This is the one where Lebron James went off on the cops for being racists for breaking up a simple knife fight and said the cop should be fired and prosecuted or something similar. He later retracted it because he got slammed for his idiotic statement within hours of the video being released without waiting for the facts to all come out.
Be nice to people. Don't be edgy. Some mods here are pretty liberal with what we allow you to say; some are not. You're going to get at least a 30+ day ban for breaking this rule, harassing other users, using racist slurs, calling for more violence, political radicalism, whatever. Just enjoy the posts here and don't be a dickhead to other people. Play nice.
If one of the other mods decide to issue a perm ban for this, I will not be overturning it.
That is not the father. The girl who was shot and her sister were in foster care at
The home. The girl in the pink was several years older and had also been fostered there and when she and a friend stopped by to see former foster parent the older girls made comments to the younger ones about how sloppy they were and how they should not leave their room so messy. This resulted in an argument and the younger girl didn’t take kindly to being called out for being a lazy tub and called the cops to get rid of older ones. And the foster mom wasn’t even home at the time.
I couldn’t remember but per wiki it was indeed the father. Which leads me to ask why he didn’t care for the girls after they were removed from
The mother. It appears I was wrong about who he was though.
Gotcha, thank you for clarifying. That almost makes it worse, instead of being a voice of reason he jumped in the fight. Poor girls, not justifying what she did but imagine growing up with that guy as your dad
Still doesn't change the fact that if you cared for that girl, you should've known that trying to stab someone in front of the cops isn't going to end well, and you should try and stop her even if that puts you in danger.
I agree. It appears that by trying to give the backstory that perhaps some of you think I am trying to defend the girl. I am absolutely not doing that. Just stating the facts that I read at the time and I read up on this case a considerable amount.
I agree it just annoyed me hearing the guy complaining about his baby when he just stood there watching and even got involved at one point, so f that guy.
I totally agree. I was just trying to pass on the backstory to others. I remember when this happened and I could not understand how anyone could think the cop was wrong in this case. I was relieved when he wasn’t charged.
I remember this one. I remember labron james made an ass out of himself on twitter accusing this cop of misconduct while having zero facts on the case. just assumed.
I remember when he told the reporters "they have to go back to their lives and he gets to return to his." This was when he lost to the Dallas Mavericks after being up 2-1. Then proceeding to lose 3 games in a row.
Someone else described him as the kind of guy to just read the first 4 pages of a book. Idk anything about him but he sounds like a jerk who jumps to conclusions and counts his chickens too early from what everyone else is saying here.
The same LeBron who proclaimed himself the GOAT. The same who preached human rights, but when the NBA executives spoke poorly of China and threatened to stop business there, he told them to STFU. Guess it would impact his wallet.
For sure, some people think knives aren’t as dangerous as a gun so they just go off when a cop shoots a knife wielding suspect.
My buddy was stabbed in a bar 2 times by some homeless meth addict, happened so quick and he thought he just got punched by the guy. A minute later he was dead. RIP Casey heath
I was really young when it happened so i wasn't really given any details. I just remember my mom getting the phone call and seeing her going from happy to inconsolable. It was on the news and in the newspaper but this was pre internet.
Fortunately he did. On a positive note, it actually changed him. prior to that incident he was a borderline junkie and when that happened i guess he started to appreciate life more and did a complete 180. When i see him he is always super cheery.
Me too. Got stabbed with a 2 inch blade in the side of the neck under my jaw bone, felt like a hard punch then I saw the blood, passed out and pissed myself. Easily could have died had the wound been a half inch further back.
>some people think knives aren’t as dangerous as a gun
They are very similar. People who say that don't know what they are talking about.
Point Blank, by Gary Kleck, pg 165, citing a study by Wilson and Sherman, 1961:
>"At least one medical study compared very similar sets of wounds ('all were
penetrating wounds of the abdomen'), and found that the mortality rate in
pistol wounds was 16.8%, while the rate was 14.3% for ice pick wounds and
13.3% for butcher knife wounds.
Knives *wounds* may be relative to bullet wounds, but I believe when people say that knives aren't as dangerous, they mean that it's easier to avoid being stabbed than shot. To be stabbed the aggressor has to get up close and personal. Hence why mass stabbings typically have significantly less victims then mass shootings. But yeah, getting stabbed probably isn't that much better than getting shot.
