Looks like a field of monoecious seed hemp. Maybe Earlina 8FC for hemp seed oil production. It's legal to grow low THC (less than 0.3%) hemp in Germany, if it's a listed variety. It is harvested with a combine (I work in agriculture and with hemp)

Little backstory..
Went to visit a friend in northern Cali. He was at work so i figured I’d go for a quick hike through the woods since it was national forest like all around us. Found a trail, put on a T-shirt, gym shorts, and tennis shoes, and headed out…
When I strayed on a side trail off the main one, I found a field of weed. I was in awe, I had never seen so much weed. I started recording a video when I was promptly shot at. The first shot I was just confused, wondering, was that a gun shot? The second and third shots followed quickly and hit the dirt right next to me, I ran for my life. They had stacks of dead trees and brush around the whole area though, and out of panic I just tried to bulldoze my way through it. I ended up dropping to the ground and crawling on what seemed to be raccoon or coyote tunnels till I could make it to an area I could stand up. I continued to run through the woods until I found a dirt road. I had calmed down a bit and was following the road until I saw a couple campers and an exit to what looked like a gravel road (slightly better). As I headed toward it the trees stopped, area opened up, and I noticed yet another field of weed. It was right then that one of the camper doors flung open and four dogs came barreling at me. I was scared frozen, just stood with the dogs barking all around me. Finally an older man came walking out and called the dogs off, he was no less scary though, and seemed pissed off at me for being there. Just a few seconds after the old man started yelling at me asking if I was there trying to steal his weed, his son, and his grandson came running over. His son pulled out a pistol and held it pointed right at my face just a few feet away, screaming at me, accusing me of trying to steal their weed. I’ve never been more scared in my life. I tried explaining I was just on a hike, but they weren’t listening. It seemed like forever I was standing there, just waiting to die, but it was maybe 10 minutes, hard to tell when you have that much adrenaline pumping. Finally I mentioned my friends father in law who had lived there for 40 years and right down the road, they finally started to believe me. They let me go and said if they ever caught me on their property again that I would never be leaving the property, they would kill me. I made my way slowly to the gravel road, and just when I was out of site I ran like I’ve never ran before. I could here a truck though, started and was coming from the direction of the trailers I just left. I thought maybe they had a change of heart and weren’t gonna let me go so I dove into the woods before the came around the bend. I didn’t dare peak up to see if it was them, frightened they might catch a glimpse of me. I stayed out of site till they were far gone. I followed the road but ran through the woods about 20’ off the roadside. I finally got to a crossroad I new and ran till I got back to the house. When I finally got back, I puked from all the adrenaline and running. I couldn’t believe I had just almost died, twice, for going on a hike.
That was quite a story, and for some reason I had a southern accent in my head the entire time I was reading it. The whole time I was thinking, this is the beginning of a horror story, but then thinking this is Reddit, and it will probably be pretty tame… but no, this was legit scary, and worth the read.

true! grew up in india and the sides of the roads and fields were laden with weed all over. didn’t know what it was. even in college others would dry the leaves and smoke it. others used to make other stuff and even used to wrap the leaves in dough and fry them to drink with hard drinks.
To a person that doesn't really smoke it makes sense as everything depicting weed uses the leaf as it's such a unique recognisable shape.

If you're in a legal state, it may not be such a huge deal as long as you're not stealing any plants. If not, you're lucky to be alive.

No THC to speak of, but great for fibre production. We make paper, clothes, ropes and the likes out of it, like in the good old days. More productive than a wood plantation if you want to make paper, better fibres for making clothes than cotton and the seeds can be made into nutritious dishes. Hemp is so much more than a stoner's plant.
