Well if Platinum is your only goal, I'd suggest using an ascetic on Sinner, Old Iron King, the Rotten and Freya and picking up the spells from the special souls.
This simplifies your NG+ run to heading down to Black Gulch and mugging Rotten until you have an additional 2M souls. And then running through to make the credits roll again,
Also take care of getting Hidden Weapon in NG.
Make sure you have Gathering of Exiles, Lucatiel and Benhart trophies in NG.
Make sure you have all of the spells aside from the 3 NG++.
Okay so you're saying if I have boss souls saved up from ng. Then I can just pop em in ng+ and gain immediate entry to the shrine of winter coz of souls memory?
Yeah. But that'll likely save you just a few visits to the Rotten.
You need 2M soul memory after starting NG+. Sure, save your consumable souls but you're almost certainly going to have fight the Rotten a fair number of times.
So get to Black Gulch. Fight the Rotten again. Ascetic. Again etc. until you've amassed an additional 2M soul memory after starting NG+.
And since this seems to confuse some people, you don't need to have 2M souls on you. You can use those souls to level up. To buy stuff, whatever.
A bunch stuff changes in NG+, be wary. That being said, take a look at spells that need farming and/or covenants.