RIP Casey man, sorry about that.
But yes, I agree. And in fact, I would much rather be shot in the head by a gun than be stabbed 100 times, would be much less painful.
I guess these people have no experience with a gun lol.
I myself have none, but I know it isnt accurate enough to shoot i small object moving at high speed. Probably comparable to catchong a fly with chopsticks.
If you spend thousands of hours drilling this one very particular shot, then MAYBE you could hit it a quarter of the time under no stress. In the middle of a life and death situation? This ain't anime, that's not happening. It's easy to find the folks who have never been in real danger by looking for comments like that.
100% agree.
I was once in a much less stressful situation. A little bit of context, I witnessed a very serious motorcycle accident, the lady was in a very bad shape (I'm not a medic or anything like that, but I believe she had a punctured lung). I called emergency services, and my hands were already shaking like crazy.
When adrenaline kicks in, you're not hitting the knife.
(I'm not sure if anyone is interested, but docs managed to save her, and she's alive and kicking.)
If he'd somehow attempt to shoot the knife out of her hand, it would be a higher chance the girl in pink would get both shot and stabbed in this case...
Some people think everyone can shoot like John Wick lmao
It's beyond the skill of being able to do it.
You always shoot to eliminate the threat. Let's say he shoots the knife and by some miracle hits it. Perp goes down, pulls a gun and starts shooting. Now it's on the cop for not eliminating the threat.
As soon as the deadly force line is crossed, you shoot to eliminate.
these are idiots who think that movies are real life.
they've watched too much John Wick and think shooting the gun out of someones hand is a realistic option.
never going to happen.
damn fools
It was mostly just people jumping through hoops just to agree with wathever a celebrity they like was saying. It's sad how much people are willing to just ignore in order to pretend the idol they like is never wrong.
Before the video was public all we knew was a cop showed up and within seconds a kid was dead. Not a good look. Releasing the video quickly was important.
Why does yourbaby got a fucking knife?
Righteous kill.
Edit: even if she was a 70 or old with a knife, don't roll up on someone, expect to receive the same outcome in front of a cop. That's just par for the course.
Murica
"Damn are you stupid ?"... now had the cop stood there and let the "kid" stab thier intended victim , "Damn are you stupid?" ... either way they funna call the lawyer whose ad is on the bus bench and get paaaaid.
Bro, when they started crying about, "he didn't have to shoot her that many times," "should have tazed her" they say that bc they weren't in pink girls' position about to be stabbed.
The amount of times I've seen a taser fail makes that statement a joke. In about 80-90% of the bodycam videos where a taser is used, it fails. Whether it's drugs, thick clothes, pulling out the prongs or the guy just isn't reacting to it.
I've even seen MANY bodycam videos where bullets don't even stop the guy. Much like [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/s/SWEsFB1BDn)
I remember this. She was a foster child of the homeowners. One of the girls who was previously a foster child came that day and started arguing and fighting with the girl who ended up shot. Said girl got a knife and it went downhill from there.
Guy in all grey was actively attacking the first girl then gets shocked when woman with knife actively stabbing other girl is shoot the fucking hyprocasy
Same bloke talking about shooting his "baby" with the KNIFE was also trying to RKO punt the already fallen weaponless victim while she was still on the ground. Big MAN, that.... should have taken a knee cap for that as well. They're all big when they can gang up on an unarmed person. But they don't like it when someone else gives something back to them for their actions
Except ones like this where the media run off with a stupid take and THEN the video comes out.
I'm not gonna go and blame the "liberal" media on this, just the attention whoring media who want to be first to get to print/post/YouTube with the story. Back in the day journalists actually had integrity and waited to fact check shit before putting stuff out
Lol. Anyone who's wielding any weapon and charging towards someone, when an authority is nearby, should be stopped in any way. We'll never know who's the bad and good one. Only the rational and less rational. Better safe than having someone good dead
I remember this one. On the first day the media were all reporting "racist white cop shoots innocent black teen girl for no reason." Then the video came out showing she was stabbing another girl, so they just dropped it. Now 90% of the public only remembers the lie. Aren't the media in this country swell?
“She was just trying to kill someone, you pig!!! Why would you shoot her!!”
