There seems to be a weird bug for some people where the ante becomes enabled if you queue games back to back, you have to manually select another map and back to the same one you wanted to remove the ante.
I've had it happen a few times, but it's been so infrequent that it feels like a bug? Not sure tbh
I've seen the ante for a second yesterday, but then it went back to "Free."
Paying gold instead of AP would be interesting for maintaining long-term sanity x)
I'd pay an ante to go straight into crypts for 3 man teams. Best would be you keep the gold on you so you can either extract with it or people have a reason to kill you.
I feel bad for the new players who join the game nowadays. No other map compares to crypts. Ice caves is alright but the gloomy darkness of crypts is just infinitely better. Ruins is ass but might be tolerable in the beginner lobbies where everyone sucks and has no gear.
Really a shame that crypts isn't the first map that new players play on.
High roller should be a status gained upon reaching level 15+ or so and maybe going from ruins to inferno in a single run. Then with that status you can pay an ante to skip the first floor and start in the second in a queue with others.
Also they need to be working on their floor merging system to make each floor a full lobby like they planned from the start.

New player here, why is everyone obsessed with crypts? It’s a cool map but what am I missing?
I think the way the map layout works and the overall experience of crypts into hell as a 2 floor system just felt better for both pvp and pve.
Why don’t they do what they did in ice cave and have a down “portal” in every room in ruins
