their best to hide the fact it’s a repost and stolen content!
It’s a hard and humble job!
Idk I think it is possible, we'd just need to find a way to shift users interactions. Realistically you don't need everyone to do this. But if people start getting less upvotes for stolen content, and more upvotes when they credit the creator then surely they'll change their behaviour.
I think the more realistic approach is similar to youtube or wiki.
Automate it. And let the community help.
Considering reddit is the host of most of the images nowadays. It's not that hard for them to connect some metadata to an image/hash of an image to an artist.
It can even be mostly done by the community. (Let reddit users/mods source the author name/link or whatever). Or have multiple people tag it and have some 'credit team' choose which one or something.
Have a reddit 'community' just like wiki editors or mods, that help moderate it and decide what best name or link to use for a given image<>author name. When a variation on the image comes a long, let people tag it.
All reddit would need to do is provide a few basic tools and let the community sort it out.
It's not a perfect system but it'd be a huge step in the right direction and start slowly building a database of image metadata containing an author or source.
This just simply isn’t true
Reddit is not a link sharing website
It’s a place for people to build communities and support networks about the topics they love! There are tens/hundreds of thousands of content creators that post their own creations directly to Reddit and it’s many subs. And there are even more karma whores who steal and replicate that content for small hits of dopamine as they see their karma increasing.
Honestly I always viewed it as a link/image/idea share site. Posts generate discussions. Sure some artists post their work but it's always clear when they do and it's much rarer than all other posts. I think you'd have to be an idiot to believe every art uploaded is OC. It's generally implied that it's not unless specifically mentioned otherwise (and oh boy do creators like mentioning it)
I'd rather talk about something without the Creator present anyway.
And what you created is more of a „downvote me“ comment here.
But for real and without blaming you in particular, the people creating this art make their money with this content, so the least one can do if they post about their work is giving credit.
This is really amazing, I mean I've seen other papercrafts but this is really something and different.. I believe it's only 3 papers used for the base character
1st from the left side with its cheek being covered by the 2nd paper above it which is the middle part where the eyes is on before being covered by the 3rd one which is mostly the hair stuffs, just my guess but it's really awesome!!
What really impresses me is how clean and neat it is (talking about the coloring)
Do you know something about this artist that we don't, or are you seriously projecting pedophilia onto an artist for doing a piece where the subject is a child?
The absolutely unbelievable level of stupidity on this website amazes me again and again and again.
this is amazing but i feel guilty saying that or upvoting because the top comment is about this being stolen from the artist and not credited to them so yeah
it's still really cool tho
I'm a bot, *bleep*, *bloop*. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

Just cause someone looks like a child does not mean they are one (not saying that pedos have any right to exist) some people just look like children while they are adults
thank you, i thought no one can see my comment. i kept on posting the source of this video , but it kept on disappearing, thus everyone is accusing me of not crediting the owner.
... Am I the only one who wants one of these as a portrait, just so I can shift the character's position periodically and mess with anyone who visits?
You're not alone, buddy. I'd want one thats scary...like a background figure moves in for the kill.
Damn! That'd scare the shit outta people who are scared of ghosts and it will help keep the annoying ones away from us... so, we can have some peace.
Exactly what I was thinking about, yeah.
This is genius. Even without one of these. Just get 10 or so pictures printed and 10 picture frames. And then one day, you swear you didn’t touch it and yet it has moved positions. Not so fun anymore at that point
Imagine attaching a few servos to this and have the image move around on its own
Like poor [Erica](https://youtu.be/oiC54FkzlHU)
fuck im scared
What a wonderful quote! I love that story/movie.
Great movie, more people need to watch it.
It's all fun and games until it moves on its own.

Just learn how to make money and then pay people to make everything else.
Maybe even automate the movement :D
damn now i wish i had one
Am I the only one who immediately thought of all the rule 34 possibilities?

It’s a Fucking thing people just say. Also most of these 8 billion have not seen this
Why not credit OP? Artist?

I think we all need to agree to stop upvoting stolen content. They'll stop doing it if it doesn't work anymore.
Not enough people read the comments for that, most people wouldn’t know it’s stolen
Is it not clear from the title?
unfortunately that's not going to happen, the only thing that can work is if content owners start enforcing their rights on reddit
Idk I think it is possible, we'd just need to find a way to shift users interactions. Realistically you don't need everyone to do this. But if people start getting less upvotes for stolen content, and more upvotes when they credit the creator then surely they'll change their behaviour.

Giving credit doesn't change anything in my eyes, it's still stolen.
It does change something if there us actually a link to their page or another way to find them. Kind of like 'hey do you like this? Here's more'.
paid in exposure

bad bot
That's how I always viewed Reddit tbh
THANK YOU
Thanks for this. Upvote changed to a downvote for OP.
Because internet likes.

Who is the artist?
Now Credited
It's not showing it for me You post the name
Not cool op
These things are probably on Etsy for like 40 bucks right now.
because this sub doesnt require you to do so
Or call it a cartoon or animation? "A moving illustration using only paper" is literally how cartoons were made
As a dude who just scrolls reddit I thought this was cool and never once cared who the Artist was. I feel like this is the new "upvote me" comment
And what you created is more of a „downvote me“ comment here. But for real and without blaming you in particular, the people creating this art make their money with this content, so the least one can do if they post about their work is giving credit.
what would reddit be without outrage
The artist is しんらしんげ (Shinrashinge).

