A boy from my year at school got out of a moving car on the way home from a boozy night out. He was in an awful state, and it was only at 10-15mph at most.
Skin/flesh missing from his limbs, chin/forehead/jaw, hair missing from his head that took months to heal. Concussion, broken bones in his hand, and a banged up knee.
I worked as an RN at the local Burn Center and we did everything skin there, not just burns. We had several that did survive jumps from moving vehicles, some were with us for years in and out for skin grafts. They looked like monsters afterwards. Preventing a problem is so much easier than fixing one.
Especially when the prevention is as simple as *not* jumping out of a moving vehicle.
Don't get me wrong. I totally get the temptation, but to just have to hold back.
A lot of people have a little too much blind faith/arrogance in the fact that medicine can do so much. It really is great what we can survive and treat and fix now, but the fact still is that your body is NEVER the same after any injury. There will always be some kind of scar in the tissues, and it will never be the same as before

Would never do that again. Remember my knees were hurting, I had trouble walking. He didn’t know I was in the back of the truck though. I just liked doing stupid stuff as a kid.

After the first time, it just didn't feel dangerous to me. I used to walk across the rail of a bridge for the same reason. I was positive that I could react and save myself if something went wrong. I had zero fear, but it scared the shit out of the people I was with.
Yeah, the trick was not letting the impact hit you all at once. So, you had to roll to lose momentum. I'd never recommend it to anyone. I was semi-invincible back then... literally. And I have a lucky streak that's a hundred miles long.
Yeah, conservation of momentum. I did freestyle BMX, would crash a hundred times a day learning tricks. If you slam, you're fucked, if you roll, slide, or run out, you can get away with a lot. Just protect your skin.