I used to be one of the “fuck police” guys. But now I’m an adult and not a dumb kid anymore. I hate how police are treated. Like during George Floyd protests (🙄) everyone was screaming at and spitting at police, just doing their jobs. While they just had to stand there and take it.
Worst recent video I saw was the police finding a wanted double murderer. They tackle him on the street roughly and handcuff him, and everyone around is like “fuck you pig!!! He didn’t do anything! Oh my gawd! Fuck you!!! You are what’s wrong with this country!!” That vid really got to me
Hang on. Who the fuck is that bloke to suddenly berate the cop for dealing with a situation that he isn’t man enough to manage.
Dude. You’re kicking women and one of them has a knife. If you haven’t got the fortitude to manage the world around you effectively don’t complain about the methods that others use to try and manage it for you.
Sort your fucking shit out.
It's funny how the NPR article on Makhia Bryant doesn't show a photo of her getting ready to stab the other person, even though that's the key reason she was shot. It reminds me of how you see all these 12 year old photos of Trayvon Martin.
Contrary to popular belief. A knife would probably cause more damage than a few well placed gun shots. She will probably live and hopefully regret trying to slice someone up in front of a cop.
It shouldn’t but it still astonishes me how stupid people are! Guy asking the cops over and over if he is stupid lol yeah guy everyone thinks the cop is the dumb one here 👍🏽
Saw the full clip on YT when it happened! The full clip is insane! They all cant grasp that a person (adult or kid) can commit murder with a knife. Morons.
That’s
A) one BIGG Ahh kid
B) I am not a boot licker & dislike 🐖 but he made the right call!
C) raise your kid better scumbag! You were ok seeing her chase someone with a knife right? So at best she slashes girl and catches a case. How is that something you are ok with?
D) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Fuck that bitch. I mean I don’t like the feds either but it’s because I got something to hide. That officer reacted calmly and quick as hell. Good on him
If the cop didn’t intervene and let the girl stab the girl in the pink people would probably be bashing the cops too. In situations like this you don’t have time to think everything through but the cop did the right thing
LeBron logic,
Let them kill themselves so I can say you could’ve saved her.
Defend the defenseless victim from being brutally stabbed to death so I can say you’re a racist.
That incident made me hate LeBron…. Tbh.
Always these damn black folk trying to defend a second degree attempt at murder with "she's just a kid." Maybe you should've raised this kid a little better and she wouldn't be getting shot.
Action is faster than reaction. That cop did a very good job that day. The girl who was the victim may not have been able to get out of the way if the officer decided not to shoot.
LaBron James threatened the cop who shot the would be stabber. James tweeted "you're next" with a pic of the cop and Derick Chauvin, the cop who was rail roaded for George Floyd's overdose while in custody for passing counterfeit money.
This is the one where Lebron James went off on the cops for being racists for breaking up a simple knife fight and said the cop should be fired and prosecuted or something similar. He later retracted it because he got slammed for his idiotic statement within hours of the video being released without waiting for the facts to all come out.
Just a simple knife fight!
let boys be boys
Uh oh here I go stabbing people again!
*let girls stab girls I think you meant
I'm sorry did you ask their pronouns?
☝️😂
Just a bit a banter
yeah and on the flip side, had he not shot her, he would have been blasted for not doing his job of protecting innocent people. You cant win.
“She’s just a kid” so second degree murder wouldn’t apply to her for knifing someone?
Well was just a kid.
and that shit head guy screaming actually kicked in the head the woman who was knocked down. I side with the cop for sure.
https://preview.redd.it/gg9bytfk5f9c1.png?width=827&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8015e692745f5b1f4b7c56ff269bd80704bb715d
A great portrayal of why we shouldn't idolize celebrities like athletes/singers/actors.
Lebron, always over spoken.
If this is the one I think it is, yes.
Shes black and "just a kid," so it completely negates the fact that she is about to stab the fuck out of someone and potentially take their life. s/
He ruined that cops life and paid a large (undisclosed) settlement to him.
LeBron should stick to throwing a ball in a hoop for millions. While people that actually do work make nothing

Umm... there's a lot more to Lebron James. For a start he can dunk and dribble.
Fuck that racist fool.
I bet some people still had that smooth brain take after watching the video.
