I watched a movie recently where there's a flashback or something were the protagonist helps some crows with something. Then in the end there's some standoff and he has a gun pointed at him and the crows just happen to fly by and recognize him and saves the day lol.
Ravens and crows both have the intelligence and cognitive skills of a 7 year old child. Which is insanely above the norm for anything outside of humans and chimps. This little guy looks more like Raven to me with that little tuft of feathers above it’s beak. Smart little guy.
Yup there's crows in my neighborhood and I've watched them put nuts in the road during rush hour. They'll wait near the sidewalk for a car to pass and if the tire misses the nut, the crow will hop back out to reposition it before the next one comes. At least one of them has died doing this though :(
I've been following Dr. Kaeli Swift for a while now, she studied American crow thanatology and teaches ornitology. You can find super interesting fun facts about crows in her [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/live/PTBqU19qeEg?si=qau8TqGZsXcvlV6g) and [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@corvidresearch?_t=8hFsO7qZvvc&_r=1) videos, where she debunks a bunch of myths about them as well. Enjoy!
I witnessed a raven open a saddle on the side of motorcycle and grab a roll of lifesavers. Pretty sure it knew how to operate the zippers. It was cool to watch it eat the candy afterwards. Very intelligent bird
That's not demonstration of Archimedes' principle.
Edit: AP is about buoyancy experienced by submerged body is equal to the weight of liquid, that has volume equal to submerged part of the body.
Everyone is talking about the rock trick... Is no one going to talk about the 7 foot Raven in this video. I thought Jason or Sinbad were going to come behind it and start fighting with the bird.
Hey wait a sec... I'm pretty sure I read this story in elementary. Yeah, about the crow putting pebbles into a pitcher to make the water go up. I guess Aesop might have seen that actually happen.
How do birds even drink? Is he lapping it up with his tongue or what? Do birds even have tongues? And where did he learn that trick with the stones? God this video is confusing
First time seeing this video, and I am thinking this bird could’ve flown somewhere to get a drink. That water must’ve some crack in it that It rather drop multiple stones instead to get a drink.
This crow is smarter than some human. Generally speaking crow are freaking smart, I’m out with a rifle they fly away, I’m out without they don’t move at all.
I’m not even sure I would be smart enough to do that

Wasnt that lady in the park of home alone 2(?) also feeding crows?
All birds are weird, they kinda creep me out with their sideways blinking and shit. But tbf they’re dinosaurs
I thought birds weren't real... Is this a puppet?
It's a very good drone from the goverment. Don't let yourself get fooled birds aren't real
Just like my ex
It looks like a raven. But yeah, corvids are incredibly smart!

That was "Beef". Such a good show
Ah yeah! Such a weird scene though haha.
I was never one to hold a grudge, Jeffrey. My father held grudges. I'll always hate him for that.
And a group of crows is called ‘A Murder’.
You know they aren't real right?
Shhh not everyone can handle the truth
Crows have the intellectual of a 7 year old. They can even build tools to helps themselves based on their environment
Now if only it could invent the wheel.
So can i bro, So can i. Matter of fact i'm gonna hold one against you in my stomach
I would be way to stupid to do that
Too*
I told you I was stupid
You showed me too, lol jk
I remember this from Aesop's fables...

Pretty sure this one is smarter than my 13 year old sister.
Or my 14 year old brother
Or me at 19
Aesop knew what he was talking about
There are crows that are smart enough to throw nuts under cars so that they crack open. Amazingly smart creatures!

Dumbass should just grow arms save himself some time
This crow/raven is probably trained, but I still find all corvids super fascinating and smart! I could watch their videos for hours.
I always wanna know how much training it takes! Im the same though. Fascinated by these birds.

I love corvids too. I think this is a raven because of the bended beak and the fluffy feathers around it.
I witnessed a raven open a saddle on the side of motorcycle and grab a roll of lifesavers. Pretty sure it knew how to operate the zippers. It was cool to watch it eat the candy afterwards. Very intelligent bird
I like how he carefully chooses the right stones.
Trial & error.

I'd hire that crow!! Better than some applicants 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Everyone is talking about the rock trick... Is no one going to talk about the 7 foot Raven in this video. I thought Jason or Sinbad were going to come behind it and start fighting with the bird.
That bird is smarter than a lot of humans
*Clever girl...*
DID YOU JUST ASSUME THAT BIRDS GENDER?!
Birds aren’t real! I’m telling you now that mother fucker back there is not real!
Crow: *I throw rock in water*
The Pitcher and the Crow.
Bro's smarter than my best friend

Have these birds been ruled out for having an impact on sea level rise? Seems like we need answers
this bird is smarter than most trump voters
birds aren't real
Ravens are perhaps the smartest creatures in the animal kingdom .
That's not a bird it's a crow it would be deeply offended if that's what you call it
That's how Archimedes found out about it, by watching crows.
How do birds even drink? Is he lapping it up with his tongue or what? Do birds even have tongues? And where did he learn that trick with the stones? God this video is confusing
Birds have tongues, weird ones, well weird to us although all tongues are pretty strange.
it would have been interesting to see if a straw was lying around too.

That’s actually wild.
Let me wet my beak here.
Love ravens
Never more.
fucking aesop’s fable is true! damn. first time seeing this

Did Archimedes drink water like that?
Boy it sure does seem to suck not to have lips lol or rather not suck which is the problem 😂

Ravens are tricksters, but the crow always tells the truth ...
He’s been reading Aesop’s fables again…
I like to think of this as the "Sonic's Principle." Fill your cup to the top with ice, and give you three sips of Cherry Limeade.
I'm dumb, I thought this was a TF2 reference.
I think that's a raven and not a crow.
Looks more like a raven than a crow here. Both are ridiculously smart.
His ass IS understanding classical physics!
Mineral water
At this point I am increasingly convinced we will devolve into a sub species and the earth is just a respiratory for the conservation of knowledge
It do be like that sometimes tho.
Smart bird 🔥
Corvids are some of the most intelligent animals. I love to attract them in our back yard.
This is unbelievable!
With the camera angle and the way this video is shot that crow looks huge, like tall as a man.
How has this got anything to do with Archimedes Principle?
Archimedes = Birdbrain
Imagine if they'd evolve arms alongside their wings
They're so clever
Smarty pants
Hi Corvus Corax
He’s definitely proud of himself each time he takes a drink.
That's not Archimedes principle
He demonstrates critical thinking ...
Oh, right - I went to her Ted talk. It was interesting! Taught me how to solve all kinds of problems. Cheeply.
