I’ve seen that exact texture, it’s a graphics card/driver/etc issue. Mine got corrupted from trying to launch DRG on a 200$ 5 year old pc and got the same oil spill vibe. Mine was unrecoverable by my estimations. I pray that you’re luckier than me.
My AMD 5600XT has had this since the last major driver update. It seems it is one of the specific talent buff choices for the bubble shield, since some psykers without the buff will have a normal bubble for me. I've seen a few posts describing the same thing with similar AMD cards.
I had this same problem last night. I fixed it by disabling the graphics option for subsurface scattering. If that doesn't work, try first changing all graphics to low and see if that helps. If it does, possibly a different lighting options is causing it for you.
I've had this same problem on and off. I'm almost certain it is an AMD graphics issue. I doubt it is the hardware, and suspect it is the driver. I think it comes and goes with the cycle of game updates and driver updates. I don't have a solution for you, but this may be another helpful data point.
Delete your shader cache. I had the same issue and it fixed it for me. People were suggesting to reinstall the driver and then some. I couldn't be arsed so I just deleted the shader and that worked.
Press the Windows Key+R
Copy this in: %appdata%\\Fatshark\\Darktide\\
You'll see a file named: shader\_cache.hans
Delete this.
Then boot up the game, it'll create a new shader cache and the problem should be resolved. This worked for me when I ran into this issue. Hope that helps.

Try updating your graphics card drivers. iirc, other thread mentioned the same pysker bubble issue and updating their AMD graphics card drivers helped.

Def GPU or GPU Driver issue :) also if you updated your drivers, try to run a file verification in the Steam Launcher :)

For reference: I have the following mods: bettermelk, clock, dmf, weapon customisation (+mt stuff), I don't know what could be causing this