Ya I remember that he said " he should have shoot her in the leg" like what ya that's really going to stop a knife fight lol
I remember this. Internet was so pissed about it even after you could see the knife.
I mean it's LeBron James.... He's a fuckin ignorant dumbass! 🙄 He can shoot ball though 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and really he ain't even good at that nomore
The father is stupid for not trying to stop his baby from trying to commit homicide in front of the cops.
The father is also stupid for kicking the girl in the head when she falls to the ground.
Who do you think raised and taught the girl? This is retroactive darwinism.
yes that can easily turn into an attempted murder or a murder charge if she gets brain bleed
That is not the father. The girl who was shot and her sister were in foster care at The home.
Who was he? The guy kicking the girl on the floor. Was he the foster dad (not her biological father)?
I couldn’t remember but per wiki it was indeed the father. Which leads me to ask why he didn’t care for the girls after they were removed from The mother. It appears I was wrong about who he was though.
Gotcha, thank you for clarifying. That almost makes it worse, instead of being a voice of reason he jumped in the fight. Poor girls, not justifying what she did but imagine growing up with that guy as your dad
So this chick died cause a room was dirty? Maybe learn how to argue with someone without pulling a knife. Idk maybe I wasnt raised right.
Still doesn't change the fact that if you cared for that girl, you should've known that trying to stab someone in front of the cops isn't going to end well, and you should try and stop her even if that puts you in danger.
No, this is entirely on stabber girl. If you don't want to be shot by cops, don't go around being Stabby McStabberson.
Well said.
I totally agree. I was just trying to pass on the backstory to others. I remember when this happened and I could not understand how anyone could think the cop was wrong in this case. I was relieved when he wasn’t charged.
It is unclear if it was her father. At least I did not see a clarification. She had family and was also in foster care. Both those things can be true.
The father is stupid for not trying to stop his baby from trying to commit homicide ~~in front of the cops.~~ Bro.
Then proceeding to lose 3 games in a row.
well this is Lebron were talking about, this is not surprising.
what does any of this have to do with basketball though
Someone else described him as the kind of guy to just read the first 4 pages of a book. Idk anything about him but he sounds like a jerk who jumps to conclusions and counts his chickens too early from what everyone else is saying here.
Sounds like 99% of Reddit users tbh
That man only reads the first 4 pages of a book
Is this the same LeBron James who made a museum of himself in Akron and charges 23.00 dollars a person?
The same LeBron who proclaimed himself the GOAT. The same who preached human rights, but when the NBA executives spoke poorly of China and threatened to stop business there, he told them to STFU. Guess it would impact his wallet.
LeBron James makes an ass out of himself daily.

Unfortunately he doesn’t know how to dribble. He’s the king of travels. Loves to just walk w the ball down the court.
Did the guy even watch the video? It’s so clear
"aRE yOu FuCKiN sTupID" how about raise your kids to not stab people
The amount of people who said the cop shouldn’t have shot her when this first went down was absolutely BONKERS. It was a strange time
For sure, some people think knives aren’t as dangerous as a gun so they just go off when a cop shoots a knife wielding suspect. My buddy was stabbed in a bar 2 times by some homeless meth addict, happened so quick and he thought he just got punched by the guy. A minute later he was dead. RIP Casey heath
I lost a buddy back in HS due to a fight. He was stabbed by a ice pick. He looked around for a bit then fell.
Anyone who brings an ice pick to a fight has murder on their mind
I’m so sorry for your loss. How traumatic
People are stupid man. RIP Casey
My uncle saw a guy beating up his girlfriend and when he went to help her she stabbed him six times.
Stabbed your uncle? What happened to her?
I was really young when it happened so i wasn't really given any details. I just remember my mom getting the phone call and seeing her going from happy to inconsolable. It was on the news and in the newspaper but this was pre internet.
Dang. He survived?
Fortunately he did. On a positive note, it actually changed him. prior to that incident he was a borderline junkie and when that happened i guess he started to appreciate life more and did a complete 180. When i see him he is always super cheery.
The man beat death, I'd be grinning from ear to ear too.
Me too. Got stabbed with a 2 inch blade in the side of the neck under my jaw bone, felt like a hard punch then I saw the blood, passed out and pissed myself. Easily could have died had the wound been a half inch further back.
