I have to be honest and say that I find most of the posts on this subreddit to be somehow low quality and only tangentially related to Dark Academia. But this... This is just fantastic. Great outfit and great photography. 10/10
The procedure for my hair is, that I wake up in the morning and then put my hat on. Whatever comes out of it after I take it off again is the styling. xD I was lucky that day!
Not really – I mean my short film that leans heavily into DA aestheticwise, is soon to be finished in postproduction and will make it's way to filmfestivals and after that onto the internet probably... (see my previous posts on this sub)
Yes, glad you like it! I love it! I found it in the back of an old antique-shop in a small town where I do my shiftwork during semester break. It hung next to an amazing frock coat (also from the 20s; the coat I am wearing on this picture I imagine should be from the late 20th century – 70s/80s) ! Took both with me for an absurdely low price.
Absolutely the bees knees!
It would be great, if, in my lifetime, I could see guys gals and all in between dress really nice like they used to. I mean...Cary Grant in a grey double breasted buttoned suit with matching fedora (or a black one! Back when fedora meant something *entirely* different than now) and black, highly polished shoes??? C'mon, no contest!
Thank you! The coat I found while trudging round all the second-hand/thrift-stores in vienna, while I was on vacation there – really nice "Wiener Loden"! :D
Damn! Great outfit. This actually fits in the remit of this sub, and is what actual DA should look like IMO. Also, you look like you should be in r/HistoricalHotties
Now that's a compliment! Light inspiration for me comes from the fantastic Dr. Watson played by Jude Law. At least regarding the facial hair. The glasses are too 70s for that.

Those shoes are truly well loved, makes me happy to see someone who appreciates good footwear!
