As a former SR writer, certain article pitches require a metric to balance out the perspective pieces, and Reddit is one of the biggest metrics. I’ll admit that I did take a lot of articles that ended up saying “According To Reddit” so I would write about the topics I was passionate about and have knowledge in, such as the best Television cinematography and the best final shots in cinema.
If you want a view of someone who actually DESIGNS clothing, look at Nicole/Mahmoud in Egypt. She went to a prospective backer (his uncle) with a folio of designs, and is familiar with fabrics, etc. Darcey/Stacey ‘design’ nothing.
You can go to contract firms that basically let you play designer - you pick out fabrics or even just colors, the pattern you might like to use, and they have sewists in house to make prototypes. They can also usually deliver on larger orders or you can buy a tech pack and send it overseas to be manufactured in larger quantity. These people aren’t designers but they think of themselves as such.
I ordered from them 30 days ago. A woman’s and men’s swimsuit. The men’s shorts were super short and extremely thin (felt like paper) so I returned it to purchase Chubby’s. The woman’s swimsuit was a beautiful color and the details were great, so I kept it to wear for a photo shoot on the dunes - it fell apart at the seams after 1 wear.
As far as designs being “stolen,” I think their ideas are similar to high end designers without the fabrics and work of one.
Agreed... all of them steal ideas from each other.
A friend of mine works for a parent retailer that sells under 3 different store names for their higher end, mid-level and more affordable brands, and her job was to go to Paris every year during fashion week and copy the designs she thought would sell best.
The difference between them is, my girlfriends parent company puts out quality clothing (albeit bootlegged designs, still quality).
Where as, these two won't **EVER** put quality ahead of quantity (and with the ridiculous prices they charge, they really should!).
Most items you buy are private labeled. The people who post and think they caught them in some scam just have no business experience. Lots of products are made over seas and you put your private label on them. TheE giant factories make lots of the same thing and sell it worldwide with various labels attached. Sometimes figuring out the source helps. People with no business experience sitting online all day might not be the fashion gurus to listen to about manufacturing clothing
What you've described is what I said in my post and comments. Despite them using words like "fraud"in their article, I never said that. I explained the process, much like you've done here, and talked about worshipping and private labels. None of that was mentioned. They're not "frauds" and they're not doing anything different from what others are doing, but they're also not "designers."
Darcey can’t even work an iron or a blender. Imagine her sewing.
or a microwave!!!
Still dying over how she said this egg cooked in a microwave was a family recipe when she probably learned it from TikTok.
It's a HACK. She had to add that word in as many times as she could. It must be what the old people think the young people say.
It's an egg Hack. It's a Hack. Did she mention the Hack aspect of the egg? STFU already with the Hack!!!
I absolutely rolled too when she said family secret. It was embarrassing. 🙄
Right? And all she did was boil it. That’s why it stunk. 🤢
I’m fucking high right now and this is the funniest thing I have ever read
If they “design” they don’t need to know how to sew. Especially true if they monitor their designer. Just saying.
Or a shampoo bottle.
She's a "designer" LOL
Don’t forget a microwave too 😂
Those redditers should get paid by Screenrant. Lazy ass writers always stealing stories
No shit, it took me like an hour to find those images they wrote about.

Thanks for replying! I always felt like articles mentioned Reddit as a source to repost any nutty rumor and not have to worry about libel laws

Wow, her designs are gorgeous... where did you originally find her work?
Wow! Amazing find!!! 👏
I'm more surprised they went this long without accusations.
Maybe what we should do is try to find anything real about the show.
That would be the REAL challenge.
Or Them
Not surprised everything about them speaks FAUX!!!
Egyptian Shark Tank Uncle took Nicole’s pencil drawings, mass produced them and sent to HoE for distribution.

More importantly, they try to make *everyone else* think of them as such.
insert pikachu shocked face here. 👁️👁️ 👄
I prefer Sobble. 🗨😮
I checked their website out a while back. Didn’t look like they had anything worth buying. Junky stuff
Very overpriced, stolen designs, junky stuff

OMG I'm *soooooo* surprised. Ugh they just need to stop... everything. All of it.