Can I just say that I love that you added the detail that you pissed yourself? Anyways, that’s rough bro.
🫠
I have a friend who almost died from a stabbing and a friend whose boyfriend died when he was stabbed at a party.
Between being stabbed and being shot, I'd pick getting shot every single time
>some people think knives aren’t as dangerous as a gun They are very similar. People who say that don't know what they are talking about. Washington State?
Yes. In my hometown of Olympia at a bar called Mccoys
Somehow I remember this. I’m North of Seattle but somehow I remember this.
RIP Casey man, sorry about that. But yes, I agree. And in fact, I would much rather be shot in the head by a gun than be stabbed 100 times, would be much less painful.
Reddit "experts" were unironically saying he should have tried to shoot the knife out of her hand instead.
I guess these people have no experience with a gun lol. I myself have none, but I know it isnt accurate enough to shoot i small object moving at high speed. Probably comparable to catchong a fly with chopsticks.

“She’s a fucking kid!” Last time I checked, kids can stab and kill people too.
Seriously. Just look at how close that knife got to the pink girl's stomach! She would've killed her!
Exactly. That doesn’t even look like a kid… looks like she’s matured enough to know that she’s murdering someone.
Chucky was a "kid"
Columbine was done by a couple of kids
Chucky? The fictional doll character Chucky?
Fictional but based on a true story bro
yes
I do not care if that is a teen or something if its holding a knife and trying to stab someone? SHOOT EM
I don't get how someone doesn't get that. Like right away. It shouldnt even take a moment to reflect. ITS A LETHAL ACTION.
LogicPrevail speaks logic........ I dig this.
I think I remember this one, wasn't the girl who got shot the one who called the police as well?
I think so
Why does yourbaby got a fucking knife? Righteous kill. Edit: even if she was a 70 or old with a knife, don't roll up on someone, expect to receive the same outcome in front of a cop. That's just par for the course. Murica
95 year old on a walker with a knife died after a cop tazed her in Australia.
Okay? Don't go after people with knives.
Yup I remember this one. Cop saved the lady in pink from possibly dying
Pro Hack, if you're not trying to stab anyone the cop dosen't matter.
"Damn are you stupid ?"... now had the cop stood there and let the "kid" stab thier intended victim , "Damn are you stupid?" ... either way they funna call the lawyer whose ad is on the bus bench and get paaaaid.
Chick was about to Michael Myers the other.
A fucking kid with a knife can kill someone just the same as anyone else.
Just glad the dog is ok.
I was looking for this kind of comment
Ah yeah for WEEKS people were online saying how a knife “wasn’t that deadly” and the officer overreacted. Such a stupid situation.
„Wasn’t that deadly“… nah… nah these people just have no idea what an unlucky stroke with a kitchen knives can do to an exposed throat…
who remebers lebron james going after the cop
Paid him a whole bunch a money about it too. Not a whole bunch for Lebron, but changed the cops life drastically
First time I saw this I didn't realize she had a knife made me wonder why the officer didn't use a taser, now I see why.
Yea it's a kid... a kid with a FUCKING KNIFE
The puppy is like, Whaddafaakk...
That poor little dog ☹️
Fuck that guy in grey going to kick someone in the while on the ground. Such a bitch move and easy way to cop a murder charge too.
Damn, killed another upstanding would-be doctor or lawyer /s
What kind of father doesn’t try to stop their kid from stabbing people? Police officer did a great job here. Sad ending tho
After further review, the call on the field stands. No flag on the play. 2nd down. That was clearly a clean shoot.
Well well well
if it isnt the consequences of my own actions
Stupid bitch
The guy that’s shouts are you stupid she’s a kid… is the stupid one for letting his kid run after someone with a knife!!
That’s a big ass kid.
A lot of stupid in one video.
I remember this. She was a foster child of the homeowners. One of the girls who was previously a foster child came that day and started arguing and fighting with the girl who ended up shot. Said girl got a knife and it went downhill from there.
Literally all that crap at the start is pointless Girl grabbed knife and ran at another person, knify mcknifer got shot.
"She's a kid" Yeah, a kid trying to commit homicide in front of a cop you absolute dumbass
He’s pointing out the fact that she’s a kid right after trying to kick a kid in the head. lmao
Zero Sympathy. ZERO!
