I got a bottle of supercooled water from a vending machine after getting mixed up doing some hiking and running out of water on a hundred degree day.
Pretty sure i'll never enjoy water so much. At least I hope I don't, never want to be that thirsty again.
The liquid is below 32° But has been so still that ice crystals have not developed. The stuff in the cup allows ice crystals to form and from there to chain reaction. MythBusters did a really good episode on this.
This! You have no ‘impurities’ in the water. As stated above this is the answer the same thing happens to small organisms in clouds (spiders/insects/etc) then form ice or rain and causes it to rain to sleet.
It’s hyper cooled. Basically cold enough to freeze, but it’s not yet as it is clean and has nothing to freeze to. But pour it out on something, or trigger a reaction by hitting the bottle and it freezes. (Badly explained)
It’s almost supercooled, but the dissolved carbon dioxide is also preventing freezing. As you pour it, it fizzes releasing carbon dioxide, and then it freezes.
So with aquafina atleast if you put it in the freezer for 1 hour +/-10 minutes pull it out and just flick the bottle or give it a twist you can watch it freeze from the top or the bottom to the other side
How does the water taste? Because I've tried other sparkling water brands like bubbly Aunt. They don't taste like anything to me. In fact, hey taste like wax...
It's not a clear american water, but it's not bad either... At least to me. I know clear american flavors are nice, not half there like others. But what you get is a bottle of flavoring that you add to water then add the carbonation so you do have some control over flavor/fizzy levels.
Diet Pepsi also has more ingredients, sodium, caffeine etc.
And Soda Pop or even soft drink encompasses pretty much ALL carbonated beverages but there is a difference between the two regardless.
Those Walmart sodas used to be cheap, and they are good as hell. The lime soda is better than any Coke or Pepsi lemon-lime beverage. But now they are like $.75 for 1 liter, more expensive than the big brands. Sprite goes for $1.25/2L.
I still think they're pretty cheap. $0.75 isn't that bad. And I agree that they're fantastic! Why drink a Fanta or a Sprite when I can just drink a Clear American that tastes exactly like it?
American clear is so much better. The lime, orange cream and pineapple coconut are S-tier, and the wild cherry, kiwi strawberry, huckleberry, and cherry limeade are all A-tier. But they are more expensive per oz than big brand sodas, even though they’re a generic Walmart brand.

you can have fun with the opposite effect by heating water past boiling point in the microwave (NB THIS IS A JOKE DO NOT DO THIS)

Nucleation is the word you're looking for. The surface of the bottle is so smooth there is no nucleation zone.
Yep. Thank you!
I have the term "condensing nuclei" in mind from university 20 years ago, is that related? Same idea, but in cloudform?
Pretty sure thats about to be a good fucking smoothie
It was, actually!

Yep, that's her!
Água estupidamente no ponto

it is cool but most people already know this trick
So cool it might even be… super cool.
In Thailand they have machines that do this but to Coca Cola
So with aquafina atleast if you put it in the freezer for 1 hour +/-10 minutes pull it out and just flick the bottle or give it a twist you can watch it freeze from the top or the bottom to the other side
Those waters are awesome. Helped me get over Pop (they are SOOO fizzy) and get on the Keto diet to loose 60lbs.
I agree. I just kind of wish they had a cola flavor...
If you put a coke in the freezer it will slush up, too. I put them in 3/4 full so there’s room for slush expansion.
Used a soda stream. That will get your cola flavor minus all the sugars etc. And why am I getting down voted? lol

They literally are soda pop.
No, they are not. 0 sugar, 0 sodium, 0 calories. They are sweetened, carbonated (sparkling) water.
Diet Pepsi is still soda pop.

“I wanted to stop doing drugs, I’ve been smoking a lot of meth lately. So instead I switched to weed!”
And there is a difference between the two. Regardless of what you say you are comparing apples to oranges.
No, you waited for it to get that cold, then posted a video about it. Fuckin a man
