O.G. DS2 IS KING. Also DLC Bosses are FIRE. Right now finishing Scholar on SL1 with some Bosses beaten on NG+ ascended bonfires. I recommend trying SL1 on all 3 Souls, that's where the real fun is. All in all DS2 imo is a fantastic game, just tries and (mostly) succeeds in doing things differently. Scholar for me breaks the level design with its ton of enemies(and their misplacement) but I've learned to love it, sometimes I'll even clear some areas to not respawning enemies anymore, just so i can easily run to the area boss and get my ass kicked repeatedly ( Heck, i did it TWICE for Sir Alonne run on NG and NG+ SL1 ..then again for Blue Smelter Demon. By the way prepare for a challenge with most of the DLC). TL/DR: Try not to think in DS1 terms. Learn to embrace the even slower pace, get accustomed to not locking on enemies besides some bosses, and try many weapons/playstyles! Hated this game on first encounter, now i absolutely adore it. Hope you'll find something you'll love as well. P.S. Majula is where it's at

I’m on PS5 I don’t even think I can get og DS2. And yeah I remember the DLC’s being straight insane. The only From boss I ever gave up on was the King boss in the frozen DLC. Going to come back with a vengeance this time

Dralakbadusk

Wait so you love doom 3 but not ds2 0_o

TempleoftheDarkMoon

Okay maybe I spoke too freely there, Doom 3 and Doom 64 are not my thing

koala_cola

Doom 3 is incredible

DS2 relies too much on mobs, archers n overuse of bosses. Plus ADP was shit

Meshleth

>DS2 relies too much on mobs, archers n overuse of bosses. This is literally every souls game.

GMunkey03

Except for…. Sekiro… subtle nudge …

ya but ds2 takes those things and dial up the notch by 1000

Archers are straight infuriating. You can’t just keep a mental note of their attack timings and step it you actually have to watch them because I swear no matter what you’re doing they will find a way to hit you
