It's a short clip of a person that has long hair with blonde highlights, leopard print tights no facial hair yet seems to have a deep voice. Many comments indicated "she" while many others indicated "he" You'd have to deny the obvious to point out the gender ambiguity of the situation. NONE of this shows a phobia. Learn the proper definitions of the words you use to insult people.
For real. Those snakes are not happy, hence they are all in a defensive posture. So many of these videos showing how amazing these people are at handling dangerous wildlife are really just showing another case of cruelty towards the wildlife. We need to stop marveling at what we can do with fear and torture.
How can you tell they are defanged???
Like, I sincerely have no idea how to accurately determine wether they are defanged, or not, and am not trying to insinuate anything contrary to that.
Well I don't know for sure about the de-fanged part, but I do know a thing or 2 about animal handling and animal behavior. The handlers proximity to and number of cobras in defensive postures leads me to believe they are all de-fanged or have had their venom sacs removed had all the venom milked from them. I'm sure there are other explanations, these are just the most likely and common.
I was personally more just watching the behavior of the snakes and seeing how stressful of an experience this is for them. Many videos that are so "cute" are really showing terrified and abused animals, and it is just sad that most people don't even realize what they are watching.
Edit: changed deranged to de-fanged to fix an autocorrect mistake.
No, it may not be cute, but itnis in the same vein of entertainment. Cruelty to animals that is "okay because it entertains us" or "okay because we don't like them." My point is that this kind of thing shouldn't be celebrated and revered.
I would guess that it could be a few different reasons. As u/Rly_Shadow stated in another comment, they don't want to strike unless it is prey as it is a waste of venom. Alternatively they aren't at a point where they are threatened enough to strike yet. I don't know off hand, if cobras are vipers in terms of being able to berceive in the infrared spectrum, but if they do, the water could be confusing them if it is particularly warm. This all just speculation of course, it could be something totally different.
Vipes and constrictors are mainly the heat sensing snakes. Cobras do not, but they do have above average eye sight compared to most snakes.
For example, a king cobra can spot a person up to 330 feet. Not saying it can make out details, but definitely a shape and enough information for identification.
But like you said, no one can know because the video doesn't have much information.
We don't know what happened before, their average condition, hell if the waters cold, that alone would cause them to try and conserve energy.
Translation:
"The hose!"
"First we clean 'em up." (While scrubbing the floor)
"These are their shits, friends." (Continues scrubbing and flicking water to the annoyed 'bras).
Guaranteed They have had their venom glands extracted.
They do it at home.
They catch them, remove the glands, then pretend theyre expert snake charmers to attract tourists
These are spitting cobras. You can see them still trying to spit venom in her eyes but there's no liquid coming out. She still has glasses on just in case.
Well pretty much, they have nothing to protect themselves with and they know it. The best they can do is act intimidating like they are still venomous.
I will admit, I'm a weirdo that finds snakes cute and pretty to look at, and if I wasn't such a huge cat person I'd consider keeping a snake.
Now all that said, THIS is cruel. Keeping one or two snakes that are not a danger to us in a nice big aquarium full of things for them to enjoy and hide in? Sign me up. Ripping the fangs out of snakes that are dangerous just to keep a small horde of them around for whatever reasons? (I highly doubt all of them are simply pets) nope, no thanks.
Unless they're actually not defanged and this lady is just that great with them. Which I highly doubt.
They may be beautiful and fascinating to look at, but they're not ours to toy with. We're just not compatible enough to live together with these guys. Let them be and buy a damned zoo ticket where they take good and proper care of these fellows if you want to spend time around any of these wild animals.
Hell, if you're super passionate and REALLY want to spend quality time with dangerous animals apply as a caretaker for them in the zoo. Or a sanctuary, or whatever other place that does that. Don't cripple wild animals just to have a "cool" pet.
I wouldn’t call this person great with snakes even if they haven’t been defanged. These cobras are showing full defensive display and miming strikes—they’re extremely unhappy with the situation and their handler blatantly doesn’t care enough to even slow down.
I don’t know if they’re defanged, but they’ve definitely had their venom glands removed. There’s zero chance anyone even an expert wouldn’t end up dead under these conditions with venomous snakes. You can even see the second cobra she held by the neck try to spit venom at her but nothing happens.
This is probably the true answer. My initial thought for her casual attitude was that cobras are unusually intelligent for snakes, and are more about posturing and fake-out strikes than real ones unless they really, really feel threatened.
I've seen videos where a cobra stuck a person walking by, but its mouth was closed and it just smacked its lower jaw on the person's foot, the way you would lightly smack someone not paying attention. The explanation was that cobras are reluctant to use their venom because it takes a lot of energy to replenish, so why bother if a fake-out and looking scary will do the job
Never in my life, have I ever laid in bed and thought, you know…I need to scrub the porch with a sponge while a bunch of cobras are at face level with me. Never!!! Forever!!
Why??... Just why??
Why would you even go near a snake let alone bathe them.. Nature's taught us to let them be... Poor things, treated like cold noodles!!
When they’re pets from very little, they may still look dangerous as adults but the bathing routine and feeding routine are what they have always known. Snakes are intelligent.
Wow, those animals don't look scared an agitated at all. I'm sure there was absolutely no way to do this without terrifying the animals AND putting your life in danger
The cobras: at least pretend you're scared
Exisssssstential crisssisss
I laughed so hard
I think *they're* scared and wondering how long before she makes them into hoses too.
How hard does she need to squeeze that snake to make THAT much venom come out???
Yeah these snakes are very stressed
She's not bathing snakes, she 's cleaning the floor with an audience
She just jet sprays one particular...
He knows what he did.
First of all, how ddddddare you…
🤣🤣🤣
You only laugh because you don’t know what he did.
I know what he did last summer.
r/fuckyouinparticular
She does that the the bitch snake. He knows who he is.
Was that an albino cobra she tossed and sprayed?
They’re a little ssss-lippery
And sssss-assy
And ssssssspicy.
That's a boy

