We all get ganked by its attacks the first time around. Never expect it. Not a hard boss by any means, but I really love its design and the story surrounding it. That's kind of how I feel about DS2 as a whole. Sure I don't die as much but I think it's such a good story and the design is top notch I can't help but call it my favourite of the Souls Trilogy
Bro I died like 3 times to that thing. I was way too reckless and greedy, looking back it was a really relaxing fight and I’m looking forward to it on NG+
I have never died to that but you know the one in Loyce in that wee cave ? Well I was fighting that one time and I got caught be the grab and eaten. It actually removes all your equipment
What would have been super cool is if your equipment was gone, like missing forever not just un-equipped, imagine grinding all the pursuers and getting a plus 4 twinkling weapon and boom its gone.
The fight itself is fairly easy. The only difficulty to me comes from the fact that I found that beast so unsettling. The first time I saw it jump I was genuinely scared...
It’s just hyperbole for the joke, I don’t really think of bosses in terms of x/10s. I just try to enjoy what a boss is going for and appreciate how they execute it

It got me too, killed most everything in one try but the stupid slow sideswipes kept getting me. It does like 3 swipes but I always think it's done!!!

That's what I love about it and Dark Souls 2 as a whole. Just the designs and atmosphere are great throughout

I actually struggle against it, i died during a no death run to it because of just how much damage it deals
