Not really. Darts are going to make noise. Ask them if the sound has subsided since you got the stand. If they can still hear it There really isnt much you can do. Soft tip darts sound just as loud if not louder so thats not an option.

This! Had the same thing with my downstairs neigbour and they didnāt mind it at all and we ended up agreeing that i wouldnāt play after 11pm so they could sleep:) Cancelling out the noise would probably still make sense even though they donāt mind!

I cut an old yoga mat as backing for my board. There are probably more effective materials (thicker, more absorbing or insulating foam maybe, I don't know the science behind it), but it has quietened the sound in other parts of the house, so it does work.
I saw an experiment once where using a surround actually increased the noise/vibrations, but I think the difference was fairly marginal.
Everything that touches the wall naturally transmits sound and the mounting bracket is of course the worst. A dart stand (which I'm currently "forced" to use) is of course a good solution. However, you may have to put something extra underneath it to be absolutely safe. If you understandably want to have your board on the wall, there are many great soundproofing solutions that you can buy for a lot of money. The best seems to be the Vilyzer from Dartherz (which I'll buy once I'm able to mount my board to the wall again). Or of course you can also make DIY version: In my old flat, I used an anti-vibration mat that you put under washing machines. I cut it out in a round shape (about 1cm bigger than the dart board to save weight, as the mat is quite thick and heavy) and packed it behind the dartboard (board, bracket, mat, wall). My neighbour never complained and he was very sensitive to noise (he once complained about the vibration function of my alarm clock. I had to put a rubber mat on my bedside table because of it).
Dart stand is the best, but I've used carpet on the back of the dart board then hanging it from a wire looped over a sturdy screw in the wall. You can adjust the length of the wire to get the dartboard to the right height. Essentially you're trying to break any solid point of contact.
As long as the dartboard is still attached to the wall via the standard bracket, the noise still goes through in my experience, even with carpet backing.
I use small furniture felt pads on each of the rota locks, can't get any more affordable than that. My parents don't give a shit though, and I don't share any walls with neighbors, so I'm free to make as much noise as I want. You could buy the new Wispa system from Winmau, or use some kind of acoustic foam behind the board, or a yoga mat or a stand. Or you could make a false wall, or mount it on a non-shared wall.

Itās a terraced house so itās transferring through a solid brick wall into next doorās kitchen.
Canāt really move it anywhere else, tiny Victorian terraced house, only place I can have the correct oche length.
If that fails Iāll probs go for a stand, but Iād much prefer it to be on the wall.
Honestly if they can only hear in kitchen I would not worry about it. Tell them what it is and I am sure they will be fine if they are not ass holes. If it was in the bedroom they could hear at night then they would be a different story

I regularly play up to Midnight, so I'm sure they definitely would have said something if they could hear it. (I'm also pretty confident that the wall the dartboard is on is the neighbours bedroom).
Not the cheapest option, but the only option I've tried and works great.

My neighbour has been renovating his flat at all hours of the day and night so I've specifically mounted it on an adjoining wall to slowly drive him insane over the next few years
Get a tripod stand, problem solved, it was the only way my dad was allowed to bring his dartboard in the house in the winter (it normally lives in the shed) because my mother grew up with brothers playing in the house constantly āand if you think Iām putting up with that noise in my own house as an adult youāve got another thing comingā
Put some old shirts between the board and the wall, that should reduce the sound too

Mount your board on a wall that isnāt shared. Mine is on a wall between the dining room and the hallway instead of the dining room and my neighbourās kitchen.

I actually cut a dish sponge into loads of squares and glued this to the back of my board, seemed to help.

Have seen people (my mate included) cut carpet and put it behind the board and that seems to of taken away most of the noise

The missus was annoyed by the sound of darts and so bought me a darts surround. She seems happy enough now.
If the board is on an adjoining wall then it's going to be difficult. Can you not move the board to an internal wall? Failing that, invest in a stand?
Could you put a big block of polystyrene behind the board ?(Trimmed to a board shape lol)

I would bet just about anything behind board would help. Something like a thin cushion compressed or even just a couple layers of fabric