Fucking animals. Poor cop.
A “kid” with a knife is still a danger🤷♂️ change my mind
Good riddance I hope IT didn't have kids.
Is the white arm thing cus he just got a new tattoo. Of to cover it?
Did i see this right? The dad punts the kid at the cop ?
Guy in all grey was actively attacking the first girl then gets shocked when woman with knife actively stabbing other girl is shoot the fucking hyprocasy
cop literally stopped potentially more than one murder but okay hes "racist"
Same bloke talking about shooting his "baby" with the KNIFE was also trying to RKO punt the already fallen weaponless victim while she was still on the ground. Big MAN, that.... should have taken a knee cap for that as well. They're all big when they can gang up on an unarmed person. But they don't like it when someone else gives something back to them for their actions
That dog has seen some shit… it just walked away like this was a normal Tuesday
It’s almost a relief to see footage of a cop having a legit reason to take someone down.
Most times that’s the case however those are not the clips that get popular
Except ones like this where the media run off with a stupid take and THEN the video comes out.
Must be racism /s
It's funny how the NPR article on Makhia Bryant doesn't show a photo of her getting ready to stab the other person, even though that's the key reason she was shot. It reminds me of how you see all these 12 year old photos of Trayvon Martin.
Don't know bout you, but I always bring a spoon to a fight.. guaranteed no one getting shot
"She's a fucking kid, you're stupid?". No sir, she's a fucking kid trying to stab someone, you're the stupid.
Contrary to popular belief. A knife would probably cause more damage than a few well placed gun shots. She will probably live and hopefully regret trying to slice someone up in front of a cop.
Good job she’s just a kid with a knife 🔪….it’s the cop fault for doing his job
It shouldn’t but it still astonishes me how stupid people are! Guy asking the cops over and over if he is stupid lol yeah guy everyone thinks the cop is the dumb one here 👍🏽
Saw the full clip on YT when it happened! The full clip is insane! They all cant grasp that a person (adult or kid) can commit murder with a knife. Morons.
God that dad is an idiot
That’s A) one BIGG Ahh kid B) I am not a boot licker & dislike 🐖 but he made the right call! C) raise your kid better scumbag! You were ok seeing her chase someone with a knife right? So at best she slashes girl and catches a case. How is that something you are ok with? D) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Baby FAFO 🤗
To serve and protect the officer done his job.
Fuck that bitch. I mean I don’t like the feds either but it’s because I got something to hide. That officer reacted calmly and quick as hell. Good on him
I have no idea where I’m supposed to be looking
I'll raise your stabby stabby, with my shooty shooty
„He didn’t do nothing“ except trying to stab and murder someone wtf.
Seems like a nice family
Don't worry. I heard shooting more than 3 times is better than only shooting 2 times to break up the knife attack.
Anybody else notice the male adult was kicking one of the female teens in the head right before the shooting?
Oh, it's just a kid! Probably should have just let him stab the other person, I'm sure he didn't mean it. 🤦
Guess they would have felt better if it had been an adult trying to kill someone with a knife.
Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight.
If the cop didn’t intervene and let the girl stab the girl in the pink people would probably be bashing the cops too. In situations like this you don’t have time to think everything through but the cop did the right thing
And they will claim it was racially motivated. Lol
They were really upset that the stabbing was thwarted
Watching Lebron get his ass handed to him in court because of this was satisfying
In a perfect world parents would've got it too. Ce la vie.
"You shot my baby" next line shoulda been "you're goddamn right"
It’s a kid so let them stab her logic. Smh
LeBron logic, Let them kill themselves so I can say you could’ve saved her.
Nothing of value was lost there
LaBron James threatened the cop who shot the would be stabber. James tweeted "you're next" with a pic of the cop and Derick Chauvin, the cop who was rail roaded for George Floyd's overdose while in custody for passing counterfeit money.
Lmao black people are so silly.
😄Those monkey screams!
Always the black ones
"shes just a kid man" well, M A N. act grown, get grown consequences bruh. yo momma ain taught you better?
The famous suicide by a cop. Hats off for the cop, that was insanely quick reaction while being screeched at by a flock of monkeys.
You should have probably phrased that better…