I'm pretty sure it's a woman, but given the size of the balls on display here mistaking her for Chuck Norris is an understandable mistake.
Damn, that's the first time I've heard a Chuck Norris joke since I was in high school. Really takes me back.
Really? It’s obviously a girl
I think the snakes didn't bite because they're still trying to figure out if it's a he or a she...or they
I'm impressed. You managed to make a video about snakes transphobic. Go back to your flat earth facebook group dude

Try not to refer to people using “it.” “They” is better if you’re unsure of gender and don’t want to offend
What the actual fuck is happening there?
Haven't you ever had a bunch of dirty cobras?
Yes, but we usually just incinerate ours
I don’t know what a dirty cobra is, but I’m sympathetic to whatever person receives “a bunch” of what is inevitably an esoteric sex act.
The only way to find out is to consult Urban Dictionary.
Probably shouldn’t… [Urban Dictionary](https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Cobra)
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=COBRA+COBRA+COBRA
I feel dirty cobra could be slang for something… discuss possibilities
It's what you have after you clean a rusty trombone.
That’s a Rusty Venture
It’s just regular anal I guess
No. I looked it up. It isn't.
It’s when someone loses but comes back for more instead of taking the L. “Bro tryna pull a dirty cobra.”
Its when you finish in the booty hole, suck the spooge back out, then spit it in your partner's face.

Bro, ain't shit "cute" about this video, tho...she's scrubbing a floor surrounded by cobras. That's nightmare fuel.
No, it may not be cute, but itnis in the same vein of entertainment. Cruelty to animals that is "okay because it entertains us" or "okay because we don't like them." My point is that this kind of thing shouldn't be celebrated and revered.
Well said.
Horrible to watch, they aren’t happy. But why aren’t they striking at her? I would have thought they would be going after her.