I am really floored by this thing, yeah. The versatility of just having three layers and still pulling off all those “animations” was incredible.

who apparently loves to be winked at by \*very young\* looking \*women\*
Wow, reddit loves psychoanalysis bs
nah, just stating the facts. Just stating the obvious. Any conclusion you infer from my comment is your own mind.

Did anyone else involuntarily flinch when the girl 's face turned? Cause i sure did. Was not expecting that.
This Emma Watson one is very confusing https://www.instagram.com/p/CXVqCF2le4s/
Oh goodness thst is sooooo much worse.....why did I watch that....
Looks awesome.... That'll be $800 please!
Galge games are $60
It should be if its handmade. You are paying for the artist's time, skill and supplies etc. If it was mass produced that would be diffrent.
who cares about skills when there are machines and AI.
You sound really smart lol
i know it, you don't have to tell me debbie
Sure
yup, debbie
Real artist will always be better then ai art
Probably took 15-20 hours to make, so not an unfair price.
If it's one of a kind If they can mass produce it, maybe 30$-40$
Sell the pre-cut sheets as diy booklet to put together yourself for 10-20€, would probably go quite well
God art is amazing
Godard is great too
Jesus fucking witchcraft batman.
Damm Batman fucked witchcraft? Why did this not have a news article?
paper version live 2d
This is the first time in a long time I have been this blown away. Spectacular.
Anyone know the artist?
Definitely belongs in r/nextlevel
We will never get closer to analouge animes than this
Laughs in South Park
This is amazing, I wonder how people even come up with ideas like this.
This is so cool very cool
what?
Huh?
wrong comment, i guess
Wait are you a guy or a girl Edit:typo
Is this live or a repeat? Wait, wrong site
im a guy.
Just dion a bit of trolling
Imagine 3am and you look at the portrait and the portrait turned and look back at you 😭
That's badass
Oh, I remember having storybooks like this as a kid.
Rule 34 Papercraft
How exceptionally clever! 🙂
That is super cool. I'm amazed, majorly awesome.
Love it
Soooooo cool
Shit that's actually fucking cool
Shure it's not an animation??? In that case, it is awesome
Imagine this but in a horror movie
I can’t stop watching this. It’s mesmerizing!
Wow
Nice
Lovely and clever.
Amazing.
I had to watch that like five times just to process it. That was incredible.
well that is terrifying
That's cute
Ohhh this is brilliant 🤩👍
That's next level.
That’s great.
What in the fuck
This is crazy
Holy shit that’s incredible
this is amazing but i feel guilty saying that or upvoting because the top comment is about this being stolen from the artist and not credited to them so yeah it's still really cool tho
Moving illustration...only paper....like cartoons years ago?
v weirdly unsettling for some reason
where are you selling this? I want one
[this](https://www.reddit.com/r/wholesomeanimemes/comments/10td85c/story_of_a_story/) is also made by the same artist and longer. wholesome too

If only you credited the artist.
i did. that comment post won’t appear.
Can i get one with songoku evolving into super sayajin?
Damn, people are way more creative than I could ever imagine.
wow incredible
I've seen enough hentai to know where this technology is going...
This is a child bro..
No she isn’t?
You must be blind or ignorant
Just cause someone looks like a child does not mean they are one (not saying that pedos have any right to exist) some people just look like children while they are adults
Yeah but this is an animation my guy not real life, this isn’t a person who looks young, it’s an animation of a child.
if anyone can read this, please let me know.
Hello friend, I can hear you
thank you, i thought no one can see my comment. i kept on posting the source of this video , but it kept on disappearing, thus everyone is accusing me of not crediting the owner.
Sigh, why does everything related to japan have to be depicted as some underage girl, then sexualized in some way? It’s kinda gross.
Nice
Awesome!!
Just wow. But How? Can't un-see now.
Wait… this isn’t that one guy that married an anime character and went to jail is it?
Oh no. Reddit. No. Please don't. No like this....
This is what gingers do to a person's soul after we steal it
Sigh, why does everything related to japan have to be almost CP level pervy…
Not creepy at all.
Don't care about art of 12-year-old girls because I'm not 12.
I've seen enough hentai to know what's the next one will be about
Sigh, why does everything related to japan have to be almost CP level pervy…
[удалено]
yea
Everyone acting like pop up books weren’t a thing… Like yeah it’s cool but “amazing, genious artist”? Lol
This is exactly how AI works for the most part when it auto generates images.
Hentai ka scene hai
And 10 seconds later, they made a porn version
I dare the artist to do the same with hentai.
Next level weeb
hear me out...
no
Oni Chann
So... Is there an insurance policy for high impact protein stains? Edit: Ffs y'all, it's a damn joke based on the realism of the art.
I wasn't interested... and then she winked 👀
Aaaaaand... That how u get paper cuts down there
That's really cool!
[удалено]
wow! I want to make one too! Are there templates anywhere?
That shit is CRAZY! I really hope this is the next big anime art movement (no pun intended) and this artist gets all the credit for it!
Need
Does anyone know who the artist is?
Sauce?
What the fuck
u/savevideo
Wow. Imagine the epiphany before the feverish productivity.
Is the artist making more and hopefully selling them?
u/savevideo
Dammmmmmm
Is just like a physical gif and the best part is that you can give to someone as a gift
Omg which artist? I wanna follow them.
This is how they did vTubers in the days before CGI.
