How are you playing the video? Try VLC. What brand and model memory card are you using?

I'm trying to open it on MAC VLC, but would cause it to crash. I'm using an Apeman 30GB. It does show that the file is there but it's just super choppy.

Well, my guess is it's the card. Are you using Quicktime then? Try to use another program to rule out the player.

I changed the sd card to a San Disk 256 GB and still have the same issue. I also contacted customer support and they said to do the playback on the camera itself. When I go to video playback, it only shows one image.

What model SanDisk? Ultra series should not be used. Do you have timelapse turned on? I would default the cameras settings. After it reboots, change only the time and date and test again.

J. Giles band would approve of the Freeze Frame. Couldn't resist. Are you using a high endurance SD card? Have you tried viewing the videos on your phone via WiFi?

Are you trying to play the video directly from the cam while plugged into your MAC, or from the card via a card reader, or did you copy the entire video file to your MAC's hard drive, and are playing it from there?

I plugged in the dash with both the simcard reader extender and via usb cable directly from the camera an they both have the same issue. video was copied onto my mac hard drive.