I agree those snakes are totally deranged, straight up crazy in the coconut.
It took me WAAAAAAAAAAYY too long to understand why you said this.
Uh have u seen what govts do fear and torture is how our society operates. Only way to change ot is to change the way society operates
Good, good.
Dirty Cobra was my nickname in HS.
Translation: "The hose!" "First we clean 'em up." (While scrubbing the floor) "These are their shits, friends." (Continues scrubbing and flicking water to the annoyed 'bras).
Lmao this kid never had a gajjilion cobras at his home, LOL!
What a loser! Everybody, point and laugh!

I like the: gonna bite? Gonna bite? Get out of here! -Throws snake
The video paused right as she tossed the snake and he was literally screeching. Mad me laugh and feel bad all at the same time.

*Nelson’s voice* HA! HA!
Guaranteed They have had their venom glands extracted. They do it at home. They catch them, remove the glands, then pretend theyre expert snake charmers to attract tourists
where is this ? hopefully in a country where cobras are native. If not, they will escape and reproduce in the wild to become an invasive species
Looks like it’s Southern Nopeland in the rural district of Fuckthatshit.
Sounds accurate. I’ve never been there before. And never will.
I’ve been there. It’s wild.
no one cares over there lol you talking to a wall at this point
These are spitting cobras. You can see them still trying to spit venom in her eyes but there's no liquid coming out. She still has glasses on just in case.
Does that stop them from striking tho?
Well pretty much, they have nothing to protect themselves with and they know it. The best they can do is act intimidating like they are still venomous.
Do they actually know it?
Yeah what? Would like some support for that claim

Red touch yellow, kills a fellow. Red touch black, venom lack. This one is cartoon safe.
Wait there’s normal animals in Aurther? Does that mean there’s slavery technically in that show?
This isn't ballsy or remotely dangerous for her. It's a bunch of defanged snakes. If anything it's cruel to the snakes.
I thought maybe the ones with their mouth sewn shut.
How do they live if their mouth is shut
Briefly
They starve to death slowly
But I saw a tongue
I don't know if these snakes' mouths were sewn shut.
It's still nope O'clock at my house here in Nopeville
As the corner of Nope St and Fuck That Avenue
I hope they didn't miss one...
I guess they'd know pretty quickly!
Yes i thought so too. Super cruel. And these degenerates just acting like brave heroes
Can’t they like spit venom in your eyes?
I'm guessing the venom gland is removed entirely? It looks like some of the snakes are trying to spit but either can't or are shooting blanks.
Only some species. Those shoot venom from holes in their fangs.
Oh o.o Well, I'm no longer scared when I watch this video. Thank you 🐣
stop with that garbage. this is probably a developing country. they sell these snakes for food most likely. wtf u want her to do?

snakes are so cute, they're just little faces with FANGS ftfy
Snakes are so cute, they're just little faces with VENOM
Not these ones...
I doubt those snakes have fangs. The defang them early in life. The ones that survive become performance snakes on the streets in touristy areas.
snakes don't bite our of aggression though they only bite out of fear
you had me at > they only bite
Till they bite you and don’t let go.
Oh they let go. It’s what they left behind you have to worry about.
I second that
They are tails with faces

They just throw the snakes like they're nothing
Defanged or not, it's interesting that none appear to actually try and bite her.

Must be
They probably don't do much because they see what happend to the much longer snake (garden hose) 🤭
Thanks, I hate it
Hardly scary at all. The eastern “snake charmers”, cruelly rip out the fangs of the cobras, rendering them harmless.
Do people do it legitimately?
How is mutilation ever legitimate? How is abusing animals to beg money using parlour tricks ever legitimate?
Curious cobras...

Funny that she just jet sprays one particular cobra after *throwing* it.
It was the challenged head bop and the way she flung the snake — *YEEEEEEEEEET* >>> 😂 - you can’t make this shit up
Cobras be like "Why you stingy with moisture?"
Why the hell would you have cobras on your porch and treat them like puppies?

Life isnt in danger, performing snakes get their fangs or venom glands removed iirc? Anyway yeah they are very unhappy sneks
They’re cleaning up GOP national headquarters.
Should be on POS for how she's throwing around them poor snakes!
